Pusha T – “Nosetalgia” feat. Kendrick Lamar (Prod. By Nottz)
We already know that Pusha T is a beast lyrically, but adding Kendrick Lamar to a Nottz produced track is nothing short of greatness for true hip hop heads. This joint right here is a cotdayam banger!! If the Virginia emcee ‘King Push’ has more bangers like “Numbers On The Boards” & this joint right here on his upcoming album then I’m sure it could wind up being a classic. Check for Pusha T’s upcoming album “My Name Is My Name” due October 8th. This joint is ill!
Big Sean Has the Situation With Kendrick Lamar Under ‘Control’ (Video)
To be clear, Big Sean declares he is NOT a ‘hoe azz n!gga’ and that he and Kendrick are cool.
“That’s my dude… He called me… it’s cool that Hip-Hop can do that without it getting all violent… I loved my verse… I think Kendrick was going in, and I think Jay Elect was going in.”
Whether it started as a calculated maneuver, or Big Sean is taking “Control” of the situation that has come about, he could come out of this whole thing looking like the genius who orchestrated the return of legit verses and lyrical battles to modern Hip-Hop.
(Respect to the homie Big Dee on ATL’s The Remix Hip-Hop Show who I first heard on-air with this Big-Sean-Is-A-Genius perspective.)

R&B: Robin Thicke – “Give It 2 U” feat. 2 Chainz x Kendrick Lamar (Video)
Robin Thicke having more fun on the set. This “Give It 2 U” video is on the same vein as that “Blurred Lines” video (which we posted on here) – lotta a sexy (shout out to the Alabama State University Dancing ‘Stingettes’ featured in the video) mixed with a liberal amount of Hip-Hop. 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar rode along on this party track. Respect to director Diane Martel for another great vid: first, “Blurred Lines” and now this one!
Snoop Dogg Provides His Insight on Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Control’ Verse & Comparisons To ’95 Source Awards (Video)
ThisIs50’s Young Jack Thriller caught up with Uncle Snoop while he was in New York & asked him his opinion on Kendrick Lamar’s controversial ‘Control’ verse & to draw any comparisons to his experience during the 1995 Source Awards which allegedly feuled more of the so-called East Coast/West Coast beefs almost 20 years ago. As usual Snoop always keeps it ‘G’ & just like Maino I have to agree with many of things that he said in this interview as well.
Nas Talks Hip-Hop’s Presence In Fashion & Culture and Gives His Response To Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Control’ Verse (Video)
Check out Nas’ response to Kendrick Lamar…
‘My response is “Wow, I love Hip-Hop right now.’
Miss Info, as an adept interviewer, tries to pull more from Nasir on the current “Control” verse controversy. But Nas is appropriately terse. Answers on that topic, and Hip-Hop’s influence and place in fashion and culture, were pointed and polite. You get the feeling that, toward the end of the clip, Nas is more ready to party than to answer more questions. Let’s go, Miss Info!
Jadakiss Speaks On Kendrick Lamar & How Battling Is Good For Hip Hop (Video)
“Following suit ain’t always good… When you build a fan base in this game, they like you for what thy like you for. They don’t want me to be Kendrick or do what Kendrick do; and they don’t want Kendrick to do what they like ‘Kiss for…”
– Jadakiss
Jadakiss with jewels for the masses in his interview with DRIVEN on the STASHED TV channel. Jada’s seen a battle or two, so he can speak with authority on how a battle can be good (actually “therapeutic”) for Hip-Hop as long as it stays lyrical. Wow. Another timely piece from another Don from the Golden Era of Hip-Hop. Probably recorded before the Kendrick “Control” dropped; but truth is truth. Check out more video from this interview below….
Comedy: Hitler Responds To Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Control’ Verse (Video)
The chatter surrounding Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Big Sean’s “Control” record with Jay Electronica has been slowing but the responses are just coming in. Ironically Hitler was the first to vent his frustration with many rapper’s delays in striking back back at the self-proclaimed new King Of NY. Hilarious.
Just Blaze Speaks On The Rampant Overreaction To Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Control’ Verse By Other Artists (Video)
I agree with Just Blaze’s assessment of what Kendrick Lamar was doing with his highly controversial verse on the ‘Control’ record with Big Sean & Jay Electronica. Great emcees are supposed to challenge other emcees to be better but it clearly wasn’t a diss record.
Big Sean feat. Kendrick Lamar x Jay Electronica – “Control”
This is the song that damn near shut the internet down last night & STILL has people talking today. This “Control” joint produced by NO I.D. was supposed to appear on Big Sean’s upcoming “Hall Of Fame” album but it was allegedly pulled due to sample clearance issues. I feel Big Sean & Jay Electronica did a decent job, but it’s extremely clear that Kendrick Lamar bodied this joint something terrible. Just what the game needed.
Could Kendrick Lamar and Erykah Badu Be ‘Making A Connection?’ (Video)
Maybe NY’s Hot 97 radio personality Rosenberg is burying Kendrick Lamar’s career a bit prematurely. But… looking into those eyes of Erykah Badu… holding her hand… maybe other stuff… it can change an emcee. Andre. Common Sense. Just saying. Check the BET performance after the jump and witness the cause of Rosenberg’s lamentations after the jump.

