I love what Diamond D is doing by releasing a video for almost every song off of his dope ‘The Diam Piece’ album that’s out right now. He dropping all the videos at the right times too which allows the album to continuously breath new life for those that slept. Not us though. We’ve been banging various joints on the radio show with regularity. This time around Diamond D takes it back to the West Coast on the production with Kurupt & Tha Alkaholiks for their collaborative ‘We Are The People Of The World’ track. It has that West Coast snap with excellent visuals directed by Dr. Zodiak. Niiiiiiiice

Brand new video from Diamond D’s incredibly dope album ‘Diam Piece’ that’s out now. There’s a lot of dope joints on the project & this collaboration video with Masta Ace is another one from that project. I’m glad to see Diamond is releasing videos from the project with all of the quality collaborations he’s done to make the ‘Diam Piece’ a success. Great title for this song which is an obvious play on words on both of their names. This project Directed & Edited by Varras Tower also features cameos from music industry veteran Dante Ross, Kid Capri, Atlanta based emcee BIGREC, Jamal from the rap group Illegal, 8ball of the legendary Memphis Tennessee group 8ball & MJG, & more.

DJ Scratch, who produced the track, also makes a cameo appearance in this joint shot in Atlanta & directed by my homies Nick Burnz & Amond Jackson. Don’t sleep on that ‘Diam Piece’ album because there’s quite a number of bangers we still rock out to on my radio show.

The official D.I.T.C. emcee, DJ, & producer Diamond D’s new album the ‘Diam Piece’ has been one of my favorites to have dropped in 2014. After dropping the new video ‘Only Way 2 Go’ featuring Pete Rock just a number of days ago, Diamond D takes it out to the West Coast for new visuals to ‘It’s Magic’ featuring the dual threat of Alchemist & Evidence who are literally ‘laying it down’ in the streets of Los Angeles.

Pharoahe Monch feat. Diamond D – “Rap Life” (Video)

Brand new video from Pharoahe Monch for the Diamond D produced banger “Rap Life”. I was fortunate to be able to see this video well before it was released thanks to my homie Amond Jackson from Salem Psalms Library who co-directed the flick with Deacon the Villain. The video features a quite a number of noteworthy cameos including dope west coast producer Alchemist but what stands out to me are the number of talented FEMALE DJs, visual artists, emcees, producers who make cameos in the clip. Visual artist & photographer Ree Swa is seen holding the Japanese sword in the video while critically respected female emcees such as Jean Grae, Boog Brown, & Stahhr make ‘Rap Life’ appearances as well as my homegirl, model & true school hip hop head, Miss Serena AZ who’s seen holding the guns in the clip. Be on the lookout for Diamond D’s upcoming project ‘The Diam Piece’ as well as Pharoahe Monch’s upcoming project “P.T.S.D” (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)” with the latter being out to tax you on April 15th. Pharoahe Monch’s project may have very few features for the conceptually based project, however Diamond D’s background primarily as a producer should require him to have a lengthy guestlist that will include Fat Joe, Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Elzhi, Smif-N-Wessun, Hi-Tek, Ras Kass, Kurupt, Camp Lo, & more. Peep some behind-the-scenes photos from the video shoot & trailers to both Pharaohe Monch’s & Diamond D’s upcoming projects below….

Atlanta based emcee BIGREC has been murdering mics & stages for a minute now from New Orleans to Oklahoma City. Eventually famed producer Diamond D of the legendary New York City based Diggin In The Crates crew linked to produce a full-length album with the beastly wordsmith called “DoomsDay” which is due April 15th. Check out the dope new video for the single, directed by Tommy Nova, featuring a number of cameos from artists firmly entrenched within Atlanta’s hip hop scene.
