Angie Martinez Speaks On And Shares Her Lost Interview With 2Pac
Hmm. last time the Interwebs were abuzz with talk of 2Pac and Hot 97 in the same breath was when it was ‘the world’ vs. Funk Flex ranting about the way Pac talked & moved while he was here. Folks pretty much took the view, “Flex, it’s been decades. Let it die.”
But time and again, we see that 2Pac and all things related come up and come back to life (so to speak).

25 Years Later, Ayanna Jackson Speaks On 2Pac And The Sexual Assault Case (Video)
Okay. That’s a nice-looking Honey though. Let’s just get that said already. But we know that Ayanna Jackson, the one who accused 2Pac and his associates of rape in 1993, has a story to tell that touches off emotionally-charged firestorms on all sides of Pac fandom & hate, assault & empowerment… all kinds of stuff.
In this VladTV exclusive clip, Vlad sat down with Ayanna Jackson, a woman who accused 2Pac and his associates of rape in 1993. As a result, 2Pac was convicted of first-degree sexual assault and sentenced to one-and-a-half to four-and-a-half years in prison.
Jackson noted that the interview with Vlad is the first time she went on-camera to discuss the events that took place, ultimately leading up to the incarceration of the rapper. Jackson laid out how old she was when she met the rapper–around 19-years-old, along with the location they connected.
This is Part 1 of Ayanna telling her story to Vlad. Much more after the jump.

Starring Josh Duhamel, Bokeem Woodbine and Jimmi Simpson, and no longer a ‘long-awaited’ or ‘maybe, strong maybe’… They kept snatching the clips down like someone was ‘hedging’ at the network. But okay. This Biggie-Tupac crime drama series is definitely coming to USA.

The Game – “Heaven 4 A Gangsta” (TuPac Tribute)
Tupac was murdered 21 years ago… and we’re still talking UNSOLVED mystery. We just posted on the A&E look into the lives and passing of Pac and Biggie. Think law enforcement is still following up on leads though? Don’t answer. Just don’t.
A nation, the Hip-Hop Nation, still mourns Pac’s loss. But the music lives on; especially when a worthy emcee turns in a tribute. Enter The Game. Hearing this will likely make you REALLY think on it: Is there a “Heaven 4 A Gangsta” (song from the A&E documentary series, “Who Killed Tupac?”)? Gotta be. The Game sent this one up from the booth!

Tyrin Turner Reveals That “Menace II Society” Was An Answer To A Prayer (Video)
How crazy is that? Well not too crazy actually, depending on where you hold the power of spirituality in your life. But according to the clip above, the “Menace II Society” opportunity (to play Caine) came along in time to answer Tyrin Turner’s desperate plea to the Heavens from his front lawn; right as moms was really pressuring him to get a job and live a ‘responsible life’ that he did NOT want to live.
Los Angeles actor Tyrin Turner here speaks to VladTV about the chain of events that led to him landing the role of Caine in “Menace II Society,” and the group of actors and musicians he worked with on the film, among them Jada Pinkett, Too Short, and 2Pac. Pac, Turner says, read for a part in the movie but wasn’t happy with his character. “2Pac came into the reading. We all started rehearsing and in the middle of it 2Pac was like, ‘Man, I can’t get into this character.'” Get the full story above.

Treach Tells The Truth ‘They’ Tried To Hide From Him About His Homie 2Pac’s Assassination (Video)
Holy sh!t. This went exactly NOT as Vlad expected, but exactly the way it needed to. Bet money that the hit count on this episode goes nowhere near a million. Mumble rap and booty shake, yes, multimillion views. The truth in tell-it-like-it-is vids like this, HELL NO! But that ain’t gonna stop me from watching and sharing this Treach (of Naughty By Nature) confessional. You should do the same. I would not mind being wrong on this one!
Treach opened up to VladTV about getting the news that 2Pac was shot in Vegas, which he initially thought wasn’t a big deal. However, as time went on, he couldn’t get through to anyone close to the wounded rapper, and Treach said everyone knew to keep him away from the hospital due to his hot temper.
During the conversation, Treach spoke about how hard it was to record “Mourn You Till I Join You” and his thoughts on 2Pac’s murder being the worst kept secret. Hit the above video to hear what he had to say.

