ESPN’s Outside The Lines: Carry On (Trailer)
I watched this on ESPN Sunday afternoon and found it to be nothing short of inspiring. Wow.
The network initially profiled Dartanyon Crockett – legally blind, homeless and motherless – and his friend, Leroy Sutton, who was often found on Crockett’s back (the result of his losing his legs after being run over by a train when he was 11) four years ago. ESPN revisited and updated the touching story of the friendship and bond of these two young athletes today.
JAYFORCE.COM EXCLUSIVE: A Visual Recap Of The Miami Heat’s Historic 2013 Back-To-Back NBA Championship & Game 7 Title Win
After so much Miami Heat HATE, “King James The 4th” (MVPs) aka Lebron James & the Miami Heat have conquered once again for another back-to-back NBA championship. I’m blessed to have ‘witnessed’ & covered, in-person, Lebron’s first championship win back in 2012 & this year’s historic 2013 win over the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals. After the Miami Heat’s historic 27-game winning streak this season, Lebron winning his 4th league MVP, & the rather eventful ‘Harlem Shake’ video, it was inevitable that this year would be nothing less than special in a myriad of ways. I had secured great seats not far from being courtside believing Miami would win it all in 6 games over the San Antonio Spurs, but when it was apparent there would be a game 7 I had to swap that out. My game 7 seats weren’t as great as my seats in 2012 or even my game 6 seats, but this was not at all bad considering there really aren’t any bad seating arrangements in Miami’s American Airlines arena to begin with. The sight lines were still very good & close to the action which was clearly visible from our seats. The most important thing was being in the building to witness history & to report on it. As the squad prepares for the 2013-2014 season in just a few months for a possible 3-peat, here’s the JAYFORCE.COM report & recap via tweets, pics, & with video of what took place in Miami before, during, & after the Heat pulled out a historic & classic game 7 win over the San Antonio Spurs.
About to head to the airport for MIA. I'll be at the game rooting for the @MiamiHeat to get a back-to-back NBA championship! #TEAMHEAT!!

Vinyl Destination | Ep. 13: Celebrating Independence Day With The Magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff (Video)
In episode 13 of Vinyl Destination, DJ Jazzy Jeff was back home with family… so to speak… doing his thing on stage with his fam The Roots in the hometown Philly. Everybody from Queen Latifah to Common to Daryl Hall was in town for the Fourth of July celebration show. Great practice footage; and the fanfare and fireworks at the concert were appropriate for the incredible show enjoyed by all. An unparalleled celebration of America in the city of its birth. But the party didn’t stop there. It was off to Dusk (a venue in Atlantic City). On the way, Jeff shared some touching sentiments about his late friend DJ AM.

Drake, Spike Lee, Bill Russell & More Leave Voice Mails Congratulating LeBron James (Video)
Wow! Listen to what the legend Bill Russell had to say in this Nike ad. Welcome to the circle, King James! Some of everybody left voice mail. Guessing Nike is footing the phone bill, so you can too. Try it!
‘LeBron won back-to-back. Wait for the beep. Leave your message. (305) 767-2226.’

Tonight at 8pm eastern time, Nik Wallenda is going to walk across the @#$!ing Grand Canyon… LIVE… no harness, no tether, no safety net!
‘What kind of person attempts to walk across the Grand Canyon without a harness?’
– Discovery Channel
It’s too easy to answer: “A crazy person.” Instead, watch the trailer above and the bonus clip after the jump. Then, watch the skywire event tonight.

Comedy: Getting Posterized Is Just ‘Nuts’ (Video)
Some people say Boost Mobile went too far with this one. And we like to call those people WRONG! This ‘Junk Dunk’ commercial is HILARIOUS! Dare I say ‘nuts’! Bwahahahaaaaa!! I could describe the action, but why would I ruin it for you? Just click play.

The KKK Kept Patrick Ewing From Attending UNC (Video)
‘There was a big Ku Klux Klan rally in North Carolina when I was there. And I’m like…you know what…I’m not coming down here!’
– Patrick Ewing, on the phone with Dan Patrick
Well, Patrick Ewing’s first choice was Georgetown University anyway. But I bet that KKK ‘welcome ceremony’ didn’t help UNC’s recruiting effort. Note to any remaining racists out there… you can really cost your program something serious with your ignorance. Like future NBA all-star center serious. Wow! Watch.
Madden NFL 25 (Trailer)
A Madden game’s release is as big a deal – for EA Sports and for sports video gamer – as any music or movie’s. That said, here’s the Official Madden 25 Trailer (showcasing actual game footage). Coming out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Fall.
ESPN: Miami Heat’s Relationship With Miami’s Music Scene (Video)
Some do indeed fly south, to join others already in South Beach, for the winter… for basketball Miami Heat season! ESPN put together a piece on music notables like Birdman and Weezy, Jimmy Buffett and others who come on down court side to catch the games. Lil Wayne is not necessarily a Miami Heat fan though to say the least.
Some Folks Hate the Players, But Don’t Hate on Craig Sager’s Wardrobe Game
I think Craig Sager’s really a part-time Pimp who doubles as an sideline reporter. See the Bleacher Report video with Lance Fresh popping up at Sager’s digs for the scoop.

