Wow! Don Cheadle did more than study, or ‘get into’ his role playing his music idol Miles Davis. He became the man. “Miles Ahead” will be more than a mere ‘movie’ about Miles; rather a worthy retelling. Don is SERIOUS about this; and he wrote a letter about it. Wanna read it? Here it go.
A film for Miles Davis has to exist in a different ecosystem where there are no rules. It’s not a biopic, it’s an adventure, it’s a drama, it’s a love story, it’s about the core of human experience.

Don Cheadle x Black Milk – “H8DES” (Short Film)

Vanity Fair tapped Don Cheadle to produce a short film for its ongoing series, The Decades. Don, in turn, tapped Black Milk to produce the score. Here is the finished work – “H8DES” – that draws on 1980s to drive its story. Reaganomics, the rise of AIDS and the crack epidemic, technology of the era… all in there. Watch above.
