Hmmm… so BET was holding out. Lemme see if I can find more from BET Hip-Hop Awards ’19.

Health & Wellness: Apryl Jones Speaks On How She Worked To Grow Her Booty Naturally (Video)
Wooooweeee! And she says she worked her butt off to get that body. Nah, baby. You worked that butt UP and OUT! Very interesting that I was thinking that having buns like that was more a matter of nature (genetics) than nurture (working at it). Turns out that Apryl went to work and got that lovely result.
Apryl Jones describes how she went from skinny to slim thick by working and building a perfectly toned booty.

How Much Do You Know About Soul Food? (Video)
Ohhhh… The series is called ‘Black 2 Life’… like in ‘Back 2 Life’ by Soul II Soul. And this is on soul food. Hope you enjoyed some good traditional New Year’s peas & rice and greens and pork (for those that partake) by the way.
For the record, I disagree with several of these so-called ‘correct’ answers though.

BET’s Punchline Presents The “Creed 2 Cypher” (Video)
Raw uncooked barz! So good to see Bones Brigante still doing his thing. I remember his battles on 106 & Park and the Hip-Hop Awards Cypher back in the day. All the spitters had flame in this.

Did You Watch The 2018 BET Cyphers? Do It Now, And Again, Right Here (Video)
A good look for BET: posting these to YouTube without that forced auto-play turned on. Now you can watch them in turn… enjoy, critique, hate on… whatever you do when you watch. Pretty dope overall. Wasn’t hyped in the weeks building up to them this year. Might be a good thing. The heads will check for the Cyphers. The rest who have to be ‘marketed’ to; we don’t need ’em.

The Story Of How Models Helped Hip-Hop Stars Make Videos That Made Money… Until The Game Changed (Trailer)
VIXEN. Simple, powerful title. Makes sense with coverage of Karrine Steffans (and her book) in this.
Saw this described elsewhere as exploring the ‘Video Vixen Era.’ Never thought of it as an era, but the MODELS (not the rappers or singers) in music videos that caught major buzz before Instagram… yeah, that’s a thing. Should make for some worthwhile watching. That, plus sexy women…
Melyssa Ford, Buffie The Body, Karrine Steffans and more video vixens write themselves back into Hip-Hop history in this BET Original Documentary.

Watch The Full-Length Teaser For “The Bobby Brown Story” (Trailer)
We got a good ‘New Edition’ story out of ’em. We can likely count on this 2-part ‘Bobby Brown’ miniseries event being solid, too. Coming September 4th.

50 Central Needs These Actors To Be A Little More ‘Urban’ At Their Auditions (Video)
So right, but so wrong. Hahaaa!
I will admit to being a little uncomfortable, so I know the actors were when they got the Black card slammed down on them at the audition all of a sudden. Ole girl reeeeally drew it out for effect and let them sweat before letting them in on the joke.
Now, what would happen if you went to an audition & they told you to be ‘more Urban?’

Nipsey Hussle Stays True To Himself, Even If It Means Being ‘Uncomfortable’ (Video)
You get the furthest being authentic…
And that’s that if you ask Nip Hussle. While he kinda went with the temp of the room (e.g. the rest of the guys declaring that your ‘approach’ should fit the circumstances), Nipsey did hold to the ‘no code-switching’ mode. Gotta believe that being Hussle made him a boss. Why would he change his persona for anyone, in any situation? Respect.
The rapper chats with the men of “BET’s Mancave” about being uncomfortable.
