“Queen & Slim” Debuts In Theaters This Coming November (Trailer)

So they’re making “Queen & Slim” out to be the Black “Bonnie & Clyde”… and a dope version at that!
From trailblazing, Emmy-winning writer Lena Waithe (Netflix’s Master of None) and Melina Matsoukas, the visionary director of some of this generation’s most powerful pop-culture experiences, including Beyonce’s “Formation†and the Nike “Equality†campaign, comes Makeready’s unflinching new drama, “Queen & Slim.”
While on a forgettable first date together in Ohio, a Black man (Get Out’s Daniel Kaluuya) and a Black woman (Jodie Turner-Smith, in her first starring feature-film role), are pulled over for a minor traffic infraction. The situation escalates, with sudden and tragic results, when the man kills the police officer in self-defense. Terrified and in fear for their lives, the man, a retail employee, and the woman, a criminal defense lawyer, are forced to go on the run. But the incident is captured on video and goes viral, and the couple unwittingly become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief and pain for people across the country.

Rhythm Roulette With Hit-Boy (Video)

Damn right they start this off with “Racks In The Middle” (produced by Hit Boy) playing. RIP Nipsey Hussle.
When Hit-Boy graced the stage of the legendary Watch The Throne World Tour in 2011, Jay-Z famously announced that Hit, producer of the Throne duo’s classic “N****s In Paris” record, was the only guest artist to do so to that point. It was a hell of an honor, especially for a non-vocalist, which Hit still was at the time.
Since then, the IE Inland Empire native has gone on a massive tear, producing arena-rocking anthems for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Drake, the late, great Nipsey Hussle and more. And he’s done it all without making the same beat twice.
On this Guitar Center edition of ‘Rhythm Roulette,’ Hit-Boy brings that dexterity to the proving grounds.

Another one… from the Mass Appeal Starting 5… specifically, from 070 Phi. This “Good Contracts” visual is for the single off his EP entitled “Outside” (linked below).
The concept behind “Good Contracts” is keeping yourself out of a vulnerable position where somebody can take advantage of you. In the video, one of the characters involved himself with a women that he met Outside and brought her to where he makes his money. His relationship with her was like a bad contract because all she wants to do is take advantage of him and rob him for his money. Metaphorically speaking my character is a good lawyer that helps him out of his situation.
