So when it comes to classic rap lyrics many involve the artist shouting out their hometown or where they may reside at current time. Â Not always content at just shouting out their city, but many rappers detail clothing stores, restaurants and of course the “Shoe Modeling Spots” (Strip Clubs). Â Jay Shells (Artist/Designer) hailing from New York City has taken his love of rap quotes referencing cities to the next level. Â He is behind the movement known as “Rap Quotes” where he actually creates signs with the lyrics of certain areas and places them exactly where the rapper mentioned. Â He has done this in the cities of New York, LA, Philadelphia, and now he has come to the city I call home….Atlanta. Â He was brought to the city by the founders of A3C festival and in the video shot by Animal New York you catch Jay placing the signs up all over town. Â Jay Shells is coming back to Atlanta in October be and we will definitely talk with him for the site and Beatz & Lyrics Show!
