The Latest “Black Panther” Teaser Features Epic Effects And Dialogue (Trailer)
Hahaaa! Yes! Brothers caught a full on nerdgasm from the release (pause) of the latest action-drama packed “Black Panther” movie trailer. See one such reaction and review after the jump.
Looking good Marvel Universe. Looking good!
Ransom? Nah, Son! Kidnappers Try To Run From Halle Berry In “Kidnap” (Trailer)
You took the wrong kid!
YES! This looks like a lot of good buttery popcorn munching. Halle Berry going ‘mad mommy mode’ on some kidnappers that she is about to make PAY for taking her baby! Mad like ‘angry’ AND mad like ‘crazy’ at the same damn time!
Full disclosure: I see that the folks who brought us that screen trash they call “Transformers” are involved. So this could be a bunch of hollering and crashes and boom-boom-pow with no substance or discernable storyline. PLEASE let this be a movie with some heart that drives the drama – more “Armageddon” than “Ah, look at Megan Fox run, bounce and scream soooo sexy.”
(Because, no diss to ‘bouncy sexy women’ depending on that to ‘make’ the movie is turribull… it’s just turribull #BarkleyVoice)

Steven Soderberg Is Betting That His “Logan Lucky” Movie Ends The Summer With A Bang (Trailer)
I know everything there is to know about computers. All the Twitters. I know ’em.
Hahaaa! Now that’s funny! “Logan Lucky” is about brothers – played by Channing Tatum and Adam Driver – planning a robbery at the Coca-Cola 600 race with their sister (played by Riley Keough)… and an explosives expert (Joe Bang, played by Daniel Craig)… who they have to break out of jail.
This flick looks to be built on the classic Steven Soderbergh combo of team heist and team comedy (‘timing’ being key to both, right). Check out the trailer for “Logan Lucky” – due out in theaters this August.
(Oh, Soderbergh is the dude who brought us Ocean’s Eleven (redux), Twelve and Thirteen. So he knows a thing or 13 about funny heist movies.)
Dr. Dre Says Hearing Snoop Dogg For The First Time Made Him Want To Do A Solo Album (Video)
Okay, so if there is any nod to Snoop’s importance to Hip-Hop history… Dr. Dre got the idea to do a solo album after hearing the Dogg snap on a track. Boom! More real talk like this on “The Defiant Ones” – coming to HBO this July.
Ryan Reynolds Tries To Keep Assassin Samuel L. Jackson From Being Killed In “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” (Video)
When things get hard, bring protection.👊🏼@VancityReynolds & @SamuelLJackson team up in The #HitmansBodyguard NEW trailer – In theaters 8/18! pic.twitter.com/DA36wPEzDF

Hitting you upside the head with another trailer for a movie that looks like it is going to deliver all the thrilling action crazy of ‘Snakes On A Plane’ and the violent comedy bang-bang of ‘Deadpool’… Yeeeep, Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are gonna clear that high bar with no problem in “The Hitman’s Bodyguard.” Very little chance that this trailer is a front for a funny dud, as these two can be counted on to deliver the goods. Gonna be fun to see them doing Marvel movie type stuff in different wardrobes and roles (ha!).

Keegan-Michael Key And Cobie Smulders Are “Friends From College” Trying to Get Each Other Through Mid-Life (Trailer)
Bwaaaahahaaa! It’s like you turn Key & Peele loose, off the censored Comedy Central airwaves and onto the big screen… and they LOSE THEIR MINDS in the best ways. The stuff Keegan-Michael Key says and does brings forth a hilarity that borders on the edge of insanity (like what Keegan would give to get the drug store dude to open back up at the end of the trailer above). Check out the teaser for this Netflix series above.
Friends From College is a new Netflix Original Series from Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco. The husband and wife team serve as executive producers and writers on the series and Stoller directs all eight episodes. The eight-episode series features an all star cast including Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Fred Savage, and Jae Suh Park.
The show centers on a group of friends who went to Harvard together and are now facing down their forties and experiencing a range of success, or lack thereof, both professionally and domestically. With interwoven and oftentimes complicated relationships with one another, the series is a comedic exploration of old friendships, former romantic entanglements and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past.

