Dr. Charshee McIntyre Lectures On The History & Science Of Afrikans and Native Americans (Video)
Strength, beauty, honor, AND knowledge! Pay attention as Dr. Charshee McIntyre breaks it down in spite of diagnoses that would have many think she is ‘diseased’… Nah, she is in a constant state ‘dis ease’ (as in, “ill at ease”). Through her lineage, Afrikan and Native American (Cherokee-Choctaw in her instance), she speaks truth to her (read: our) existence and how we have diminished our humanity.
Dr. McIntyre gets deeper in depth in her lecture above. Rep. Maxine Waters popularized ‘reclaiming my time’… Dr. McIntyre implores us all to ‘claim our heritage’ and reclaim OUR humanity!
Yes, OUR humanity – Black, Red, White – all coming out of Africa… all intermingled genetically now. Traced back many, many millennia to The Motherland.
(Oh, and several historical myths are getting blown up in here. Sorry, not sorry, Columbus!)
An Anti-Facist Film’s Message We Need To Hear… Today! (Video)
“When that first minority lost out… everybody lost out.”
At the risk of piling on… Michael Moore said it so right in our post on here: If you are not going to say that what went down in Charlottesville was wrong (not on both sides, Mr. President; the NEO-NAZI side), you are pretty much on the wrong side! Turn it around. Don’t support racists, Neo-whatevers… none of that. Do the right thing: Stand with the right. The right side of the aisle, if you like; but at least be on the right side of HISTORY!
And speaking of history, watch the above clip. And by all means… DON’T BE A SUCKER!

Eco-Friendly Drug Smuggling Submarine Seized By Columbian Authorities (Video)
Wait. Drug runners got submarines? Wait again… eco-friendly, no-emission submarines??? Sure, the objective is to avoid detection while moving that cargo, but still.

Science: How An Astronaut Washes Her Hair In Space (Video)
This is pretty cool. Simple personal hygiene is it’s own challenge in space. And once I got past my silly, “Hey look, she’s going Super Saiyan!” and “PikaaaCHUUUU!” (hahaaa) in-mind commentary, I watched again to see what was going to happen with all that water floating around in there.
Very interesting!

Want Your Own Bulletproof Combat Helmet? British Special Forces Are Checking Them Out Now (Video)
Okay, I am more a Star Trek fan than a Star Wars fanatic. But they had me at “looks like Boba Fett’s helmet.” However, they probably got a few more with the whole now-soldiers’-heads-can-be-bulletproof-too thing. Check it out.
British special forces are testing DEVTAC’s Ronin helmet. It’s being compared to the Boba Fett mask from “Star Wars,” but what this thing can do is crazier than fiction. You can order one from their website.

Travel: Diving The Underwater Thermal Tunnels Of Budapest (Video)
Hmmm… This might be a place I could go and check in for the Jayforce.com Travel Squad. I’d roll with the family. My bro BoneBreaker Jones is a SCUBA enthusiast, and this cave diving stuff would stoke him, to say the least!
As one of Europe’s most famous cities, Budapest has become a tourist hotspot known for its history, its architecture and its love of water. While most people soak above the surface in the city’s famed geothermal baths, below the metropolis lies a secret subterranean world ripe for exploration. The Hungarian capital is home to over 80 geothermal springs. As this naturally heated water flowed deep below the Earth’s surface, it carved out hundreds of caves, making Budapest home to the largest collection of thermal caves in the world. Though divers have charted more than four miles of tunnels since the 1950s, much remains to be explored.
– Great Big Story
Full disclosure: If we go, I’m staying topside in those thermally-warmed pools. Maybe hunt for some Hungarian Honeys. Nice!

American Experience: Last Days in Vietnam (Documentary Trailer)
Documentarian Rory Kennedy gives us an in-depth look at the final days of the American presence in Saigon. It’s a story where simply following orders would play opposite to doing the right thing. And what do you think heroes do? Could those soldiers and support personnel have lived with themselves getting out safely while leaving South Vietnamese in harm’s way? Even if ordered to do so?
In April of 1975, the North Vietnamese Army was closing in on Saigon as South Vietnamese resistance was crumbling. Approximately 5,000 Americans remained with roughly 24 hours to get out. Their South Vietnamese allies, co-workers, and friends faced certain imprisonment and possible death if they remained behind. With no official evacuation plan in place, the clock ticking, and the city under fire, a number of heroic Americans took matters into their own hands, engaging in unsanctioned and often makeshift operations in a desperate effort to save as many people as possible. In those last days in Vietnam, 135,000 men, women and children managed to escape.

