If you lean to the left (e.g. are likely to vote Democrat in the coming 2016 U.S. election), you should be gathering information and forming impressions NOW. Because before you know it, you will have a decision to make. Every person who has ever run for office has understood that, in order to win, she or he must be supported and admired (and hated) by the right people. So, if you’re thinking Hilary Clinton’s the one, I hope you are learning who is for and against her. Alternatively, if you are taking a hard look at Bernie Sanders – “feeling the Bern” as it were – then you should take a look at the clip above. We KNOW you love Hip-Hop and the Culture if you come to this site often. But maybe “Politics As Usual” has soured you on voting (or even caring). I hope you read my VOTE DAMMIT! posts on here (whether you lean left or right). But maybe they don’t fire you up. But this vid… this vid right here… Just play it. Watch Killer Kill From Adamsville, and it will GIVE YOU BACK YOUR FIRE and make you care about the fight again. In a most powerful way, his speech above makes it clear: Killer Mike Endorses Bernie Sanders, the next President of the United States!
Now sure, you will make your own decision in that ballot box, but a candidate is known and judged by the company she or he keeps; and the enemies she or he makes. Do your research. Who is in who’s corner? What fights is your candidate picking? I’m not sure I completely #FeelTheBern yet, but the temperature is rising.

Killer Mike is hilarious! Still clever in this clip though. Joined across the table by comediennes Natasha Leggero and ‘The Nightly Show’ regular Robin Thede, the show discussion focused comedic fire on Rachel ‘I still consider myself Black’ Dolezal. Clever conversation with bite, but not vicious. Funny, but they do get to some cultural fine points brought up by the former NAACP official’s Blackishness making front page news. Don’t know if they really nailed down an answer to the “Does Rachel get a pass?” question… Then again, who says that was the point? Watch, enjoy, ponder a bit.

That White House Correspondents’ Dinner we just posted on? Yeah… Killer Mike was there. The man is up on his politics to say the least. He also lectured at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as part of the university’s ‘Hip-Hop Speaker’ Series. Intelligent discourse at one of America’s well-known gatherings of advanced thinkers. Killer Kill has always spoken up (and well) on issues regarding Hip-Hop politics and humanity. Check out the points made (not ‘scored’… it’s not about that) about Ferguson in the aftermath and Grand Jury announcement that no charges would be brought against [now retired] officer Darren Wilson, the man who shot and killed Mike Brown. After a night of engaging in more “righteous ratchetness” with DJ Envy, Mike accepted the invitation to fall through and chat with the crew the next morning during the Power 105 morning show. This conversation rivals the knowledge and passion kicked in Killer Mike’s CNN interview on all matters relating to Ferguson and Mike Brown (posted earlier here).
If you don’t have good common sense, you shouldn’t be a policeman on foot patrol. If you don’t have great common sense, you shouldn’t be a policeman in command. So, is it harder for a policeman? Absolutely. Are you held at a higher standard? Absolutely. Are you the only civil servant with the power of life and death in your hands? Absolutely, and that requires more responsibility.

See? When your music speaks truth, you get called on to speak truth. See how CNN’s Brooke Baldwin even mentioned the “Reagan” video (got that one here)? She knows. Killer Mike should speak on matters like Mike Brown and Ferguson. Father, husband, SON OF A POLICEMAN, concerned member of the human race… Killer Kill From Adamsville has much to say, and man, he said it! The next eleven minutes of your life should be spent watching this video (above) right here, right NOW!
If this police officer is not arrested… rioting… tears… pain… But what really happens… is all of our rights are thrown out the window. I am afraid for all Americans. I’m not just afraid for Black Americans… We as a people have to be more vigilant about policing the people we pay to protect and serve us…
That about it, people. It ain’t just the cops. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? It’s US! WE have to step up! We have to vote in LOCAL officials (sheriffs, councilpersons and alderman, and other officials) and participate in (and/or institute) watch-dogging so cops know that ‘policing’ goes both ways. More than that though, we need to develop solid, respect-driven relationships with police authorities; just as Killer Mike (with his barber shop) has. That does NOT excuse cops abusing their authority, but our steps toward revolution should bear in mind that we seek resolution. And building relationships that deescalate abuse of authority, and build respect and care for the community into the citizen-officer relationship is a necessary part of the resolution.
