Actor/Comedian Tracy Morgan: ‘Re-Animated,’ Reminiscing About Crazy Times With Family, And More (Video)
In a phone interview, actor/comedian Tracy Morgan tells UPROXX about the folks who influenced his style of comedy (from his dad and uncles to Bill Cosby and George Carlin). He goes on to talk about his current moves: missed out on getting to replace Letterman on ‘Late Night’ but Rio and Rio 2…hard work, nice checks! And ‘school lunch’ with President Obama? It’s kind of funny to think about; but something to think about though, right?
To punctuate the article, and make it more of a multimedia experience, UPROXX also shared a Tracy Morgan: ‘Re-Animated’ clip (courtesy of Comedy Central, embedded above).
Chad Johnson On NiteCap: Opening Up About The NFL, His Past With Evelyn, ‘Possibility’ For A Monogamous Relationship And More With Peter Bailey (Video)
“This upcoming episode is probably one of my most entertaining and most provocative.”
– Peter Bailey
Was Chad at fault for playing the game the way he wanted to play it? Or was the NFL at fault for trying to rein him in? Hmmm. This purposeful juxtaposition of point-of-view by Peter Bailey is the type of stuff that wins him critical acclaim. His conversational series has him sharing a NiteCap on South Beach with former NFL star and reality TV personality Ocho Cinco / Chad Johnson. Chad opens up to Peter about his past including (of course) his ‘hard road taken’ NFL career, his ‘road’… with Evelyn Lozada, growing up in Liberty City and more.
“I been a weirdo, long time ago… Nothing about what I’m doing is a ‘role’…”
– Chad Johnson

If you were to imagine a perfect “Illmatic” 20th anniversary celebratory event, part of it would have to go like this… Nas shows up on The Tonight Show (’cause you know Fallon respects real Hip-Hop)… Oh, Q-Tip is there, too? HBO: Real Time With Bill Maher Welcomes Nas (Video)
I knew Bill Maher would ask Nas about his collaboration record with Jay Z called “Black Republican.” When the song first came out I knew it wasn’t titled properly in my opinion, but if you’re an astute listener then you know that Nas has never said he feels like a “Black Republican.” in the song. While Jay Z was proclaiming to feel like a “Black Republican,” Nas made it clear in the songs chorus that he leans on the side of the “Black Militant” taking over the government. Nas didn’t throw Jay Z under the bus in his explanation to Bill Maher, but he played it off well. I think that maybe Bill Maher asked this question on purpose to see if Nas would throw Jay Z under the bus.
Above: Nas on the 20th anniversary of “Illmatic” (the interview and more). ‘Overtime’ segment after the jump.

SCIENCE: It’s A Small Universe After All? Neil deGrasse Tyson Says, “No, It’s Not!” (Video)
No doubt Fox News Channel is staunchly in the camp of Conservative viewers and viewers of [mostly Christian] faith. So it still feels eery that the flagship network of the Fox broadcasting family of channels (FOX) airs Cosmos – a show that unabashedly pushes the science-is-fact-faith-is-folly viewpoint each week. It’s a no-brainer that the popular Fox cartoon ‘Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane is likely flexing some muscle on the network to keep the bold show on-air as is, as Cosmos’ executive producer. However, this show is no joke; and neither is its host, world-renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. A protege of the original host of PBS’ Cosmos, Tyson is unapologetic about making points each episode that fly in the faces of those who believe in creationism, doubt evolution, and know that the Earth (and Universe) are way less than 7,000 years old.
In Tyson’s view, what does he have to apologize for… the truth?
Check out the episode above: “Sky Full of Ghosts,†in which Tyson pretty much knocks the Bible-based belief about the age of the universe down for the 10 count.
“The Crab Nebula is about 6,500 light years [note: a light year is equal to the distance that light can travel in a year] from Earth. According to some beliefs, that’s the age of the whole universe, but if the universe were only 6,500 years old, how could we see light from anything more distant than the Crab Nebula? We couldn’t. To believe in a universe as young as 6,000 or 7,000 years old is to extinguish the light from most of the galaxy, not to mention the light from all the other hundred billion other galaxies in the observable universe.â€
– Neil deGrasse Tyson
VERY compelling television; whatever you believe. Watch.

Now The Breakfast Club is on Revolt TV? Power move. Only right they get a guest like 50 Cent for the debut TV episode. But Revolt TV is Diddy’s channel, and Rick Ross (a rival of 50’s) is in his camp… so, yeah, 50 had a chuckle with the Power 105 morning crew over that. 50 went on to make lively TV via interview video: speaking on air travel with Ja Rule, on Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, on his new single “Smoke,” on his departure from Interscope, on (drum roll) “Detox” and more.

Jimmy Fallon x Lebron James – “Wastepaper Basketball” (Video)

MTV Cribs Retro Rewind: Back To Redman’s Newly Renovated House (Video)
One of the greatest MTV Cribs segments EVER was when the cameras visited Redman at his Staten Island home. It was one of the most memorable & hilarious episodes on television. As we now are in 2014, MTV Cribs went back to Redman’s house to see how he has now upgraded & ‘Beyonce’d out’ his home since 2001. Some people may have laughed AT Redman back in 2001 when his hilarious MTV Cribs segment aired, but when you think of the hundreds of recording artists who went broke or filed for bankruptcy trying to impress fans on the show it’s clear that Redman was the true winner even if his home is rather modest. Redman’s humble home maybe entirely paid for at this point. In case you never saw the original episode I posted the link below….

It’ll make you proud of the Dogg Father. On some grown man ish.
