Stephen Colbert Reveals President Trump’s Obamacare Replacement Strategy: The Plan Is No Plan (Video)
‘Brevity is the soul of wit’… and he is evidently witless.
Hahahaaa! Gotta laugh to keep from crying. If we lose the Affordable Healthcare we have, guess what we get in its place. No, seriously, guess. Because I don’t know. I’m hoping maybe you (or somebody, like the current administration) might. In the meantime, who wants a free ‘mermogerm’ though?
On healthcare, not only doesn’t Trump have a plan. He doesn’t have a plan TO MAKE a plan.
– The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Yeah, but bet your pockets he plans to be on Twitter tonight (and every night)!

RIP Nipsey Hussle (Video)
I hoped against all hope that it was not true, but CNN and major news and online reporting outlets confirm that Nipsey Hussle died tragically, the result of a shooting near his clothing store, in the area of Crenshaw and Slauson. Born Ermias Davidson Asghedom, he was 33 years old.
Beyond the obvious, what is really saddening is that while Nip lived a lifetime in his short years, he had so much more to live for. He was fresh off a well-deserved Grammy nomination and consistently recognized for his solid body of work in rap, his noteworthy successes in business, and his neighborhood activism in keeping with global thinking and local action. But he was due for more: J. Cole and Drake both shared that they were set to do songs with him and would miss his presence. He was in the final stages of buying up the block [where his business operates] and bringing peace & brotherhood to his hood. And we just posted on the committed relationship and family life he had built with Lauren London on here.
Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle died after a shooting in Los Angeles near a clothing store he owned, according to a high-ranking law enforcement official with the Los Angeles Police Department. CNN’s Brooke Baldwin discusses with DJ HeadKrack.

Such a loss for us all. In time, we will heal. But for now, we will mourn. Rest In Peace, Neighborhood Nip.

The Story Of Why ‘Martin’ Ended (Video)
These Comedy Hype videos we have been coming across are more about the funny than being funny in and of themselves. This one especially. ‘Martin’ is one of the funniest shows to ever have been on TV. Whyyyyy did that good thing have to come to such a lackluster end? Watch.

Cam Newton Off-Season Sacrifices: No Meat And No… (Video)
… ‘touching’ his meat. WTF?? All pro QB Newton is on some new ‘ish to regain focus! He was pescatarian before, so maybe giving up meat was not so hard. He could hire a vegan chef. But that ‘no climax’ thing. Why would you give up the one thing a multimillionaire athlete is damn near guaranteed on a near nightly basis?? No thigh-thigh, not even looking at wi-fi, NO sex or nothing in or out of the champagne room. Now, that’s a REAL sacrifice! Talk about ‘March Madness’ (sheeeesh)! Good luck with that, sir.
James asks Cam Newton about his decision to go vegan and the challenges that come along with it, and the conversation turns to the presence of flowers on Cam’s social media, which has to do with Cam going fully celibate for the month of March.

Watch This Clip On A “Labor Camp” In Belle Glade, Florida, In 1960 (Mini-Documentary)
My Dad saw a similar story on TV in the mid-1980s and it prompted him to go looking for his older brother. They’d only been in sparse contact with each other, but Dad knew Uncle DeWitt was in Florida working on a farm similar to their sharecropping days. It turns out that Uncle DeWitt was caught up at a place like this.
Check out this footage of these kids and their mother at a “labor camp” in Belle Glade, FL in 1960. Gotta see it to believe it.

We got him out of there. But places like that even existing in the 20th century. Makes me feel a way. Watch and you’ll likely feel it, too.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger Season 2 Premieres Thursday, April 4 On Freeform (Series Trailer)
I never like it when my shows take long hiatuses, esp. in the modern TV era when most networks’ shows break their seasons in half (like a series premiere, then a midseason finale, then a midseason premiere, then a season finale). Too much time away from the viewers. Out of sight, out of mind, out of a job.
But Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger had a pretty good premiere season. Hopefully, the long hiatus means a powerful second season is on the way. We will see next month!

‘Officer Clemmons’ Speaks On Being Black In “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” (Video)
Hope you got to spend Valentine’s Day celebrating love in some way. I sat down and watched a documentary on a legend who lived a life of love; influencing generations to be better people as he made his way in the world. Man, if only we had Mr. Rogers around now. Rest in peace to the legend Fred Rogers.
Then IÂ found this Great Big Story on ‘Officer Clemmons’ on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. So wonderful!
Remember Officer Clemmons, the policeman from “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood?” Actor Francois Clemmons was initially reluctant to take the role. Growing up in the late ’60s, Clemmons didn’t have a positive opinion of the cops at the time. But Fred Rogers convinced him, and Clemmons became one of the first Black actors to have a recurring role in a children’s TV program.

The 2019 Grammys: Standout Live Performances (Video)
Did anybody catch The Grammys? Not on ’em like that so much, but landed on the channel and peeped a while. Some out-there performances on there; memorable to say the least. Snagged and embedded some of the noteworthy ones – starting with a very special opening above, continuing the showcases after the jump.
(Now when I say ‘snagged’… Well, you’ll see. Just please forgive the bootleggedness of some of the clips.)
