Drake – Started From The Bottom (Video)
Perfect timing during all the Grammy hoop-la for the Toronto native to drop his brand new video from one of his better hip hop related songs in recent years. It’s all about the come up. Many of us can relate to starting from the bottom, but few actually make it….

Meek Mill – “Amen” feat. Drake
North Philly rap artist Meek Mill’s latest single “Amen” featuring Drake is catchy as hell, but it’s most definitely not a gospel record in any shape or form. The song is the latest single to appear on Meek Mill’s upcoming album “Dreams & Nightmares” due August 28th pushed back to October 30th on Maybach Music Group. If you’ve just left church thinking this is an inspirational gospel hip hop record you’ll be sadly mistaken. Amen. Chuuuuch. Preeeeeach. Tabernacle.
Studio Session: Pusha T & R&B Singer ‘The-Dream’ Speak On Their ‘Exodus 23:1’ Collaboration (Video)
It’s interesting in this MTV video Pusha T & The-Dream discuss everything about working together on this song, but the interviewer may have failed to ask Pusha T about who he’s talking about in this new ‘Exodus 23:1’ record. Yeah Yeah it doesn’t take much to figure out who he’s talking about already **COUGH** Drake **COUGH** but it would good to see an official response. Battles are good for hip hop as long as cats keep it all on the record & showcase their skills….

Melanie Fiona Speaks On Forming A Past Group With Drake Called ‘The Renaissance’ In Toronto (Video)
I found this story to be rather interesting from R&B singer Melanie Fiona. She explains that she & Drake were in a group together called ‘The Renaissance’. Nice little piece of information that I never knew right here…
Commons Speaks On Ending The Beef With Drake (Video)
“In a candid interview in Los Angeles with Cabbie Richards, hip hop artist Common reveals how he and Drake squashed their beef before the 2012 Grammy Awards. They met face to face and had an amicable resolution. Common also denies rumors that his beef with Drake emanated from Drake’s alleged relationship with tennis star Serena Williams. Conversation took place at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood on Feb. 20, 2012.” – Cabbie Richards

MTV Names Their Hottest Rappers In The Game For 2012 (Video)
I labeled this as “MTV’s Hottest Emcees Rappers In The Game” because not everyone on this list is an “emcee”….some are just rappers or singers. Either way it is what it is…Rap lists these days don’t hold much weight, but if you’re a real hip hop head like myself then you’ll chuckle out loud at some of things said by people on this panel. Ah well…What’d you expect from MTV & the current state of radio & rap music these days…Overall it’s just a reflection of how bad “mainstream” rap music is. There’s plenty of great music out there, but most of it ISN’T on the radio unfortunately. One thing I was surprised about was seeing the homie @BosNaud was on this panel. I haven’t looked at all the vids as of yet so I hope he represented well. Check out links to the discussion on the other candidates on “MTV’s 2012 Hottest Rappers On The Radio Payola” “MTV’s 2012 Hottest Rappers In The Game” list below….
Common – “Stay Schemin” Remix (Dissing Drake)
Common hops on the Rick Ross, French Montana, & Drake joint to respond back to the Toronto kid’s subliminal disses. Honestly I don’t feel like Drake would win a lyrical battle against Chi-town’s finest emcee unless someone wrote the battle raps for him. On a blackberry. Ironically enough Drake’s verse on this joint sounds like Rick Ross wrote it.
Girl Transforms Into Drake Using Only Makeup (Video)
This young lady needs to get a job in Hollywood as a makeup artist. In this video above she uses makeup to completely transform herself into a Drake look-alike. I laughed out loud when she did Drake’s hand wave motion at the end. Maybe Drake is really a female artist posing as a male. I kid I kid…Hahaaa!
Common Confirms that ‘Sweet’ Was A Diss Towards Drake (Video)
I said it early on my radio show a few weeks back that the song “Sweet” on Common’s newly released “The Dreamer, The Believer” album was dissing Drake & now Common finally confirms it in his interview with Sway on Sirius XM radio. I believe it all started with Drake’s song “Marvin’s Room” & Serena Williams dancing on video at Drake’s crib. If you’ve been out of the loop Serena Williams & Common have had a very public relationship. Apparently I’m not the only one who saw this coming as most people are blaming Common for provoking this so-called “Beef”….
Comedy: Affion Crockett Parodies Drake’s “Headlines” (Video)
Affion Crockett parodies Drake’s hit record “Headlines” with “HeadVines”…awww mannn! HILARIOUS!!!

Ludacris – Bada Boom (Video)
Ludacris drops a new video for his diss record aimed at Big Sean & Drake who had been taking not so subtle shots at him a few months back. Luda is nice with his pen game & honestly I’d be surprised if they responded lyrically, but then again some people tend to be turned off by lyrical battles. Not me though…

Rick Ross Speaks On New Mixtape with Drake (Video)
I’m very skeptical about this project ever seeing the light of day but at least for now Ross confirms a mixtape with Drake. -Haze
Drake’s Father Speaks Out (Video)
Drake’s father speaks out in Memphis about the success his son Drake is garnering especially with his projected sales of over 675,000 copies of his current album Take Care. Drake’s father makes a few interesting comments that I’m sure his fans in Toronto may not like…
Future Says Drake’s Absence In “Tony Montana” Video Is A “Slap In The Face”
Honestly I could careless about either Drake or Future, I’m not so familiar with either one of them for many reasons, but it did start a conversation in hip hop circles about established artist supporting newer acts and vice versa. Lots of different people have chimed in on this topic in the last few days.

The Fugees x Drake – ‘Drizzy Settles The Score’ (Mixtape)
Check out this creative mixtape by DJ Alexei who remixed Drake vocals with The Fugees’s classic album ‘The Score’. The artwork had me laughing at first because the graphic designer straight disrespected Pras like he doesn’t even exist. Hahaaa! You can download the mixtape by clicking on the artwork above, the link below, or just listen to the stream below. The complete tracklisting is under the hood……
