Elon Musk Speaks On His Concerns About Artificial Intelligence (Video)
I’m an alien… It’s true.
– Elon Musk
Got the full (very full) show with Elon chatted up for over 2 and 1/2 hours of tech talk (for those who want it) after the jump. But the clip above though: We’re focused on convo about artificial intelligence. Probably goes without saying that a Mars expedition (like the Space X venture being planned) has gotta be able to use some of that sweet A.I. Especially if the crew runs into some ‘other’ aliens (ha)!
Thoughtful (and kinda scary) insights from the guy we call ‘Real Life Tony Stark’ around here.

Science: Elon Musk’s Plans For Humans Moving From Earth To Mars Have Likely Been Thwarted (Video)
Dang it.
Musk put the numbers, plans, presentations, and MONEY on it. I was thinking futuristic ‘Martians’ would be humans – ‘terrans’ if you want to speak ‘Star Trek’ about it – in the not-so-distant future. But now we have proof of water on Mars, meaning the possibility of LIFE. And it turns out that we already have a ‘flavor’ of Trek’s prime directive (e.g. planetary protection rules) already in place… and blocking any Space X effort to terraform the Red Planet for human inhabitance. That, and the realization that what it’d take to give Mars an atmosphere is all but impossible.
Watch the vid above and follow the link below to read up.
(But hey, upside: Life on Mars already! Maybe…)

Cover Story: How Falcon Heavy Will Change Space Travel (Video)
Did you catch SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, the other day? Wonder what all the fuss was about? And maybe why it carried a red Tesla roadster into orbit? Well, watch and learn, friends. Watch and learn.
Technology: Tesla’s New Semi Truck And Roadster (Video)
Aw c’mon maaaan! Real-life Tony Stark (aka Elon Musk) had his company whip up a couple of new future whips… and one is a TRUCK????! A damn SEMI??! Wow!
Elon Musk unveiled Tesla’s new Semi truck and (in a surprise) a second-generation Roadster. The truck is supposed to get 500 miles per charge, while the Roadster is said to achieve 620 miles.
– The Verge
That’s 500 miles, at maximum weight, at highway speed… which Tesla’s truck can get to faster than today’s diesel models. Yeah. Musk’s truck can kick our trucks’ asses.
Elon Musk Updates The 2017 International Astronautical Congress On The SpaceX Mission To Mars (Video)
Elon Musk is going to Mars. You know that, right? We have been saying it here. But this visual presentation… Okay, you know when a planned trip starts getting real? When you have real talk about how to get there and how to PAY for it. Click play above and watch Musk get real right from the start.
Elon Musk gives new details about SpaceX Mission to Mars at the 2017 International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Adelaide, Australia and reveals plans to shorten most long distance travels to less than 30 minutes. September 2017.
– Expovista TV
Full disclosure: There is a lot of science & tech in this talk, but you can hang. Press play and get excited about the future of space travel!
Mars: To Boldly Go Where No Human Has Gone Before, Space X Will Need To Get A Lander Up And The Cost Of Relocating To Mars Down (Video)
Wow, so SpaceX is launching its manned Mars lander in 2020? Wow. The goal of ‘making humans a multi-planetary species’ seems kind of far out, and that is the point. Mars is the next planet over, sure, but it ain’t just “next door.” It is far out there.
SpaceX Founder, CEO, and Lead Designer Elon Musk will discuss the long-term technical challenges that need to be solved to support the creation of a permanent, self-sustaining human presence on Mars. The technical presentation will focus on potential architectures for sustaining humans on the Red Planet that industry, government and the scientific community can collaborate on in the years ahead.
– SpaceX
Interesting. Musk is the first big wig in space matters to address why we are trying to just go back to the moon… It is not a good candidate for terraforming (e.g. we cannot make an Earth-like planet of it). Watch the presentation above and read a bit more below.
Cover Story: CEOs Elon Musk And Bob Iger Quit The President’s Advisory Councils After Trump Dumped The Paris Accord (Video)
Remember the shocking revelation that our very own ‘real life Tony Stark’ – Elon Musk – would be advising Donald Trump in the White House? We posted on that on here.
When I saw the news that Trump dumped on Musk’s advice, and pulled out of the Paris Accord, I found myself wondering, borrowing a lyric from 4-IZE, “How’d That Work Out?”
Well, Tesla CEO Musk said he’d leave the White House advisory councils on which he serves if President Trump withdrew from the Paris climate agreement. Well, Trump withdrew.
And Musk left.
So…, “How’d That Work Out?” It didn’t.
In the aftermath of withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Accord, Trump really sees no downside. He had his reasons, and he is not looking to impress folks, at all, including advisors like Musk or Robert Iger (Disney CEO, who also just resigned from his advisory role).
So, to review, the President has just lost the support of ‘real life Tony Stark’ and the CEO of the ‘Universe’ in which movie ‘Tony Stark’ lives… Plus taking the most powerful nation on the planet off the nations-try-to-save-the-world climate change team. Kinda eff’d in the sci-fi world AND real world.
Yup.