New Animated Lego Video Game Features Many Marvel Universe Heroes Battling Kang The Conqueror Across Time (Trailer)
Ohhhhh! This is a trailer for a video game? I thought it was teasing some kind of epic movie – like how they did the Lego Batman joints. Maybe they will make a Marvel mashup movie down the road. At least we get this dope trailer. Game’s probably fun, too.
Go head-to-head with the time-traveling Kang The Conqueror in an epic battle across Chronopolis, from Ancient Egypt and The Old West to Sakaar and New York City in 2099. Along the way, gamers will be able to take control of a host of iconic characters, from Cowboy Captain America from the past to Spider-Man 2099 from the future along with Thor, Hulk, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Green Goblin, and dozens of other Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains.

Tony Stark Makes A ‘Few Improvements’ To Peter’s Spidey Suit And Web Shooters Just In Time For “Homecoming” (Trailer)
Check out the newest trailer for @SpiderManMovie! It releases in theaters July 7th. #MadeInGeorgia pic.twitter.com/xn0Ob7w69q
— Everything Georgia (@GAFollowers) May 24, 2017
EPIC trailer for what ought to be an epic movie. Bet money that Michael Keaton is gonna be a smash as The Vulture in Spiderman: Homecoming. That said, Tom Holland (Peter Parker, Spiderman) is definitely the star. And he has two of the best parts of the trailer above. First of all, web grenade (dope!)… and second…
I stole his shield… Then he beat me up.
Watch the trailer above. Hurry up July 7th!
Eminem Speaks On Dr. Dre x Jimmy Iovine As ‘The Defiant Ones’ (Trailer)
Getting closer to the July 9th release of this one on HBO. You saw Em on “The Defiant Ones” trailer, so you’d expect him to figure prominently in the film; but what he has to say (here) might surprise you (dope line about the ‘levitator’ and the ‘innovator’). Watch him and others weigh in in poignant, as well as playful snips in the above teaser trailer.
And hey look… some cool content on the project’s Instagram (here).
Famous Impersonator Navi Takes On The Role He Was Meant For In ‘Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland’ (Teaser Trailer)
So Lifetime is gonna do The King Of Pop’s biopic. Interesting. Wonder if it will be more something for the fans, or really go into the never-talk-about parts of the ruler of Neverland.
Based on the best-selling book, Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson In His Final Days, and told through the eyes of Jackson’s trusted bodyguards, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard. The movie will reveal firsthand the devotion Michael Jackson had to his children, and the hidden drama that took place during the last two years of his life.

Seeing that they got the guy who played Tyreese (Chad L. Coleman) on AMC’s The Walking Dead. Looks like some good work by Jackson impersonator Navi in there, too. Looking forward to this movie. Check out the teaser above.
Star Trek: Discovery (First Look Series Trailer)
YES!!! Debuting on CBS television, then moving to CBS All Access, the first new Star Trek TV series in 16 years is on the way. Coming this Fall, Star Trek: Discovery! Full disclosure: I am VERY biased in favor of this series for three huge reasons: For one, because Star Trek. Second, there’s my major crush on star Sonequa Martin-Green (whose character went out like a G on AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ a few weeks ago). And then, yooooo, when Michelle Yeoh gives the order to ‘contact Starfleet’ because they have ‘engaged the Klingons’ … I got the same tingles when Captain Piccard (Patrick Stewart) delivered the classic line back in the day (“We have engaged The Borg”).
Before Kirk, Spock and the Enterprise there was Discovery. Now, one of the most iconic and influential global franchises returns to television with Star Trek: Discovery. The CBS All Access Original Series arrives this Fall.
Maaaan, I got two boners. Nerd boner. And, well, it’s almost noon, right?

