2019 SDCC Teasers For All The DC Series, Including One For The Final Season Of “Arrow” (Series Trailers)

Now you know that San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) was loaded down with trailers; all the trailers anyone could watch. Maybe more than anyone could stand. But now that I found this epic batch of DC streaming/TV teasers, what I cannot stand is the waiting!
(Of course, I could add an Epix subscription to my cable package and get started watching that “Pennyworth” series. Hmmm…)

Marvin “Krondon†Jones III Speaks On Starring In ‘Black Lightning’ And His Rap Career (Video)

Been really into the latest addition to The CW’s #DareToDefy lineup, “Black Lightning.” Dope from all angles. And a word on casting: When ‘Scooter’ from “Living Single” (shout to the homie @65phenom aka BigDee for that non-trivial bit of TV trivia) is the hero… AND your main bad guy is KRNDN aka Krondon (of Strong Arm Steady)… AND you have Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil at the helm… your show is Black af and lit as ‘Lightning!’
*needle scratches record*
But waaait. Krondon is on TV as the villain?? Doooope! Watch him speak on that and other stuff in this interview.

Nice work done for San Diego Comic Con 2017 a while back. Sure they could have just delivered a trailer. By why not beef it up and give the people SO much more. Like an ‘Arrowverse’ lead-in (with all the DC TV heroes on The CW)… THEN hit ’em with the “Black Lightning” in there!

Black Lightning (First Look Series Trailer)

If you remember the B-rate “Black Vulcan” hero from the old, old Superfriends cartoon that used to come on in, like, the 1970s and 1980s… Don’t worry, this is NOT that. Not much cheese being teased in this DC series trailer. At all! Way to go DC. Looks like you folks are learning what Marvel / Netflix has to teach you about making small screen storytelling. Now, if the TV folks (esp. the producers of The Flash and Arrow) could pass some notes to the DC movie makers. Shot.
In fact, I wil go ahead as say it before you do: This trailer for DC’s newest forthcoming hero series – “Black Lightning” – looks and feels a LOT like some Luke–Cage-meets-Daredevil ‘ish. No shot, just saying.
(Oh, on that shot at DC movies, the first two ‘Superman’ movies were good (RIP Christopher Reeve), Michael Keaton ‘Batman’ vs. Jack Nicholson ‘Joker’ was groundbreaking, and ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy was dope. Respect due. Just that recent ‘Superman vs. Batman’ and ‘Suicide Squad’… at best, on a scale of wack to dope, they score a solid meeeehhh. Solid, but meh).
