He zeroes in on California’s prisons; but there is enough comedic jabbing for lots more in America to feel the King Of [Sarcastic] Sting.

You know… you’d think they be tired of being on the wrong side (being a right-wing network)… or at least be tired of being beat down by clever comedic comic attacks from The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report.

Incredible. Those in professions like attorney and doctor are taken at their word all the time; so much so, that we listen to their arguments; not wanting to (or knowing when) to question them. Watch Lawrence O’Donnell break down assistant district attorney Kathy Alizadeh’s reasoning before the Grand Jury in Ferguson; and how she misinformed them… and for the most part led the those on the Grand Jury down a path that would end in the full pardon of officer Darren Wilson. Such a big “mistake” Alizadeh made… hmmm… do you think it was lack of competence or lack of care?
MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell blasted St. Louis County assistant district attorney Kathy Alizadeh on Wednesday for taking weeks to tell the Grand Jury in the Darren Wilson case she made a major mistake regarding police officers’ right to use legal force. “With prosecutors like this, Darren Wilson never really needed a defense lawyer,†he said. O’Donnell said that early on in the jurors’ deliberations, Alizadeh handed them a copy of a 1979 Missouri statute saying police were “justified in the use of such physical force as he or she reasonably believes is immediately necessary to effect the arrest or prevent the escape from custody.†However, he explained, the Supreme Court found those kinds of statutes to be unconstitutional six years later.
During his “Rewrite” section last night, MSNBC Host Lawrence O’Donnell pointed a very serious error that the St. Louis Assistant DA made when preparing the Jury to hear the testimony of Officer Darren Wilson.
The Grand Jury decided that Wilson has the right to shoot even if his life is not threatened, however, they made the decision based on a 1979 statute that was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court back in 1985.

This… is The Colbert Report! Bahaaaa! In the waning days of his Comedy Central show (moving to CBS to take over David Letterman’s spot next year), Stephen Colbert lampoons the sh!t out of Ferguson – complete with a ‘welcome back Ray Rice reference.’ It’s the kind of fun you make of something that makes abso-damn-lutely no damn sense; so you have to laugh at it. Funny thing is, everyone laughs except for the guilty involved and those ‘outraged’ by someone like Colbert making fun of the fiery situation.
Old folks always say, “A hit dog’ll holler” (probably can’t take a joke because they are a joke – looking at you St. Louis Police Officers Association).

Check out the points made (not ‘scored’… it’s not about that) about Ferguson in the aftermath and Grand Jury announcement that no charges would be brought against [now retired] officer Darren Wilson, the man who shot and killed Mike Brown. ESPN’s 30-for-30: Playing For The Mob (Full Documentary)

What happens when you combine “Goodfellas” with college basketball? You get “Playing For The Mob,” the story of how mobster Henry Hill — played by Ray Liotta in the 1990 Martin Scorsese classic — helped orchestrate the fixing of Boston College basketball games in the 1978-79 season. The details of that point-shaving scandal are revealed for the first time on film through the testimony of the players, the federal investigators and the actual fixers, including Hill, who died shortly after he was interviewed. “Playing For The Mob” may be set in the seemingly golden world of college basketball, but like “Goodfellas,” this is a tale of greed, betrayal and reckoning. Ultimately, they both share the same message: With that much money at stake, you can’t trust anybody.
“Goodfellas” meets college basketball? Hmmm… some Hollywood screenwriter is probably reading this and about to cash out. Just remember where you read it (the check goes to the address on the contact page)!