Ken Burns Covers ‘The War’ In This PBS Documentary (Mini-Series Trailer)
We posted a World War I era documentary days ago, got several recent Ken Burns documentary posts – one about the Civil War. But how about Burns taking us to and through World War II? Yep, got that for you. Well, Netflix does. But we have the trailer embedded above.
THE WAR, a seven-part series directed and produced by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, tells the story of the Second World War through the personal accounts of a handful of men and women from four quintessentially American towns. The series explores the most intimate human dimensions of the greatest cataclysm in history – a worldwide catastrophe that touched the lives of every family on every street in every town in America – and demonstrates that in extraordinary times, there are no ordinary lives.

Jenna’s Tiny Home Is Just Right (Video)
Wow. See the van out parked behind the Tiny Home? Looks like it’s about a third of the size of the Home. Talk about a cozy LITTLE cottage!
Jenna built her Tiny Home with her Partner and they traveled in it for a year from Alaska to Florida. They ended their partnership. Jenna parked the Tiny House in Oregon.

Now, this looks like a perfect option for folks who really want to downsize in every way… and who are NOT claustrophobic.

Learn About A Pivotal Gallipoli Campaign Of World War I (Documentary Trailer)
Netflix is the place to experience history. Not all the way sure of what draws me to war epics and documentaries, but this trailer is making me think it is time for me to catch another. Want to learn more about Gallipoli, too? Got the Netlfix link at the end.
An epic reconstruction of the battle that changed nations forever: a film of spectacular visual sweep and great emotional power.
It all began as a demonstration of strength against the Ottoman Empire by Great Britain and her allies. It became one of the largest landing operations in history and one of the bloodiest and most controversial battles of the First World War. The campaign affected Turkey, Australia and New Zealand profoundly.

Documentary On Jay-Z & Kanye’s Real Life ‘Idols Become Rivals’ Story (Trailer)
Not a stretch for a story to cover, but still… this will likely have more than a few ‘wow’ revelations and angles in it. Documentary “Public Enemies: Jay-Z vs. Kanye” debuts this coming Monday at 10pm on Britain’s Channel 4.
The Titanic’s Final Mystery: What Really Caused The Unsinkable Ship To Sink? (Documentary Trailer)
Somewhere between that ‘not even God could sink this ship’ braggadocious blasphemy and somebody drunk or sleep on post… that’s my guess for what tore up the Titanic. I mean, come on maaaan, icebergs are big af and pretty slow, right? Cannot sell me on that it-came-outta-nowhere guff!
Get a sneak peek of the new scientific evidence that will blow apart the myths and forever change the way you look at the Titanic tragedy.

Another great documentary you can find on Netflix and the Smithsonian Channel, of course.

Centuries Ago, A “Witch Hunt” Was Not A Metaphor. It Was State-Sanctioned Murder (Documentary Trailer)
For all the things we can say about living in society today… at LEAST “witchcraft” is no longer a crime (and look above to see why the quote marks were necessary; lots of room for interpretation in those ‘laws’ that can get someone f*ck*d UP)! Of course, there is still enough frivolous prosecution and unfair persecution today to go around twice.
Historian Suzannah Lipscomb investigates the witch hunts that plagued Britain in the 17th century, examining common myths about their origin.

Recreating The Golden Raft of El Dorado (Documentary Segment)
Nice one, Smithsonian Channel. And here I thought El Dorado was just a wack azz character on Superfriends from the 1980s. But naaah son, the Golden City must have been something to see. However, since that is not possible (because, ‘LOST City Of Gold’)… we gain insight from observing how a relic believed to be from there was most likely crafted.
It’s not just the golden raft’s ties to the legend of El Dorado that make it impressive. The complicated method that was used to craft it reveals the advanced techniques of the Muisca people.

Columbian history, world history, ready for you to view above. This is but a portion of “Secrets: Golden Raft Of El Dorado” – the full-length documentary available now at The Smithsonian Channel (linked here and after the jump).

