Miguel Gives A Mini-Concert To Raise Awareness And Help Poor Working Class Families (Video)

This is what art is for: touching the lives of people where they live. Miguel, doing so sharing his music and a personal backstory to connect, gave a private mini-concert in partnership with the Make Room group (www.MakeRoomUSA.org). About 35 lives will never be the same. People packed into a small home outside Detroit (Michigan, USA), singing, clapping and getting a little chocked up; while Miguel uses his gift and platform as a performing artist to raise awareness of working single parents struggling to keep roofs over their families’ heads.

So far I dig the way the Pittsburgh kid put his remix spin on it as many other rappers are just starting to record & email blast out remakes. One of my favorite songs from Miguel gets another video for “Adorn”. The single was originally featured on his Art Dealer Chic Vol. 1 mixtape & had a relatively short video for it we posted a while back. As the popularity of the ‘Adorn’ single grew, Miguel released an extended version of the song & here’s the new video for it. Look for more on Miguel’s upcoming album “Kaleidoscope Dream” due October 2nd…

After Miguel dropped that very dope “Adorn” record & video we were patiently waiting for his “Art Dealer Chic” EP to arrive, but he kinda surprised even myself in explaining that the EP will be a 3 song EPÂ with volumes 2 & 3 will dropping in March & April. The joints are also FREE EPs. That’s a surprise because as dope as “Adorn” was I’m positive people would have bought that joint. Miguel has really been impressing me with his music. His debut album “All I Want Is You” has some very good album tracks & break out hits like “All I Want Is You”, “Sure Thing”, “Quickie” on it & from the sounds of this new record “Adorn” he’s not stopping with putting out that type of quality. “Adorn” is off of Miguel’s upcoming project, Art Dealer Chic: Vol.1, dropping February 27th.
