The Untold Story Of Emmett Louis Till (Trailer)

Of course, since Black History is truly World History, every month should allow for some study of Black History. Here in the United States, however, we have designated the month of February as Black History month each year.

(Check out the KRS-ONE lecture posted on here for why February was chosen. Powerful!)

Before Black History month is over, you should take every opportunity remember African Americans’ contributions and accomplishments, triumphs and troubles, success and sacrifices. Sacrifices… far too many Black people have made the ultimate sacrifice, losing lives at the hands of vile violent racists. The trailer above is for “The Untold Story Of Emmett Louis Till,” whose long-unpunished race-motivated murder has been acknowledged as the spark that lit the fire known as the American Civil Rights movement. Such a tragic story; but one we must NEVER forget!

Watch above.

The BlackBoard (Teaser Trailer)

Wait, wait! Don’t click off like this is some schoolwork on a weekend. School’s out, but class… that’s always in. Remember that. But this is a chance to learn something. It’s a doc vid on Black skateboarders. Ahhh, right? Now, you see the whole title: “The BlackBoard.”

“The Blackboard” documentary film was produced and directed by attorney/indie filmmaker Marquis Bradshaw. The film aims to challenge what it means to be Black in America by examining the issue of acceptance within the Black community through the lens of skateboarding culture. “The Blackboard” stars prominent Black pro skaters Jabari Pendleton, Karl Watson, and Ron Allen (one of the first Black pro skaters and one of the first skaters to ever receive major corporate sponsorship). As it relates to pop culture, skateboarding among Black people has only in recent years become socially acceptable, beginning with artists such as Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams.

Bastille Day (International Trailer)

Consider this a too Black, too strong ‘F#CK YOU’ to the Bond movie machinery that said ‘hell no’ to Idris Elba when he was up for the leading man role. We’ve been knowing dude could deliver big time super agent action. Ain’t the movie biz funny though? Instead of letting Brit Elba do a Brit fiction, we get him as a CIA operative (read: American) in France on a mission in “Bastille Day.”

Wow.

The Black Panthers: Vanguard of The Revolution (Trailer)

Depending on where you are on the social-political-cultural-racial spectrum, viewing this will make you feel engaged, enlightened, enraged, sad and frightened. Actually, you will feel all those things no matter who you are watching this. It’s just a matter of who you’ll feel them about and in what order you’ll experience the emotions. What could the trailer above be teasing that is that powerful?

New film by acclaimed documentarian Stanley Nelson about the rise and fall of the Black Panther Party.

That’s right. Not the “Captain America: Civil War” character… These revolutionary men and women were way stronger. Too Black, too strong; which is why the government brought its full weight against them. There’s your damn (un)Civil War. Check out the trailer for “The Black Panthers: Vanguard of The Revolution” (coming soon).

Miles Ahead (Trailer)

Nah…just woke up Black…knew how to play…
Miles Davis

Wow! Everything you heard, and thought you knew, about Miles Davis the jazz (sorry, ‘social music’) great and then some. We have been posting and salivating about this project on here. Now here’s the theatrical trailer. Go, Don Cheadle. GO!

“Miles Ahead” is a wildly entertaining and moving exploration of one of 20th century music’s creative geniuses, Miles Davis, featuring a career defining performance by Oscar nominee Don Cheadle in the title role. Working from a script he co-wrote with Steven Baigelman, Cheadle’s bravura directorial debut is not a conventional bio-pic but rather a unique, no-holds barred portrait of a singular artist in crisis.

Hidden Colors 4: “The Religion of White Supremacy” (Trailer)

In America you hear talk about Police Brutality, Racism, and how Economics are used to disparage the Black community.  Rarely do we hear talk about the one topic synonymous with all of those which is White Supremacy.  Not saying that White people are superior to Blacks but the mind state of White Supremacy gives birth to so many racial issues not just in the US but the world.

