PRhyme – “Courtesy†(Full-Length Video)
Okay, so before when we put up a PRhyme visual post for “Courtesy” we were letting go a ‘full clip’… as in click-clack-pow-pow-brrraakk. This is the full video. The one before was a less than 2-minute teaser. He is the entire visual presentation off the “PRhyme” album from Royce and Preemo (out now).
Fisher – “Fish Over Premier” (Premier Fish) [Prod. DJ Premier]
Now, without a doubt, DITC’s got production on lock solidly; but if their newbie emcee Fisher gets the chance to rhyme over Preemo prouction… come on. Why stand in his way? This “Fish Over Premier” (Premier Fish) is just a one-time thing, right? Ha! With lyrical skills like these? Don’t be surprised if this hook-up happens again (like maybe on Fisher’s forthcoming “GODmc” project)!

The 2015 BET Cyphers: Def Squad Reunited (Video)(Video)
The headline says it all; like its own byline. Did you see the Cyphers this year? Always the best part of the BET Hip-Hop Awards. We expect a ‘wow’ moment or two from the Awards’ broadcast; and a Cypher is a good bet for a source. Well, there was [at least] a BIG one in this year’s – Erick Sermon, Keith Murray and Redman spitting with DJ Scratch taking the Preemo spot (see what we did there?) for the set. Def Squad comes back to life for the night! Good to see.
Click the pic above to start with the Squad. Got the rest of this year’s Cyphers linked after the jump.
Papoose – “Hold The City Down” (Prod. By DJ Premier)
Is it Preem’s beats that make emcees beast out on a track; or is it that he only allows beast mode emcees to bless his beats? So far, the result has been win-win. Latest exhibit of that: This new Papoose jawn “Hold The City Down.” Dope! Plus, a bonus… FREE download!

Torae – “Saturday Night” (Prod. By DJ Premier)
Whew! Torae spitting and Preemo talking with his hands on this “Saturday Night.” Storytelling rhyming at its finest, and that airy boom-bap track… Banging!
(The jealous husband kicking in the door part though. Wowww!)
Hip-Hop/Jazz: DJ Premier x The BADDER – “BPATTER” (Video)
The power of a big band jazz act distilled down to five funky, fired up pieces - DJ Premier and his new band, The BADDER – giving y’all this work: “BPATTER” (the ‘P’ is kinda silent, the way Preemo says it, but not really how he plays it). So, we have Preem on the wheels, Lenny “The Ox” Reece on the skins, Brady Watt on the bass, Mark Williams on the bone, and Takuya Kuroda on the trumpet. Check it out. Nice!
Anderson .Paak Breaks Down His Verse On “Animals” Off Dr. Dre’s “Compton” LP (Video)
One of my favorite songs off of Dr. Dre’s new “Compton” album is “Animals” produced by DJ Premier featuring this artist right here!
Up and coming West Coast Rapper/Singer Anderson .Paak was featured heavily on Dr. Dre’s latest album “Compton” which was inspired by the new film “Straight Outta Compton.” Anderson performs and provides the meaning behind an important track to him on the album, “Animals” which was produced by Dr. Dre and DJ Premier.
Sidney Max – “Angry Birds Friends: Here Come the Birds” feat. Dres (Prod. By DJ Premier) [Video]
Awwwww, this is beyond adorable! Blessed enough to have got on Dres’ (of Black Sheep) Facebook friend list, I caught wind of every tidbit of news on the development of this Sidney Max project. Sidney is Dres’ son; and Daddy’s got his boy coloring inside the Hip-Hop lines beautifully with this “Here Come the Birds” (produced by DJ Premier). This is wonderful on so many levels… You can’t debate it!

Papoose – “The Plug†(Prod. By DJ Premier)
Over the DJ Premier track, and Preemo scratches, Papoose comes through with the “The Plug,â€Â for his forthcoming album, “You Can’t Stop Destiny” (due out July 17, 2015). So now you know DJ Premier will be on the LP. Of course, Remy Ma gonna be on it. Then there’s the likes of Havoc, Ron Browz, Troy Ave and more. Hold on a li’l while longer until then. Run this for now (links below).

PRhyme – “Courtesy” (Marco Polo Remix)
Boom! You know Marco Polo can deliver the goods on production if you visit us here frequently. Here, he dares retouch a Preemo production?? Is it worthy? It’s posted, right? Dope! Respect to Marco for his take on “Courtesy” (original on the DJ Premier x Royce da 5’9 self-titled collaboration LP “PRhyme”).
My remix of “Courtesy.”
Shouts to one of my fav albums of last year. #PRhyme

Miguel Speaks On Working With DJ Premier, Wale & More (Video)
Miguel stopped by the Hot 97 studios to promo his single “Coffee†as well as his forthcoming album, “Wild Heart.” But since he was there, he talked to the Morning Show crew about what the Met Gala is, what’s going on in his relationship with girlfriend Nazanin Mandi, what was up working with super-producers DJ Premier and Pharrell Williams and Wale and much more.
PRhyme – Tour Life (Video)
Sounds, sights and insights from PRhyme on tour across the USA. PRhyme (DJ Premier, Royce Da 5’9), Boldy James, and Your Old Droog make their way through Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, New York City…into Preemo’s stomping grounds (Houston). What makes this tour, the folks involved and chemistry special; how they got up with each other for it; the real deal behind the “PRhyme” name & project; stories on the road. Great stuff! Part 1 of 3 embedded above. The next two parts that in sequence are after the jump. Before you are done, you could ‘jump’ over to the prior post (via link below) and grab the “PRhyme” LP.
DJ Premier: From Russia With Love (Video)
The legendary DJ Premier gets in full tourist mode while out in Russia for his Boiler Room set. Although he’s stated he’s been there about 4 times in his life, this is the very first time he admittedly allowed himself to be a tourist in Moscow, Russia. Hopefully we get more of these ‘Premier Wuz Here’ videos from other places that “Primo” happens to touch down on ‘The Planet’.

Ryan Bowers – “The Premier” (Prod. By DJ Premier) [Video]
We don’t really have to dwell on the “The Premier” being produced by DJ Premier, do we? But c’mon. Preemo producing your sh!t is pretty much an indicator that an emcee has arrived. In here. However, this video… It’s more like Ryan Bowers’ indication of his willingness to take it there. Some of this you’ll watch with your WTF face on. But that’s okay. It’s a fun approach to boom bap. Who could hate on that?
The iTunes link for the single; right here.
PRhyme – “You Should Know” feat. Dwele (Video)
On tour this side of the ocean, PRhyme (you know, super duo Royce Da 5’9 and Primo) takes the time to bless the net with new visuals. This is for “You Should Know†(featuring Dwele) off the selt-titled LP.
Pick up that new And we been having the cop-that link set up for you. Linked below.
Behind-The-Scenes: DJ Premier Rehearsing With His New Band (Video)
Check out this video of DJ Premier’s newly formed Live Band rehearsing out in ‘the land of the rising sun.’ Konichiwa from Japan for those of y’all that don’t know. Preemo doesn’t have a name for the band as of yet, but he’s expressed on twitter how he wants the fans help in coming up with a good name that doesn’t involve any Gangstarr or DJ Premier references. I think they should use the name ‘Robbin Hood Theory’ but that’s just my 2-cents. Anyway…. Make sure you tweet to him directly at @REALDJPREMIER with #NamePreemosNewBand hastag, or head to www.premierwuzhere.com and/or leave comments below the video posting. Good to see DJ Premier & the crew released this video of them practicing. Most most rap groups & artists these days don’t take pride in their work & got it confused with the Allen Iverson practice theory.
