Chandler Parsons Talks About Sex, ‘His Performance’ And More On ‘Chelsea Lately’ (Video)
Too bad Chelsea Handler’s run on E! is almost done. This is a cool clip with her putting the NBA’s Chandler Parsons in the hot seat. She does that. A little ‘sex talk’ on Chelsea Lately.
Chelsea: “Are you allowed… to like have sex… They say you can’t have a lot of sex when you’re performing at that level, right?”
Chandler: “There’s…there’s definitely some sort of penetration during season.”
Hmm. Why is Chels so curious though? A li’l Handler on Chandler after Lately maybe? Heh… Seriously though, I’ve always dug the way Chandler Parson’s game when he was playing the Houston Rockets. I’m looking forward to him doing great things with the Dallas Mavericks.
Comedy: The Mannings ‘Fantasy’ – Coming Live And DIRECT With The Flows (Video)
Confirmed. Every athlete wants to be a rapper… EVERY… athlete. So, finally the Brothers Manning (Peyton and Eli) admit and act on the fantasy… together! HILARIOUS! Relax, it’s a spoof video for a fantasy…football league. It’s not like they’ll retire soon with major accomplishments in the sport, money, and a lot of time on their hands to pursue a post-NFL passion.
Uh oh.
Okaaaay… we HOPE it’s a spoof video. Really…It’s for a DirecTV Fantasy Football ad (this time).
First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage…Then Kim Kardashian Comes To Sit On The ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Couch And Talk About It (Video)
Jimmy Kimmel Live! welcomes the Yeezus [Dime]Piece… Kim Kardashian (the Armenian formally known as Mrs. West). She and Jimmy discuss her and Kanye West’s recent wedding event. KimYe did it like no other. Everyone we know books a location months (up to more than a year) in advance of the wedding day; but the soon-to-be-Wests just went from France to Italy as a site like that. And guests still made it! And your folks probably get a photographer, but do you get photography from the likes of Steve McQueen? Outside of this being a press-worthy event, Kim and Kanye seemed to have done their best to make marital memories that will last them a lifetime.
Whatever you feel about how important it is to “Keep Up With…” any Kardashian, you should watch the interview clips (starting above; continuing after the jump). The chat is light and lively. Lady Kim is as demur and lovely as any blushing bride… You get a feel for Kim as a person rather than a paparazzi target; even amid the silliness that is Kimmel.
Reunited: Wu-Tang Appears On ‘The Daily Show’ With Jon Stewart And Performs “Ron O’Neal” (Video)
Ha! Here’s the vid. Wu-Tang was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart the other night to talk up their re-union in front of the hometown crowd; and to do a performance of their new single “Ron O’Neal.” Decent. They took the on-air broadcast home with a performance of “Triumph.” See the performance clips after the jump. Start with the interview above.
Lebron James Homecoming Party In Ohio Not Much Different Than The Miami Heat’s 2010 Pep Rally (Video)
Here’s the full video of Lebron James’ Homecoming party in Akron Ohio. In this full-length video Lebron states that he doesn’t plan on eventually leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers or the state of Ohio. It’s rather ironic how hypocritical fans & the media have been since Lebron decided to return to his home state. The Miami Heat inherited all of Lebron’s hate when he left & even protected him while he was playing in Miami. The pep rally & everything the Miami Heat did when Lebron & Chris Bosh joined D-Wade in Miami was criticized by the media, but his homecoming pep rally in this video was celebrated. You can say that now the Miami Heat have officially become ‘Villains’ or ‘Anti-Heroes’ largely because of Lebron. It wasn’t like that prior to 2010. Personally I don’t feel he should have left Miami after the way the Cavs owner Dan Gilbert & some of the racist comments & taunts from fans in Ohio acted. Ultimately it’s Lebron’s life to live and he ultimately has to do what’s best for him & his family. Barring injury or any other unforseen circumstance I believe he will be considered to be the best ever to play the game. We’ll see how things turn out up there for the long haul though because as Lebron said himself, he didn’t come back to make himself happy….He came back to try to make his city & state happy.
PBS: “Finding Your Roots” With Dr. Henry Louis Gates Explores Celebrities’ Family Trees, Including Nas’ (Season Trailer)
“Now I’m looking into their world…”
– Nas
PBS is home to some incredible television. Real. Not ‘reality TV.’ Case in point: “Finding Your Roots” with Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Following on a great inaugural season, Season 2 is going to be loaded with guests who want to know the depth of the roots of their family trees. Everyone will learn something stunning about themselves on the show. The G.O.D.M.C. Nassir Jones (aka Nas), shown among other celeb guests in the season trailer above, seemed very reflective about what Dr. Gates found and shared with him. Check out the trailer. And check local listings for broadcast times.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk Tells Stephen Colbert: ‘We Should Go To Mars’ (Video)
Elon Musk (aka Marvel Comics’ character Tony Starks come to life) recently interviewed with Stephen Colbert, telling him that he is “aspiring to send people to Mars.” Of course, the billionaire who owns SpaceX has had his eyes on out-of-this-world travel, but his reasoning is intriguing. Worth watching the above clip for.
“…humanity as we know it is likely to propagate into the future much further than if we are a single-planet species…[It’s] life insurance, collectively…It would be the greatest adventure ever…really exciting and inspiring…it’s possible to transform Mars into an Earth-like planet.”
Very cool.
Black Jesus (Series Trailer)
Aaron McGruder Is BACK (officially as of August 7, 2014)! And he brought some of his homies from the “Boondocks” (like John ‘Grampa’ Witherspoon and Charlie ‘Ed Wuncler III‘ Murphy) over from his old Adult Swim gig/creation to his new venture – “Black Jesus.” No hate, but do you notice “Boondocks” losing some of it’s edge now that McGruder’s gone? Well, you’ll have absolutely NONE of that problem with his new new series. This show seems set to ‘go there’ even harder than the YouTube webisodes that were underground when “Boondocks” ruled Cartoon Network’s late night.
Get ready to feel The Spirit of the The Most High — Black Jesus — a new comedy from the creator of The Boondocks. Premieres Thursday, August 7th, at 11p ET on [adult swim].
John Oliver Slams America’s Slammers: The Prison System Is ‘Horribly Broken’ (Video)
Former member of the late night tongue-in-cheek commentative cabal over at Comedy Central (you know, folks like Jon Stewart and Jessica Williams of The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report)… John Oliver has been loosed on the HBO audience; where he’s making even more biting wisecracks. Letting them have it!
Here’s yet another occasion to unleash the cracking Kraken – spotlighting America’s broken penal system.
On the episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver embedded above, the host spent about a third of his show’s run-time on how broken America’s prison system is. In essence, tearing some a-holes some new a-holes. Oliver dropped science and atomic bombs… America having more imprisoned than China, the rampant amount of prison rape, the abysmal medical care and maggots in the food (as contractors cut costs beyond the bone), folks copping pleas to avoid prison instead of defending themselves in court as is their legal right… all wrong, wrong, wrong!
Tie the tirade together with a Sesame Street styled clip; and you’ve got a winner. Realize though that in the midst of the joking, how disproportionate the number of people of color vs. Whites end up in the hell we call prison…and you’ll understand that the U.S. has got a loser… its prison system!
ESPN Highlights: Drake Hosts The 2014 ESPYs (Video)
Hey, Stuart Scott’s award acceptance was definitely the most beautiful moment of the night of the ESPYs. But like it or love it, Drake, as host, hit all the marks (and “Side Pieces” … hilarious) and kept the show lively and moving.
That ‘Lance blow’ though… (a W-T-F moment to be certain)! Enjoy the clip above, with lots after the jump. If you have half as much fun as Drake seemed to be having, you’ll be doing good.
ESPYs Special Moment: Sports Anchor Stuart Scott Accepts The 2014 Jimmy V Award And A Hug From His Baby Girl (Video)
I’m not special. I just listened to what the man said.
– Stuart Scott
The man, to whom ESPN anchor Stuart Scott refers in his statement above, was the late coach and ESPN commentator Jimmy Valvano. But if you witnessed Stuart’s acceptance of the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the ESPYs… through your tears… you witnessed what the man stood for – a demonstration of character, strength in the face of adversity, humility, honesty, and love. What you witnessed was heart; and it was beautiful.
Stuart is also battling cancer. And in his acceptance speech, he revealed how hard he is fighting – having undergone four surgeries in the days before due to complications with the disease. Such courage, wisdom and grace. Worthy of praise and so hard to put into words; but more than worthy of our attempt here.
Stuart is living V’s words: He will not give up…ever! Neither will his extended family (ESPN coworkers and execs, mom and dad siblings, girlfriend, daughters, other loved ones and friends); because, as he said, he cannot fight alone.
Watch the ultimate ESPN highlight; capped by the most beautiful moment of the night – when his youngest daughter, Sydni, walked on stage and gave Daddy the hug he needed.
(Crying again…dammit.)
The Amazing Jam Session Guys Rock ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ With Trey Songz x Juicy J x Aloe Blacc (Video)
Wow! Remember coming across the ‘3 Random Dudes Jam Session’ vid that went viral a while ago? Yes/no? Well, apparently the viral went epidemic… enough to get the notice from Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show staff. And man, they put together something special. A dream come true for the artists and audience to be sure! Check it out.