Tariq Nasheed has decided to put this topic front and center with his latest installment of his critically acclaimed Hidden Colors series.  The documentary series that has had important black voices like Dr Francis Cress Welsing (RIP), Dr. Umar Johnson, Dick Gregory.  Also entertainers like Paul Mooney, David Banner, & Nas.  Tariq has released the official trailer and you can bet that organizations like Fox News, StormFront ad other race baiting groups will not be happy.  I look forward to the Atlanta premier and happy to see that Atlanta Rapper/Activist Killer Mike is part of the fourth installment along with Jim Brown, Dr Boyce Watkins to name a few.  So check out the trailer and get ready to go check it out official date not released yet but we will keep you informed here at Jayforce.com

Drone Racing: The Sport Of The Future (Trailer)

So. What if – instead of newscasts, tech journal features, and hobbyist videos – we had some real action fun with drones? Showed folks getting down right professional with their high-flying high-tech fun, with the competitive edge of the fastest race car and baddest battle bot folks. Out to win… How would that be? It’d be DRL.

DRL is the first professional race series for FPV drone racing. The Drone Racing League brings the world’s best pilots together to fly the “DRL Racer 2” quadcopters head-to-head through new exciting neon-lit race courses. Drone Racing is the sport of the future, and you can find all of the full races, crashes, and competition on http://www.thedroneracingleague.com.

The DRL’s first race is set to hit YouTube in February. Here is the League channel.

Hell Train: A Gasface Gangsta Fairytale (Video)

Score! Got the trailer above and ALL seven parts of the “Hell Train” series after the jump. Bodega BAMZ brought us all kinds of gritty (with “Shook Ones” as the intro soundtrack choice, what else could it be?) with this one. It’s like a docu-drama on steroids…looking to score cocaine.

(Props to ARTE Creative for putting all the eps in one place.)

Suicide Squad (Official Trailer)

We’re bad guys. It’s what we do!

DC is officially going at theater screens harder than ever. Proof positive of that above with this second trailer dropped for “Suicide Squad” (the one we posted from Comic Con was the first look; and this is the Official one). You gotta watch the whole thing… which won’t be a problem, because “Bohemian Rhapsody” music will hold you captive all the way through the crazy guitar break (when, of course, sh!t in the clip goes CRAZY, too)! This is going to be the sickest bestest anti-hero comic hero movie… maybe ever. Wow.

(Will Smith as Deadshot. Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn…work that ‘bat’ girl. And Jared Leto doing Joker incredibly. Yeah, get the tickets August 5, 2016!)

11.22.63 (Hulu Original Series Teaser)

YOOOOO! This is going to be some absolute insanity on Hulu… and I mean that in the best way!

“11.22.63” is a thriller in which high school English teacher Jake Epping (James Franco) travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy — but his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed. The eight-part event series based upon the New York Times best-selling 2011 novel written by Stephen King premieres Presidents Day, Feb. 15, 2016, on Hulu.

Watch the trailer… and um… hit me up if you have ‘notes’ on how to do a Hulu and chill. Because I’m gonna be watching this several times (first alone, then with company).

The Get Down (Netflix Teaser)

Looks funky, fresh and dope. Old school before Hip-Hop had an old school. This should be a great look for Netflix subscribers.

Told through the lives and music of a ragtag crew of South Bronx teens, The Get Down is a mythic saga of the transformation of 1970s New York City.

Yep, Baz Luhrmann and this coming project just ensured that there will be more #NetflixAndChill sessions coming later this year.

A-F-R-O Is “Hip-Hop’s Raider of the Lost Art” (Mini-Documentary)

You hear that??? Dude said he wants to “Save someone’s LIFE through the music!

Now, we hold up Joey Bada$$, Cole, Kendrick, A$AP Rocky, Chris Rivers, and several others as the embodiment of the modern “real emcee” archetype for the 21st century. But wait. Let me add another to your list: A-F-R-O (born James Gutierrez). Watch his compelling story and point of view in the above documentary vignette on the young emcee; entitled “Hip-Hop’s Raider of the Lost Art.”

Bonus: A-F-R-O has acting chops, too. Tonight, you can see him flex those muscles in “The Breaks” – a VH1 original production. Peep the trailer after the jump.

X-Men: Apocalypse (Trailer)

If you’ve kept up with the Marvel over the years then you’d probably come to the same conclusion as I have that the actor Oscar Isaac portraying the villain “Apocalypse” doesn’t, by all appearances, seem like the proper person for the role. However the actress Alexandra Shipp who will play “Storm” in the film does appear to look the part.  Just my two cents.  We all know the keys to make the film successful is the acting, direction, & the script. We’ll see this summer.  I’m looking forward to Memorial Day weekend when X-Men: Apocalypse is in theaters on May 27th, 2016.

“Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”