Elon Musk Is An Economic Advisor To President Trump? He’s Got Some Explaining (And Tweeting) To Do! [Video]
Well… real-life Tony Stark could very well have a point. We will see in short order if The Donald listens or says, “Elon Musk, you’re fired.”
Last December, Elon Musk joined Trump’s economic advisory council. But in light of all that has happened within Trump’s first two weeks in office, Musk’s new position has come under fire by some of Musk’s fans. So, on Super Bowl Sunday Musk took to Twitter to answer followers’ questions about everything from Tesla to Trump.

Elon Musk: Life Is A Videogame? (Video)
Consider that we, in what we call reality, actually exist as part of a simulation (like ‘The Matrix’). It sounds crazy, but billionaire tech futurist Elon Musk says it is crazy not to think of our existence in this way. He posits that 40 years ago, the height of video gaming tech was pong – two rectangles and a dot. In less than half a century we grew the tech into some realistic, 3D simulations, in a ‘world’ of millions of simultaneous players… and such tech is getting better and better, faster and faster. Soon the line between real and virtual could very well become irrevocably blurred. Heck, to have Musk tell it, it may have happened already.
Could that be accidental, incidental, or random evolution? Well, Musk says what he thinks. What do YOU think?
Got An Apple Watch? Then You Can ‘Summon’ A Tesla Car Like Michael Knight Calls KITT (Video)
Once again, a nerdgasmic advance in real-world technology. Megabucks real-life Tony Starks aka Elon Musk, and his Tesla car brand, are showing us something really, really COOL! Remember how the car (KITT) on the Knight Rider TV show used to come when Michael Knight (played by David Hasselhoff) called him on his super-spy type watch? Yeah, that’s the Tesla Summon feature.
Dope, right? Oh, and the car in the clip above… it drives itself, too!
Tesla’s Coming Out With A New Model And Coming Down On Its Price (Video)
It’s no longer a game…no longer a pipe dream. The new Tesla hits production lines in 2017; so sayeth Elon Musk. And before you suck your teeth and go, “So what? Another electric car that no regular person can afford,” ask yourself if you can scrape up $1000 down for a brand new car of the future. That’s the ‘reserve’ fee. Price tag is $35,000…confirmed. And with tax breaks, get yourself one for $25,000.
Price is no longer an object. Watch.
(FYI… that is NOT the car in the video… Tesla’s not giving us that early a look.)
Tesla Unveils ‘Autopilot’ Function To Make Its Cars Driverless (Video)
Elon Musk (you know, the dude after whom the makers of the ‘Iron Man’ movies modeled Tony Stark) says the D series of Tesla’s Model S sedan will be out soon; and he is gunning to put autonomous cars on the road by 2023.
I think we’ll be able to achieve true autonomous driving, where you could literally get in the car, go to sleep and wake up at your destination.
– Elon Musk
Now, take it easy, it is expected to take two to three years after release for regulators to approve the autonomous cars for use in public. Still, the company demo’d its autopilot feature at a media event outside Los Angeles a little over a week ago.
(More video after the jump.)
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk Tells Stephen Colbert: ‘We Should Go To Mars’ (Video)
Elon Musk (aka Marvel Comics’ character Tony Starks come to life) recently interviewed with Stephen Colbert, telling him that he is “aspiring to send people to Mars.” Of course, the billionaire who owns SpaceX has had his eyes on out-of-this-world travel, but his reasoning is intriguing. Worth watching the above clip for.
“…humanity as we know it is likely to propagate into the future much further than if we are a single-planet species…[It’s] life insurance, collectively…It would be the greatest adventure ever…really exciting and inspiring…it’s possible to transform Mars into an Earth-like planet.”
Very cool.
The Real Life Tony Stark: Elon Musk Was Inspiration For Marvel’s “Iron Man” Movie Character (Video)
Forty-year-old South African innovator Elon Musk (featured in the video vignette above) served as an inspiration for the fictional genius billionaire Tony Stark in the “Iron Man” movies, according to director Jon Favreau. Mr. Musk even made a cameo in one of the movies. A quick peek at his profile lets us know that Mr. Musk is indeed the Marvel comic character come to life!
Successful in bold business ventures, Mr. Musk’s Tesla Motors, Inc. (of Palo Alto, California), already has more than 10,000 orders for its Model S high-end electric car. A futurist with eyes toward the skies (and beyond), Mr. Musk’s Falcon 9 rocket (developed by his Hawthorne-based business SpaceX) took an unmanned Dragon capsule on a mission to the International Space Station – marking the first time a private company has sent a spacecraft to the space station. Mr. Musk, ever the industrialist, also helped cousins Lyndon and Peter Rive develop their soon-to-be public SolarCity solar panel company (and he currently serves as Chairman of its Board). Oh yeah… forgot to mention that Mr. Musk also founded PayPal (which sold to eBay for $1.5 billion a while ago)!
But alas, like Tony Stark, Mr. Musk is something of a troubled ladies’ man – recently splitting with his actress wife, Talulah Riley; his second, as author Justine Musk was his first. Justine is coming out with a book…and word has it that it will NOT be a flattering piece of literature.
Mm..mm…mm…it’s hard out here for a futurist…industrialist…philanthropist…tech wiz…PLAYER!