NatGeo Delves Deeply Into Tupac’s Murder Investigation As Part Of It’s ‘Last Great Decade’ Series (Video)
If you were around then, you feel our anguish now. Twenty years later… and the investigation into the murder of one of Hip-Hop’s most revered… has gotten NOWHERE?? Well, at least the death of Tupac Shakur stays on the front burner for a while longer; part of National Geographic’s three-night documentary mini-series “The ’90s: The Last Great Decade?” Talk show host and actor Arsenio Hall, music video director Gobi Rahimi and rapper MC E.D.I. Mean (of the Outlawz) all in there speaking truth that hurts regarding the lack of progress in the case and the hunt for the people responsible for Tupac’s death. Too high a profile for ‘Pac (or B.I.G.) for us to have zilch after all this time.
“I believe…that if Justin Bieber had gotten shot in Tupac’s car…we’d know more.”
– Arsenio Hall
The NatGeo series starts on July 6, 2014. Watch. Discuss.
Boardwalk Empire: Final Season (Trailer)
Now, here’s some of that other eye candy. Seven years after last season’s timeframe, right into the Great Depression, and Nucky Thompson is still doing his thing, running alcohol during Prohibition. The rest of the rogue’s gallery show up in the trailer above, too. Best believe by the time this season wraps, it’ll be in anything but a nice neat bow.
Question: Where’s Chalky? Go back to last season to refresh your memory… make some guesses… wait for the September premiere. It WILL be epic!
No one goes quietly.
Reporter Gave Playful Erykah Badu ‘The NYC Push Back’ For Trying To Steal A Kiss (Video)
Pix11 reporter Mario Diaz expected to report on the day’s top news story. Sure. But some strange woman trying to sneak a kiss? What!!?? Diaz was probably like
Lady, I’m working over here. We’re live on air. I’m famous in the city and on top of that and you think you gone walk up and kiss…? Ha! Take this forearm to the breastplate and get the f—…
Oh… it’s sexy soulful singer-song writer Erykah Badu wanting to play kissy face with…me?? And *gulp* I…I… pushed her away?
DAMN DAMN DAAAAAAAMN!
(Well, dude later tweeted his wife was nearby by. See after the jump. Maybe he scored some points with her on some not-even-Baduism-over-you-baby ish. Hahaaaaa!)