Were There Really “Samurai Headhunters?” (Researchers Say Yes) [Documentary Trailer]
Knights of the Far East, we see the Samurai as honorable protectors of their traditions, their ordained rulers, and the people of Japan. But… that’s how we SEE them. Now let’s look at the whole TRUTH; at least an alternative powerfully put forth by this documentary – “Samurai Headhunters.”
Noble swordsman? Ruthless head collector? The Samurai were both. The drama documentary charting the unknown, dark side of these ancient Japanese warriors by recreating the life of a young farmer forced into their army. Since their first appearance in the 8th century, Japan’s famous elite warriors are celebrated for their courage, formidable fighting techniques and above all, their code of honour. But do these Far Eastern knights really measure up to their heroic image? Now, for the first time, we reveal the unknown dark side of the Samurai – a fascinating tale of forbidden love, extreme cruelty, and treachery.

Travel & Culture: Carmen Goes To Cuba (Video)
Hahaaa! Rrrrricoooo Suaaave. Where on Earth is Carmen, you ask? Well, we can tell you she was in Cuba recently. She checks in for the JAYFORCE.COM Travel & Culture Squad with this exclusive report.
As the saying goes, “It’s the simple things in life that can bring you the most joy.” That is how I sum up my experience traveling to Cuba.
It felt like I traveled back in time. No Wi-Fi nor ATMs. My first venture through Havana, I glanced out the window and was in awe of all the colorful old buildings and classic cars.
Throughout the time I was there, I mostly walked around Havana. I saw children playing outside and people sitting around talking with one another without their eyes being glued to their phone. The streets were serenaded by musicians on the corners. The city itself is a museum to explore.

Okay, that’s the preamble. Now for the pics and clips… hit the jump!
“Warrior Women” Who Made History (Docu-Series Trailer)
Hmm. Forgot how cute Lucy Lawless is in real life (that is, off the TV set). Here she is in a teaser clip for Acorn TV’s “Warrior Women” series, narrating the stories of the likes of Joan of Arc (featured above), Grace O’Malley, Boudica, Lozen and Mulan… Yeah, but this ain’t no Disney movie.
Brought to the screen by television’s most famous woman warrior, Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess), this series brings to life history’s most charismatic women warriors. Shot on location in France, Ireland, Britain, China, and New Mexico, the stories are a heady mix of historical sleuthing and provocative reconstruction.

Cracking “The Pyramid Code” Might Show That The Builders Of The Pyramids Had Technology Way Ahead Of… Our Time (Series Trailer)
Think we are more ‘advanced’ than those who came before us? Your first answer is, “Of course!” But are you really that sure? Advice: Don’t be so sure about how sure you are. More advice: Watch The Pyramid Code and see why should be a bit less sure about our timeline and modern technological superiority…
The Pyramid Code is a made-for-television documentary series of 5 episodes that explores the pyramid fields and ancient temples in Egypt, as well as ancient megalithic sites around the world, looking for clues to matriarchal consciousness, ancient knowledge, and sophisticated technology in a Golden Age.
Think for a second: Countless stones go into building a pyramid; each weighing, what, about a couple tons? You think a bunch of whip crackers, slaves and pullies got all that done back then? You sure?
Mars: To Boldly Go Where No Human Has Gone Before, Space X Will Need To Get A Lander Up And The Cost Of Relocating To Mars Down (Video)
Wow, so SpaceX is launching its manned Mars lander in 2020? Wow. The goal of ‘making humans a multi-planetary species’ seems kind of far out, and that is the point. Mars is the next planet over, sure, but it ain’t just “next door.” It is far out there.
SpaceX Founder, CEO, and Lead Designer Elon Musk will discuss the long-term technical challenges that need to be solved to support the creation of a permanent, self-sustaining human presence on Mars. The technical presentation will focus on potential architectures for sustaining humans on the Red Planet that industry, government and the scientific community can collaborate on in the years ahead.
– SpaceX
Interesting. Musk is the first big wig in space matters to address why we are trying to just go back to the moon… It is not a good candidate for terraforming (e.g. we cannot make an Earth-like planet of it). Watch the presentation above and read a bit more below.
Dr. Umar Johnson Speaks On Racism & Economics Holding Back Black People Worldwide And More (Video)
Wow! China is not treating Brothers and Sisters well. Let’s start there Dr. Johnson. And Angela Yee’s dad is of Chinese descent. Wowwww. Check out Dr. Umar Johnson speaking on folks getting over on Black people across the globe and more above.
But before you go blaming it all on ‘them’… keep watching, because we have and can play a part in our condition. We have to stop looking to ‘outside investment’ or President Trump (or Obama) or anyone other than us to lift us up!
