In essence, he is letting viewers & fans know that it wasn’t him wanting to leave Boston, it was the Celtics… not doing what it took to keep him there. No beef with nobody on his side, even though some folks apparently reeeeally had HEAT for him for taking his talents to South Beach.
Ray Allen spoke in an exclusive interview with Tencent’s Lisa Hsu about the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Paul Pierce and being a champion. Tencent, ESPN’s partner in China, is hosting its annual Super Penguin Basketball Celebrity Game in Shanghai.

It’s only a six-minute clip but there is a lot in there (including precious seconds of screen time with gorgeous wifey Gabrielle Union). D Wade joining D Rose in Chicago certainly signals the Bulls desire to win rings, but other things ring true in this clip. Concerned about making the most of his remaining time (even referencing his long-gone youth, when he was ‘able to sit Indian style’ and dream about playing for the Bulls), getting the best contract and competitive situation for himself…all that and more…factored into Dwayne Wade’s decision to make that move from Miami. In this final season episode of the show Eddie takes his talents BEYOND the glitzy lights of South Beach & ventures into the neighborhoods for the best restaurants & food tourists overlook when visiting Miami. True to the mission of his show Eddie stays off the beaten path by spending time with the porn industry’s “World Famous” Bang Bros team & adult film star Jada Stevens, enjoys some time with the unofficial Mayor of Miami Uncle Luke, hits Little Haiti to enjoy some authentic Haitian cuisine, & enjoys a Miami Dolphins tailgate. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for Eddie & his producers at VICE to release this Miami edition of the show while the city has been enjoying the success of another Miami Heat NBA Championship run & wins being posted by the nationally ranked University of Miami Hurricanes basketball team. I thoroughly enjoyed this last night as I was rooting for the Miami Heat to keep their historic NBA winning streak alive versus the Boston Celtics. I noticed throughout the game how Boston Celtic’s Jason Terry appeared to be talking trash most of the game but Lebron James’ alley-oop dunk on Jason Terry clearly shifted the momentum of the rest of the game. Lebron’s subtle stare down while Jason Terry was on the ground made this all the more hilarious. #TEAMHEAT

Lebron James: Journey To The Ring (Video)

Lebron James, the greatest basketball player in the NBA today, has probably had the best ever year of his life. King James has won his third NBA league MVP Award, lead his Miami Heat squad to an NBA Championship in which he was also the NBA Finals MVP, & lead the U.S. Men’s Olympic basketball team to Olympic Gold among many other accolades. In fact, Michael Jordan is the only other player to win an N.B.A. championship, N.B.A. most valuable player honors and Olympic gold in the same year. It’s been an outstanding year for a man who I believe is on pace to be the greatest ever to play the game of basketball. Although Lebron James & the Miami Heat are the heavy favorites to win another NBA championship next season, only time will tell as there is still plenty of work to do for the 27-year-old superstar but this “highlight documentary” follows the kid from Akron Ohio’s entire journey to his first ever NBA championship ring. I’m proud to say that I was there. Here’s to more championship rings for the King. Greatness!