Nitty Scott, MC – “Flower Child” feat. Kendrick Lamar [Video]
Talk about Black Hippy (re: the video treatment for this). Perfect guest Kendrick Lamar comes through to deliver a ‘gunshot gunshot’ on this Nitty Scott, MC single “Flower Child” (produced by Paul Boogie). This is Nitty’s official music video fully funded by a Kickstarter campaign. That’s how you do it: Support Indie Hip-Hop! Respect to those investors. Respect to Kendrick (though notably absent from the visuals) for his contribution. Respect to director Anthony Sylvester, LPZ Media and cinematographer Anthony DeRose.
R&B/Soul: Quadron – “Better Off” feat. Kendrick Lamar

50 Cent Speaks On Kendrick Lamar, The Lyricism Of Nas, VitaminWater, Mayweather, His Debut & More (Video)
50 Cent on HardKnock TV at SxSW (South By South West) talks about the 10 year anniversary of his “Get Rich or Die Tryin” album, the greatness of Kendrick Lamar, the gifted storytelling of Nas, how important it is for artists to ride their own lanes, his friendship with Eminem, his relationship with Floyd Mayweather, Rick Ross, and more. Huff Barili hosts and guides the chat. Check out part 2, 3, & 4 of the interview below….
BornSinner Series: Kendrick Lamar (Video)
Hmmm… looks like curated channels are the way to go now. Jigga with ‘LIFE+TIMES’… Pharrell with ‘IAMOTHER’… and J. Cole is off and running with more content for the JColeMusic channel’s BornSinner Series. The focus of this episode: an introspective piece featuring Kendrick Lamar. Check it out. It’s good.

Kendrick Lamar – “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” (Director’s Cut Video)
Brand new video from the Compton kid Kendrick Lamar for one of my personal favorite songs off of his critically acclaimed “good kid, m.A.A.d city” album. This special director’s cut edition of “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” shot by The Lil Homies & OG Mike Mihail finds comedian Mike Epps making an appearance although the visuals are not entirely submerged within a comedic space artistically. The clip is beautifully cinematic from a visual perspective & does contain a few messages to decipher unless you don’t pay attention or just so happen to blink too soon.
Kendrick Lamar Becomes A High School Principal For A Day (Video)
Kendrick Lamar stops by Mount Pleasant High School to serve as their celebrity principal-for-the-day, as part of the ‘Get Schooled’ program, after students there won The Fall Attendance Challenge!
‘Without education you don’t have anything. My teachers were great positive influences in my life. My middle school English teacher was probably the reason I became a rapper. He used to encourage me to write poetry and would challenge me, which helped me improve my vocabulary and made me enjoy writing.’ – Kendrick Lamar

T.I. – “Memories Back Then” feat. B.O.B. x Kendrick Lamar (Video)
The first time I heard the original version of this song “Memories Back Then” I thought it was just cool, but this beautifully shot video directed by PhillyFlyBoy draws the perfect picture to compliment the stories being told in each one of these emcees voices. The original version of the song was inspired by & had sampled Gotye’s mega-hit record “Somebody That I Used To Know”. This new reworked version for the video still has that initial inspiration but musically the music has been changed without the use of the Gotye sample. Singer Kris Stephens does a good job on the hook of this Kenoe produced track while T.I., B.O.B., & Kendrick Lamar do what they do best with the bars to this song that will appear on the upcoming Hustle Gang mixtape.

R&B: Miguel – “How Many Drinks?” feat. Kendrick Lamar (Video)
Miguel’s new joint “How Many Drinks” off of his Grammy nominated ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ album is one of my favorite tracks off of his project. There weren’t many ways to improve on such a dope song, but adding Compton emcee Kendrick Lamar for the remix & within the new video makes it even more of a massive win. Check out the new video above & in case you missed some of the behind-the-scenes footage during the making of this visually stunning video just peep the link below….