Celebrities Undercover: Ice-T And Coco (Video)
INCREDIBLE makeup transformations! Ice-T and Coco (that’s them in the makeup; for real) dress up to blend in with their fans, participating in fake scenarios set up to uncover people’s real feelings about each of them. Wendy Williams as host to the overall appearance kind of hints at ‘messiness’… but don’t worry… it doesn’t go overboard like that. Interesting and insightful watch. Enjoy.
(Oh… and speaking of enjoyment… see Coco doing what she do after the jump. So thick. So fit. A li’l bonus eye candy for y’all.)

‘Change The Mascot Movement’ Scores A Major Win: U.S. Patent Office Cancels Washington’s NFL Team Trademarks (Video)
Aha! So we’re seeing some real movement on the ‘Change The Mascot’ movement since we posted about it here.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office canceled six trademarks belonging to the football team on Wednesday, saying they are offensive to Native Americans…If the decision is upheld, it will be hard for the team to claim ownership of its brand, a crucial step in going after the makers of unlicensed merchandise…The decision came in response to a suit brought by five Native Americans.
It’s been time Washington; and the U.S. Patent Office obviously agrees. Change The Mascot. JayForce suggested ‘Washington Warriors’ as an alternative. See? Still bad ass, yet not offensive.

Some of the world’s biggest and baddest roller coasters are right there. So… Jimmy wants to ride one. Kevin does NOT (but he is going to). PLEASE watch this to the end for a genuine reaction.

Dave Chappelle Talks about His first Encounter with ‘The Roots’, Meeting Rising Star Kanye West, Upcoming Shows And More (Video)
Hahaaa! She thought Dave Chappelle was ‘a lost Root.’ Hearing Chappelle’s new stories about back-in-the-day stuff lets us know he’s still got plenty in the comedic tank. And it’s so effortless for him. The whole ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘ clip is funny, but don’t be drinking anything when you’re playing the part about Dave’s first encounter with Kanye in the latter portion of the above clip.
Fair warning…
(More footage, from the top of the interview, after the jump.)
The National Congress of American Indians Says It’s Past Time To ‘Change The Mascot’ For Washington D.C.’s NFL Team (Video)
“Native Americans call themselves many things. The one thing they don’t…”
Powerful point made with lots of eyes watching. Above is the commercial the NFL would not let air. The National Congress of American Indians went for another ‘big game’ viewing audience though.
After the jump, Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation leaders speak on why they got involved with the Change The Mascot movement.
