The Magnificent Seven (Trailer #2)
Only a couple of months away from a magnificent reboot of an action western classic – “The Magnificent Seven”, starring Denzel Washington. Surrounded by a stellar cast loaded with Hollywood notables, expect some dope quotables and some incredible movie moments. How can we be so sure? Well, there’s this latest trailer for the movie… JAM-PACKED with that red meat rock ’em sock ’em shock ’em (pow, stab, kaboom… you know) you didn’t even know you were waiting for.
Oh yeah. Gonna be a dope September at the theater!
The Hurt Business (Documentary Trailer)
From the producers of Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11 and Generation Iron, THE HURT BUSINESS details the lives of various martial arts superstars, including Ronda Rousey and Jon Jones, competing in the fastest growing sport in the world and the struggles and triumphs that accompany all careers in cage fighting.
Besides featuring both legends, such as Georges St-Pierre, and up-and-comers in the sport the film covers the history of mixed martial arts fighting, from the coliseums of ancient Greece to modern day venues such as the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, all expertly narrated by Kevin Costner.
Themes of injury both mental and physical are explored and the question is raised; is it worth it to sacrifice one’s mind and body for sport?

Loving (Trailer)
Wow. This looks like one of those incredible movies with heart that could get missed because there is not enough rockem-sockem or scandal in it. But we came across this trailer, and not letting you know about it would be a crime… like Black and White folks getting married back in the day. Yeah… not that long ago. Stay woke.
Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple, are sentenced to prison in Virginia in 1958 for getting married.
– New Trailer Buzz
Beautiful story. Plus Michael Shannon has been delivering the goods since HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. Comedian Nick Kroll should really get a chance to stretch his dramatic acting chops in this one. And Mildred Loving should be a breakout role for Ruth Negga (Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., AMC Original Series: Preacher).
Suicide Squad (Final Trailer)
Okay.
So we have had a Blitz Trailer, International Trailer, Official Trailer, and we started with a mf’n Comic-Con Trailer for “Suicide Squad”… Message to DC movie-making powers that be… This better live up to the hype. Two years of “Superman v. Batman” build-up and many thought the movie was meh at best.
Wait ’til “Suicide Squad” though. That’s what we’re all thinking. And we are hoping it will be worth the wait. One final trailer. Come on August!
As I Am: The Life + Times of DJ AM (Documentary Trailer)
DJ AM, aka Adam Goldstein, was born in Philadelphia (PA, USA) but belonged to the world. A tragic loss of life and light way too soon, Showtime is debuting the telling his story tonight (9pm EST) in the documentary film “As I Am: The Life and Times of DJ AM.” A story to watch as soon as it comes out; told to reveal a deeper truth, with respect, and oftentimes in AM’s own voice.
Wow.
Blood Father (Trailer)
This could be Mel Gibson’s ticket back into the Hollywood elite. Watching this trailer…whew! In case you forgot what Gibson can do in the frame of an action movie, watch the trailer for “Blood Father” (due out late Summer). In this movie, biological did bother… a few years late… but damn if he doesn’t have his daughter’s back AND front!
Imperium (Trailer)
You see Daniel Radcliffe. You see Toni Collette. But this is no fantasy epic. No comedy. And yes, it’s a movie; but in America today, it’s not all fiction. Great trailer. Good bet for a great film experience.
Nate Foster (Daniel Radcliffe), a young, idealistic FBI agent, goes undercover to take down a radical right-wing terrorist group. The bright up-and-coming analyst must confront the challenge of sticking to a new identity while maintaining his real principles as he navigates the dangerous underworld of white supremacy. Inspired by real events, IMPERIUM stars Daniel Radcliffe, Toni Collette, Tracy Letts, with Nestor Carbonell, Burn Gorman and Sam Trammell and will be released by Lionsgate Premiere in theaters and On Demand August 19.

