Politics: Jeff Johnson Leads A Power-Packed Panel Of Pundits In Discussing Today’s Black Agenda And Campaign 2020 (Video)
This feels like what a TV station calling itself REVOLT should be doing with its platform, at least in significant part. Very varied viewpoints from and in the Black community are presented and explored here, which is a good thing. Folks (e.g. we and the people who want our votes) need to understand that we are not a monolith, a block, a sector, a checklist item, etc. for the campaign… nor do we necessarily ‘win’ when ‘our candidate’ (whatever that means) wins.
Go get a snack and a beverage, and come back focused. ‘Bout to be some real talk. Necessary talk!
T.I., Killer Mike, Candace Owens, Steven Pargett Of Trap The Vote, Katrina Pierson, & Tamika D Mallory have an open and honest conversation about politics, and the culture we live in today.
– REVOLT TV
Be forewarned: You will get agitated and frustrated. Hang in there. Especially because there is thoughtful, useful insight shared EVERY TIME we get a chance to hear from Killer Mike. Much respect and respek on the name Michael Render!
The ‘Blaxit’ Movement: Young Black Conservatives Believe President Trump Can Make America Great For Them (Video)
Yeeeesh!
Okay, get past that feeling because this is actually worth watching; at least to get another point of view you might not have considered. It’s like what Killer Mike was saying on his Netflix show (“Trigger Warning”): You need to actually engage people with views that differ from your own.
In October of 2018, hundreds of young conservatives of color met up in Washington, DC, for the first ever Young Black Leadership Summit: a four-day conference that featured speeches from conservative actress Stacey Dash and firebrand Candace Owens, a trip to the White House to hear Trump speak, and a rare chance for young, black Republicans to get together and network IRL.
VICE’s Lee Adams went to the summit to talk firsthand with young, Black conservatives about what drew them to the Republican party, along with what kind of backlash they’ve faced from the black community for going public with their political views. To find out more about the movement, he also tagged along with Antonia Okafor—an outspoken Second Amendment activist—on a hunting trip in northwestern Iowa with Steve King, a House Rep who’s been widely criticized for his racist comments. Lastly, he met up with Shekinah Geist, a Black Republican and budding social media influencer, and sat in on a conversation between her and a group of peers from the local Black student union who challenged her on her support for President Trump.

All this said and shown… this is NOT an endorsement of the GOP or President Trump or the views shared. But it IS an earnest sharing of different point of view (the VICE video and this blog post on it).
Don’t Walk! Run The Jewels… NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert (Video)
Let the E&J and lyrics and booming beats FLOW! RTJ on NPR for an intimate, but no-less-energized [Tiny Desk] Concert with rhyme buddies El-P and Killer Mike. Okay, in case you don’t follow Run The Jewels… have any kids leave the F**KING room NOW! Liquor and lyrics laced with profanity and adult dopeness. Party time! Let’s GO!
Mina Tavakoli | February 6, 2017 — Like any good pair of twins, Run the Jewels have a freaky sort of unspoken fraternity. When El-P and Killer Mike strode in with their usual uniforms — Mike in a gold chain as thick as a garter snake, El in a fitted Yankees cap and pair of blue-mirrored sunglasses — the two didn’t have to do as much as nod to one another before upending three tracks from their latest LP, RTJ3, in strange and perfect symbiosis.
El-P (née El-Producto, née Jaime Meline) — rapper, producer, and all-around godfather of the backpacker scene of the late-90’s — and Killer Mike — known for guest features on tracks by Atlanta’s Dungeon Family in the early-aughts, solo work in the mid-to-late ’00s, and perhaps most widely for his very public support of Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign last year — have out-mused each other in a supergroup that somehow seems to get better, louder, and more pertinent since their start in 2013. They represent an ideal evolution of underground hip-hop to mainstream success, mixing a fundamentally activist animus with IMAX-level production without losing a speck of vital force.
On an unseasonably beautiful day in D.C., Run the Jewels was sweaty and sulfuric, ad-libbing with one another in an exchange so slick, easy, and conspiratorial, it felt like we were in on their shared language.
Run the Jewels 3 is available now!

Hidden Colors 4: “The Religion of White Supremacy” (Trailer)
In America you hear talk about Police Brutality, Racism, and how Economics are used to disparage the Black community. Rarely do we hear talk about the one topic synonymous with all of those which is White Supremacy. Not saying that White people are superior to Blacks but the mind state of White Supremacy gives birth to so many racial issues not just in the US but the world.
Tariq Nasheed has decided to put this topic front and center with his latest installment of his critically acclaimed Hidden Colors series. The documentary series that has had important black voices like Dr Francis Cress Welsing (RIP), Dr. Umar Johnson, Dick Gregory. Also entertainers like Paul Mooney, David Banner, & Nas. Tariq has released the official trailer and you can bet that organizations like Fox News, StormFront ad other race baiting groups will not be happy. I look forward to the Atlanta premier and happy to see that Atlanta Rapper/Activist Killer Mike is part of the fourth installment along with Jim Brown, Dr Boyce Watkins to name a few. So check out the trailer and get ready to go check it out official date not released yet but we will keep you informed here at Jayforce.com

So it seems everybody and they mama has a Podcast these days. Â With technology people get a laptop and a mic and they think they have a radio show. Â He provides a voice to the underground giving them tips on how to make it and navigate in this Hip Hop game. Â He recently invited Beatz & Lyrics co host ArtByOdell to sit down and talk about a myriad of topics. Â The two brothers discuss how artists can get their music on Blogs, Odell explained hw he got his start in radio and what he has going with his personal podcast “Odell’s RoundTable”. Â It’s a great discussion with plenty of great stories like how Odell got a drop from Killer Mike at the request of Mike’s wife Shay. Â Or how Punch (manager at TDE) screened ArtByOdell on the spot before he gave him access to interview the artist SZA. Â Check it out plenty of great information shared in this one!

Dres – “Propagation” (Video)
“You’ll never hear of Black cops that beat and murder white boys.”
– Dres
To even conceptualize a father to son convo as a theme for a video is dope. Videos with family, passing on wisdom and love at the center have no doubt been a part of Hip-Hop’s nobler self; but few with as timely a message to share. Need this. After the sadness and frustration felt when Killer Mike told us he was kicked on his ass and feared for his sons’ lives in the wake of the Ferguson (Missouri, USA) Grand Jury announcement – America’s injustice system at its finest – here is Dres (of Black Sheep) passing on powerful words that his son needs to hear to make his way in this country (world). “Propagation” of positivity – father to son, Dres to you, Hip-Hop to us all.
Thank you, D-R-E-S. This is Hip-Hop.