War For The Planet Of The Apes (Final Trailer)
Hey. You heard Caesar. He did not start the war, but he will damn sure finish it! And this trailer being the last before the July theatrical release, it feels like the start of the ending… of mankind’s reign over the planet. About to be ‘War’… About to be ‘The Planet Of The Apes!’
In War For The Planet Of The Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet. Marvel Presents ‘The Gifted’ (Series Trailer)
Okay! So FOX is trying to eat off ‘superhero TV’ now. FX is on board for a second season of “Legion” – a show that leans on the door of the X-Men mutant universe. Now the big network of the FOX TV family is kicking that door in and sitting at the grownups’ table this Fall. They even have Bryan Singer at the storytelling helm. He’s the one who brought us those first Patrick Stewart x Hugh Jackman x Halle Berry X-Men! Here’s the series synopsis…
What tore them apart is what will bring them together. From Director Bryan Singer, and in association with Marvel Television, comes the all-new FOX series, “The Gifted.”
Action-adventure family drama “The Gifted,” from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Charlie Musselwhite & Nas Speak On The Music Of The 1920s And Of Today (Teaser Trailer)
They were rapping about street life and gangsta life…
Nas, Speaking On “On the Road Again†By Memphis Jug Band
A great look for PBS, this episode of “American Epic Sessions” features Charlie Musselwhite (of Memphis Jug Band) and Nas. That line from Greg Nice comes to mind: This is how we take the old to the new. Hear Nas speak on the timelessness and relevance of Musselwhite’s music. And see a bit of the performance of Nas’ cover of “On the Road Againâ€
(Hip-Hop flavor from the 1920s. Cool!)
Maya Angelou: ‘And Still I Rise’ (Trailer)
Miss Calypso? Really?! Wow…Had no idea. And it’s a good bet there will be much more stuff many of us did not know about the late great Dr. Maya Angelou in the forthcoming “And Still I Rise” feature. Watch the trailer above.
Dr. Maya Angelou’s legendary writings including I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Phenomenal Woman and On the Pulse of Morning are merely a few examples of how words can truly change the world. Although she is most well-noted for her poetry, Maya Angelou and Still I Rise celebrates her multiple talents including singing, dancing, filmmaking, academia and civil rights activism, how she inspired generations, pushed boundaries and never ceased in her long fight for freedom for all. Bob Hercules and Rita Coburn Whack’s extraordinary film seamlessly weaves the key messages of her poetry into the narrative of her life with rare archival footage, interviews and of course, recitals of her original works. Powerful, proud and prolific, Angelou’s story is one of true courage and creativity of a woman who fought for her beliefs and lived life to the fullest.

Dr. Dre + Jimmy Iovine Are ‘The Defiant Ones’ (HBO Trailer)
That music. Isn’t that on the movie soundtrack for “The Untouchables?” Because that’d be kind of dope.
The Defiant Ones is a four-part documentary series that tells the stories of Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre.
– HBO
Debuting July 9th. Another related film coming to the small screen in the ‘Aftermath’ (get it?) of the “Straight Outta Compton” movie.
Blade Runner 2049 (Trailer)
Far into the future since the original ‘Blade Runner’ on screen and in real life… and the story is far from over. New trailer for the sequel that’s been a long-time coming #BladeRunner2049
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
#BladeRunner2049, starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, with Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.
– Warner Bros. Pictures
So we have Ford, James, Bautista, and Leto. That’s Star Wars (old and new) and The Walking Dead (on AMC) repped, along with a ‘Guardian Of The Galaxy’ and a new school ‘Joker’… Looks like the futuristic sci-fi action-thriller casting for this movie is on point!
Marvel’s The Defenders (Series Trailer)
The full official trailer for “The Defenders” is here, and it is teasing a Netflix team-up series that is more badazz than any of the hero’s that comprise the team! Is that possible? Watch the trailer all the way down to that hallway fight where Luke, Jessica, Fist and Daredevil are kicking much azz and giving no damns about their names… Then YOU decide for yourself!
Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. The Netflix original series will launch globally on August 18, 2017.
– Netflix
Not saying I don’t care what you think, but if you don’t think Marvel’s “The Defenders” is gonna be worthy, WE DON’T CARE! So.. haters can go binge ‘Scandal’ reruns or something.

The Dark Tower (Trailer)
Watching this trailer had us like, “Interesting,” until Elba’s character loaded his gun barrels by snatching falling bullets out of the air into the chambers… Then it was like, “F**K THAT! WE’RE IN!”