Sully (Trailer)
Surprised it took this long to make a Captain “Sully” saves-the-day movie, but it’s [finally] coming. And it’s a Tom Hanks film. Count on it to be a blockbuster; lock for some Academy awards.
The story of Chesley Sullenberger, who became a hero after gliding his plane along the water in the Hudson River, saving all of his 155 passengers.

Check this out on Spike TV tonight (7 P.M. EST) before you head out. Should be good viewing.

The Birth Of A Nation (Official Trailer)
Okay, get ready for the why-can’t-you-just-let-it-go rhetoric… OR… the quiet silence/avoidance of some folks who are not ready to ‘read’ the pages left out of the history books. Regardless of how ‘they’ feel, Nate Parker is bringing it RAW to the big screen. We posted a teaser trailer earlier, but this is the full official trailer for this must-see Nat Turner story set to hit theaters in August – “The Birth Of A Nation.” Who’s ready??
REBEL!!!!
#StandWithUs
(You know, they mentioned Nat Turner’s Revolt in the “Roots” reboot that aired on The History Channel a few weeks back. This movie is going to show what had ‘massa’ and his kin jumping like they were.)
Suicide Squad (Blitz Trailer)
Oh yeah. It’s about time to end all the talk. Time-time-time for some action – “Suicide Squad” style! The latest tease from the WB Studios is called a Blitz Trailer. Whatever. Hurry up August 5, 2016.
Brotherhood (Explicit Trailer)
Daaaamn! This “Brotherhood” being an explicit trailer; it definitely earned the extra tag. Vilest violence (mixed in with mayhem and sex). The movie hits theaters August 29, 2016; ending a long hot summer and a wild movie trilogy. Noel Clarke stars and directs.
A decade on from the events in “Adulthood,” and Sam Peel (Noel Clarke) has grown up, in a stable relationship with his lawyer girlfriend Kayla (Shanika Warren-Markland), and raise their child together, seeking a peaceful existence far away from the former’s disruptive background. But having made a lot of enemies down the years who still hold a grudge against him, it’s just a matter of time before Sam’s past comes back to haunt him. Wanting nothing to do with this particular lifestyle, when his family is threatened, Sam knows that it’s time to put an end to this ongoing conflict once and for all. #TheEnd

All Eyez on Me (Trailer)
Above: Trailer for the Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez On Me.” Tupac will be played by Demetrius Shipp, Jr. The film will also have the dude that played Biggie in “Notorious” (Jamal Woolard) playing B.I.G. in this film as well.
Vick (Documentary Trailer)
The teaser is powerful. Those that followed Michael from college through the pros certainly know that there is a story to break down. And if what the trailer promises holds… well… in the voice/words of Robin Harris’ character in “Do The Right Thing”… LET IT BE BROKE!
Michael Vick has been through it all.
The dual-threat playmaker was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2001 NFL draft, set numerous quarterback rushing records, made four Pro Bowls and amassed a fortune playing football.
Then it all disappeared. A dog-fighting scandal sent him from the gridiron to prison.
– Bleacher Report
Hope the Bleacher Report documentary does the right thing. We’ll see in July.
Kicks (Trailer)
“Kicks” earned honors at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, and this trailer more than lets us know why. Justin Tipping directs this story of a 15-year-old teen that felt ostracized until he got some cool kicks – Jordans. Then, just as he was finally feeling cool, he gets thrown a beating and the shoes get taken.
Damn.
Then the teen and his friends (one of whom is Biggie’s son) spend the rest of the time trying to get the sneaks back. Director Tipping lifted the themes for this incredible coming-of-age film from his own teen years.
Ballers (Season 2 Trailer)
Everything about this trailer screams NEXT LEVEL! Dwayne Johnson, Rob Corddry, John David (Denzel Washington’s son)… the rest of the team… the off-field antics… the Honeyz and the HONEYZ! Wow, and o-m-g if that ain’t Trina’s sexy azz in there, she’s a hella good candidate for The Baddest Chick title!
Feast your eyes. Get ready for a hot Summer. “Ballers” comes back to HBO for Season 2 this July.