One on One with Ahmad Rashad: LeBron James (Video)
Pro athlete, all-star-turned-sportscaster Ahmad Rashad interviews four-time NBA MVP LeBron James. Lots of insight shared in a short clip. For example, Lebron actually wanted to excel on defense, setting a goal to be recognized for that, as well as an offensive powerhouse. Worthwhile viewing.
LeBron James & Chris Paul School A Young Stephen Curry & James Harden (Video)
LeBron James and Chris Paul share some wisdom! This clip assembles footage of brief heart-to-heart talks at a skills camp from a while back. Among the elite college ballers at the camp: a young Stephen Curry and James Harden. Respect to Justin Tinsley for the scoop on this one.
Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade Takes Time Out To Go To A Fan’s Prom (Video)
Take a look as Dwyane Wade surprises one of his biggest fans (Archbishop Carroll High senior Nicole Muxo) by attending her prom! Like his YouTube channel says, ‘Dwyane helps make a fan’s dream come true by showing up unexpectedly at her prom in Coral Gables, FL.’
Now, you gotta admit that that was kool. Bravo, D. Wade.
Jalen Rose Explains Why J.R. Smith Should Be At The Nightclub (Video)
Take a nap… Then champagne and campaign! Now, that’s hilarious (and true). Amen, Mr. Rose. Pay attention as Jalen Rose breaks down the ‘after-work’ life of those in NBA circles – like J. R. Smith (and himself) – in a way regular working folk can understand.
‘Jalen Rose explains to David Jacoby that in an NBA player’s lifestyle going to the nightclub late at night is no different than a 9 to 5 worker going to happy hour.’

ESPN’s E:60 on Miami Heat All-Star Chris Bosh (Video)
You say what you want about Miami Heat All-Star Chris Bosh but this dude is hilarious with all the situations that seem to happen with him. Self-inflicted suspect photobombs or not one thing for sure is you can’t deny the guy can play basketball. This ESPN mini-documentary with Lisa Salters exposes Chris Bosh for who he really is…..just a geeky, nerdy, yet highly intelligent former Georgia Tech student who had an interest in engineering & computer programming. To Chris Bosh’s wife he’s just a “goofball” who in more ways than one is just an entertainer at heart. Despite some of the negativity he’s received it’s kinda cool to see Chris Bosh won’t allow anything to affect his sense of humor.
Female Football Player Makes A Great Play Then ‘Twerks’ On An Opposing Player’s Head (Video)
Mm mm mm! I don’t understand why y’all hate on the Lingerie Legends Football League. See? There is plenty to celebrate… and oh how these athletes celebrate! Check out this highlight from former Hooter’s Beauty Ogom Chijindu (above).
Phil Jackson Makes Controversial Comparisons On The Skills Of Michael Jordan & Kobe Bryant (Video)
Legendary NBA coach Phil Jackson has coached 2 of the greatest NBA players to have ever played the game. For years he’s dodged the primary question most sports fans & reporters have desperately wanted him to answer. Now that he’s making the media rounds promoting his new book, Phil Jackson is finally speaking out. Phil Jackson compares Air Jordan to the Black Mamba in the above video of his interview with Jay Leno. Jay referenced Jackson’s book, Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success (due out May 21, 2013; available for pre-order at Amazon) in guiding their talk in this direction. In it, and in the above clip, Coach Jackson declares that both Jordan and Bryant are world class competitors; matched up in several aspects, but there are key differences, according to one of the few men in the world who can really say so. Coach ‘Zen Master’ also talks about how he set up a meeting between the two and his near-return to the Los Angeles Lakers’ bench. Kobe recently took to twitter & didn’t exactly seem too pleased with his former coach’s comparisons. I’d have to agree with Phil though….
The comparisons are #apples2oranges Wonder what the perception would be if M played wit @shaq instead #differentroles #differentcareerpaths

Rick Ross and Son Bond Courtside at the Miami Heat v. Chicago Bulls Playoff Game 2 (Video)
Ballin’ at the ball game… courtside… BAWSE! Rick Ross and his son take in game 2 of the Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls game 2 of the NBA Playoffs. Ultimate gift: Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat gives Ross’ son the shoes he wore in the game! That makes it a rather historic & special event for a young kid I’m sure he’ll never forget. As the series heads back to Miami tomorrow with the team up 3-1 on the Chicago Bulls it looks like my favorite team the Miami Heat are closer to another historic run for an NBA Championship. Let’s go HEAT! #TEAMHEAT
