Man, this latest Dayne Jordan jawn reached so deep the first time I watched (my count is six times as of this post). “Family Man” was produced by the incomparable DJ Jazzy Jeff, making the song a Philly brothers connection. Wanna make this sub a real Philly… put in The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air clip of Will Smith in PAIN when his dad dipped on him AGAIN! Yep, right at the heart of the video, so it cuts deep (shout to director Cristopher Schafer, the same genius that brings us ‘Vinyl Destination’)!
And comedian Top Rope Zeus took his role as a dad on the ropes in the fight we call real life. Too real. I’ve gotten that ‘this is your last day letter and handshake’… twice!
Get to watching; again and again. Jordan! And it counts!

DJ Jazzy Jeff and the fellas a half-world away. Hong Kong, hit some shops, get some sneaks, rock the spot. Then to Melbourne: Hop a plane and do it again (well, first time for Dayne Jordan but still). Yeah, just another Vinyl Destination episode.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew are in Hong Kong. No visit to Hong Kong is complete without a trip to the renowned Sneaker Street. DJ Ferno and Dayne Jordan can’t believe their eyes as they peruse the shops in amazement. After the show, Dayne gets a chance to connect with fans old and new. Next up is Sydney, Australia where things get heated for Jeff at the hotel and the show. Later, Steve takes time to reflect on his experiences while roaming the streets of Melbourne.
Luxurious life of globetrotters. Oh look, hot Mickey D’s. Awesome. And hotter hotel rooms. Super awesome. These ‘awesomes’ are sarcastic… just to clarify). Still good times. Watch.

Dayne Jordan and Cristopher Schafer (for Visually Inklined) did the work for this visual for “Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood†from the “Memoirs of Dayne Jordan” LP. Incredible to suggest, with the title font and initial foreground images, that we were going to get a “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood” video. But nah, this is Mr. Jordan’s neighborhood… sweet is balanced by bitterness – stoops and porches, dark alleys and overgrowth. Good heartfelt storytelling. Think “All My Favorite Rappers Are Dead” is a R.I.P. B.I.G. and P.A.C. and other fallen Hip-Hop greats? Well, a little of that… but a lot of direct jabs thrown in the direction of rappers who are still here but are not bringing the real anymore. Skillz calls everybody onto the carpet, including himself! Listen.
Been traveling a lot, deejaying, and my close friends have been on me for months about releasing the Mad Skillz/Bink album. Being that he did the track for the Rap Up this year (it’s the hardest one ever), I felt like the timing was right. The album drops New Years Eve and is titled “Made In Virginia.” This song features Dayne Jordan and is on the album as well, enjoy.

I got wind of this from Dayne Jordan himself. He let me know he released a new song…“LOST.” I checked for it on his site. Boom. Doooope!
