R&B/Soul: Dezaray Dawn – “B-Tween The Lines”
Futuristic soul artist & Atlanta resident Dezaray Dawn’s music often feels like you’re traveling the world without physically moving anywhere. This may have been a subconscious effort in crafting her own sonic DNA since she was born in Germany & has lived in a multitude of cities in the U.S. & around the world before eventually settling here in Atlanta at the age of 16. Her musical roots apparently run even deeper as she is also the cousin of soul singer Anthony David, Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, & Tiny who is the current wife of rap artist T.I. & former singer with the all girl group Xscape. Dezaray’s time as a DJ in a few clubs spinning progressive soul & other influences may have also helped shape her sound as well. Dezaray let loose this joint “B-Tween The Lines” for the fans, but those of you trying to catch up to her talents should peep her Deep EP produced by Marc Mac. The joint “Sail Away” is a joint I’ve had on repeat several times too…
