Looks like the Fight everyone has wanted might happen.  Mayweather has challenged Pacquiao to make the fight happen May 2nd 2015. Well since the last time they tried to make this fight happen Pac-Man has lost two fights so some of the luster is gone.  Regardless this would be a blockbuster draw for Pay Per View.  Check out what our friends over at BeatsBoxingMayhem have to say about it!

“We have to make the fight on Showtime pay-per-view because of course Showtime championship boxing is #1,” said Mayweather. “Bob Arum is stopping the fight. We’ve been trying to make the fight for years now… The fans have been fooled because they’ve been listening to one side. Now it’s our time to talk.”

Mayweather has fought on Mexico’s Cinco de Mayo holiday in five of the last seven years, but now faces the prospect of having to move off that date due to fight talks between Canelo Alvarez and Miguel Cotto. Despite rumors of Mayweather facing the winner of Khan-Alexander on Saturday night, Pacquiao is the only fighter that Mayweather could face the trumps the market value of a Canelo-Cotto matchup.

“Let’s make this fight for the people, for the fans. Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao May 2, Cinco de Mayweather,” Mayweather stated.
