Studio Session: Alchemist x N.O.R.E (Video)

Some video from NORE’s website 57th Ave showcasing some behind the scenes footage of himself & Alchemist cooking it up in the studio…Mannnnn Alchemist got beats!!! One of my alltime favorite producers…

Freddie Gibbs – Cold Day in Hell (Trailer)

Gangsta Gibbs says his album will come out in July and the features list looks pretty diverse and Alchemist plus Statik Selektah make production appearances. Should be a dope project if you dig gangster rap music. Be on the lookout for the mixtape with Statik Selektah coming this summer also.

Apathy – ‘Check To Check’ (prod by Evidence)

The Connecticut homie Apathy dropped this first single ‘Check To Check’ from his upcoming album ‘Honkey Kong’. That album title is f*ckn’ classic! Hahaaa! First single produced by Evidence too?! Mannnnnnnnn This. Is. A. Banger! Real Life Rap

Producer Spotlight: Alchemist (Video)

Alchemist is one of my all-time favorite producers. I believe he doesn’t get enough credit for his contributions in hip hop & more people may need to take notice. I still believe too many people are still sleeping on his talent. Real hip hop heads already know, but casual rap fans don’t have no freakin’ clue at all. If you asked the average commercial rap radio listener who Alchemist is they’d probably give you a funny look or a fake response. Check out this video that dropped on the web recently from the Soul Assassins as they follow a day in the life of Alchemist.

Statik Selektah – ‘On The Corner’ feat. Freddie Gibbs, Big Twin, Planet Asia, & Tristate (co-produced by Alchemist)

Track from Statik Selektah from his Leftovers EP. This track is crazy! Co-Produced by Alchemist. When two dope producers work together the results can be amazing. This particular track features Freddie Gibbs, Big Twin, Planet Asia, & Tristate.

AraabMUZIK Session with Alchemist (Video)

The two ill producers getting busy in the lab cooking up some new heat.

New Music: Curren$y x Alchemist – ‘Covert Coup’ EP

After leaking a few records on the web, Curren$y x Alchemist finally drop this new Free EP of bangers! Alchemist is one of my favorite producers of all time so I know the production was gonna be on point & Curren$y has a style all his own that I respect. Check out the full tracklist under the hood…..

Reks – ‘Why Cry’ feat. Styles P (prod by Alchemist) [Video]

If you’ve been following my radio show I’ve been playing this banger for the last month on two. Alchemist does his thing on the production & Styles P & Reks deliver lyrically. In case your late this is off of Reks’s new album ‘R.E.K.S.’ (Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme) which is available now on itunes. Why Cry?….it’s a banger!

Mobb Deep x Nas – ‘Dog Sh*t’ (prod by Alchemist)

This has to be the first time Mobb Deep & Nas got together for a track since ’99 I believe! Good to see Nas reached out to Prodigy after his return home from the pen.

Alchemist Speaks About Prodigy’s Lyrical Skills & Mobb Deep Reuniting (Video)

I agree with Alchemist in this interview while he was attending SXSW. I never thought Shyne was that sharp of an emcee BEFORE he went into the pen so there’s no way I could see Prodigy’s lyrical skills deteriorating to ‘Shyne-like’ levels.

Mobb Deep Working Hard Back In The Studio (Video)

After watching this video it does seem kind of wild to see many of Prodigy & Havoc’s original running partners hanging out in the studio while they work on some new music. Alchemist, Big Noyd, Big Twinz, & the rest of the ‘Dun Duns’ have brief cameos in the video providing that support for M.O.B.B.

Reks – ‘Why Cry’ feat. Styles P (prod by Alchemist)

Coming from REKs upcoming album ‘Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme’ due to drop on March 8th featuring production from DJ Premier, Alchemist, Nottz, Hi-Tek, Pete Rock, Statik Selektah & host of other producers. March 8th should be a good day for albums because Raekwon’s ‘Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang’ drops on the same day…..