Lord Jamar Asks Why Is Funkmaster Flex Is Dissing 2Pac Now And Not Back Then When He Was Alive (Video)
Remembering… There was a BET interview – back, back in the day – where then Death Row CEO Suge Knight was getting out after a bid and was addressing people who had gotten brave and talked big talk about him while he was locked away. He coldly looked into the lens and said [pretty much], “Be bad enough to say it to my face when I’m in yours.” Well, on any ‘fly talk’ Funk Flex had to say about the late Tupac Shakur, Lord Jamar is making the same point; plainly, not cold but real talk. Right or wrong, why speak ill of 2Pac now that he is gone.
Funk Flex recently made waves in the hip-hop community with his comments about 2Pac, and Lord Jamar is in agreeance with T.I. and others that Flex shouldn’t be talking down on a dead person. Jamar went on to say that he doesn’t understand why Flex is coming out with this now and not when 2Pac was still alive, but he questions whether it had something to do with his money being messed up back in the day.
Later in the clip, Lord Jamar spoke about rumors he heard that 2Pac did shoot himself in Quad Studios the night that he was shot, but it was only because he kept his gun off of safety in case a situation arose. To hear more, watch the above clip.
– DJ Vlad
And it is certainly fair if Flex rebuts that truth is truth, even after one has passed. And there is timing to consider… just watch. Lots to unpack.
(For perspective, check out the Flex and T.I. clips and snips regarding all this after the jump.)

Kevin Powell Speaks On His Relationship With Tupac Shakur, Shares ‘Rikers Island Interview’ Audio From 1995 And More (Video)
Very few people know the turmoil that erupted between 2Pac and the Notorious B.I.G. better than Kevin Powell. A political activist, author, and journalist who first became known as a cast member on the original season of MTV’s The Real World, Powell made perhaps his biggest impact as a senior writer for VIBE magazine in the mid-’90s. It was there that he had the opportunity to chronicle the life and career of Tupac Shakur. He penned three highly acclaimed cover stories about the enigmatic superstar. including one based around an interview conducted when Pac was locked up on Rikers Island.
Mike Tyson Speaks On How He Met Tupac Shakur, Floyd Mayweather, & The ‘Mike Tyson Mysteries’ (Video)
Hahaaa! Iron Mike Tyson got stories for The Whoolywood Shuffle. All that time working on the “Mike Tyson Mysteries” and he just met his comedian co-star a few weeks ago… and he said what about Jenny McCarthy… and did he threaten to f#ck Drake up or…ummmm…?? Wow! Hilarious! But check out how he met Tupac Shakur in the clip above though.
(Interesting view on Floyd, Jr. and attaining legendary status.)
Respect: Buckshot Remembers The Time Tupac Stood Up To Suge Knight For Him & His Crew (Video)
Some things from way back when affect us to this day. Such must be the case of this story Buckshot shared about Tupac standing firm against the wishes of his Death Row label boss Marion ‘Suge’ Knight on behalf of his homie Buckshot and the rest of his crew. If you are an artist, and you swear you have people around that are truly down… think… would they have bucked up (and possibly f#cked up) with the man who held their career in hand?
AND Snoop was already on the plane??? Damn. Salute to the fallen soldier. What a story!
Jackmaster Solomon – “The 2pac Birthday Mix” [6/16/71 – 9/13/96]

Tupac – ‘Watch Ya Mouth’ / NY ’87 (Unreleased)
Here’s a couple of Tupac joints that were previously unreleased where we hear ‘Pac going off on just about everybody. Dr. Dre, Nas, De La Soul, Jeru The Damaja, & just about every artist on the East Coast. It’s interesting to see these particular leaks dropping on the web following accusations that Jimmy Henchmen is alleged to have had something to do with Pac’s being shot in 1994. That whole incident alone changed history in many ways. One thing I found to be really interesting with this ‘Watch Ya Mouth’ joint is Pac says..”Dr. Dre ain’t made a beat in 6 years.” That’s an interesting statement considering there have been many ghost producers who have been revealed under Dr. Dre over the years. We also included the The Dogg Pound diss record ‘NY ’87’ where Tupac is featured along with DJ Quik & Deadly Threat going in on some more east coast artists.

Rare Footage Of Tupac Photoshoot For The ‘Makaveli’ Album (Video)
It seems like everyday there’s some rare footage of Tupac popping up on the web. Check out this newly released footage of Tupac during a photoshoot for his ‘Makaveli’ album. Oddly enough this particular photoshoot seemed kinda suspect to me with the photographer’s assistant moving the jewelry around Pac’s private area in the bathtub. If I was ‘Pac I wouldn’t have agreed to this bathtub shot. Fugazi. But then again who am I to criticize….I’m not a hip hop legend.
