Sorry Team Jordan, Tracy McGrady Is Picking Lebron James. Final Answer! (Video)
We agree with Tracy McGrady….. Fight us!
(Respect to Paul. He had his points. But Lebron had more points. Ha! PLUS he uplifts teammates. And he actually looks to pass the ball. But, you watch and decide, and do you.)
Do You Know Mindfulness Coach George Mumford? Michael Jordan And Kobe Bryant Do (Video)
The best way to score is not to try to score… You form an intention and then you have to allow it to happen.
– George Mumford
Not too far a stretch for two players coached by Phil Jackson to be into meditation. Jackson was known as ‘The Zen Master’ of course. However, this Daily VICE video is going to adjust the spotlight so it shines on the guy that really helped Air and The Heir Apparent to get their minds right, meditation guru George Mumford.
Sports: Lebron James’ Free Throw Style Is In A Constant State Of Change (Video)
Lebron James has had yet another stellar season, and talk of him replacing Air Jordan as the heir to the title of Best Baller Of All. His free throw game has been kind of lame (on the low) but he has been trying to fix it. Trying VERY hard. And ESPN has been eyeballing and has taken the time to elucidate every time King James has changed his style up in an attempt to do better at the line.
Damn. They even gave each switch up name!
Kobe Bryant Explains How The Warriors Work To Weaken Opponents’ Defenses (Video)
Communication is key. The confusion the Warriors create by their play confounds opponents attempts to communicate with each other as they attempt to keep up. Out of touch, out of step, opponents end up out of the playoffs. Ask San Antonio.
And there it is. A lot to take in, right? Well, the Mamba might be able to break it down. He’s pretty good at breaking things down (like defenses). Watch above.
In the next episode of Canvas, Kobe Bryant looks at the Warriors’ rare style and how it breaks down their opponents.

Liking ESPN’s ’70s stylized documentary presentation for this episode. The Golden Democracy. Cool.

HILARIOUS!!
Remember when 2 Chainz took on The Human Highlight Reel aka Dominique Wilkins? Well, go back to that post here… AFTER you watch what we have here above… because Titty Boi 2 Pointer is balling with the Big Leaguers again. And he is giving them enough to where the NBA’ers have to give him some talk back. Get ’em 2 Chainz. Rep the ATL well!
That tape –
Bonus behind the scenes trash talk from the pro-ballers after the jump. A whole other thing. Really good though.
The Penn Relays 2017 by Jamaine Mungo For JAYFORCE.COM (Video)
Posted this little snip so you all can see what it is like to be in the midst of massive pure human energy on level 12! Anyone who might have seen the subject of this post and thought, “Penn Relays… so that’s a big deal?” YES! It’s a big tings a Gwan!!! Peace to the homie “Maine” for sharing this firsthand experience for this piece, too.
Began running track my freshman year in high school, attended Maple Shade High School, New Jersey. My events were 400m, 800m and the 4×400 meter relay. Along with my teammates, we always trained hard and wanted to win. Our mindset was that hard work pays off and it certainly did. The start of outdoor track & field started in March and we all knew that once April approached it would be time for the Penn Relays. We knew that once we stepped on that track at Penn Relays, it would be “Game Timeâ€. It is an indescribable feeling of pure energy, excitement, and adrenaline once you step on to the track at Penn Relays.
After high school, I continued my track career at Virginia State University running the 400m, 800m and 4x400m events. Throughout my time at VSU, I ran the 4x400m, sprint medley and distant medley relay events at the Penn Relays. Every year that I’ve run at the Penn Relays, there was that same electrifying feeling was always there and I always ran my personal best time.
There is an overall natural feeling of excitement for any athlete from high school, collegiate to olympian who steps onto the track at the University of Pennsylvania for the Penn Relays. A majority of athletes run their fastest times at the track that is known as a “fast trackâ€. The Penn Relay carnival kicks off on a Tuesday and goes until Saturday. Athletes range from all age groups from middle school, high school, college, Olympians, and masters groups whom still compete at the golden age of 75+ running the 100m dash.
This is the largest Track & Field competition that is hosted where you can see all forms of athletes from all different age groups, various events and guaranteed to see some fast times on the track from the world’s best athletes.
So, you got a stadium packed with 90,000 fans – cheering, shouting, blowing horns, rattling all kinds of noisemakers and reveling with each other –
transferring that energy to the athletes who are now overcharged to run their fastest. Tradition, excellence, positive potential energy turned kinetic in the best ways. The Penn Relays started in April 21st, 1895 and is showing no signs of slowing down. It continues to get larger each year. The last race this year ended early Saturday evening, and just like that, it is over… until next year! – Jamaine

The 2017 NFL Draft Experience: Takeaways From JAYFORCE.COM Sports Team In Philadelphia
The 2017 NFL Draft In Philadelphia was the 1st time the NFL Draft would be held outdoors. The NFL draft in Philadelphia drew over 250,000 people with plenty of activities for adults & children a like as fans packed Philly’s Benjamin Franklin parkway up to Philadelphia’s Art Museum aka the “Rocky Steps” made famous by Sylvester Stallone.
There were a wide variety of activities in the park before & during the NFL draft that were free of charge most likely leveraged by the variety of corporate sponsors participating. Zip lines, kids events, & even a Lombardi trophy was on hand for fans to gawk or flick it up with.
A few things we noticed included the price of beers that were $12 a can which made it more difficult for anyone to get too rowdy & drunk during the festivities. Although the beers were expensive, the purified water at various stations throughout the park was free.
Public transportation from the suburbs & back on Philadelphia’s Regional trains was free for anyone who stepped foot on board. Philadelphia did an excellent job hosting the NFL Draft outdoors on the parkway.
Not only did it turn out successful, but it also allowed the NFL to break attendance records for the NFL Draft as various people were moved in & out of the seating area for a chance to witness the draft up close. Check out more video, pics, & thoughts from the Jayforce.com sports crew about the experience below…..
‘Close Range’ With Ray Allen (Documentary)
Very interesting tidbit from Ray’s wife in there: What do the ultimate competitors do when they retire? That fire has to go into something. Fortunately for the NBA ultimate shooter, Ray Allen is a golfer… with some competitive pro-athlete retirees that golf. GQ covers that and much more in such a short docu-series episode.
Ray Allen is a living legend. He’s a ten-time NBA All-Star who has won two championships, in 2008 with the Boston Celtics and 2013 with the Miami Heat. He holds the NBA’s record for most three-pointers made, with 2,973 buckets. Since his retirement in 2016, Ray has shifted his focus – to fatherhood, golf, and an organic fast-food restaurant. Take a look into the life of a champion, and his obsession with greatness.

When you really know people, you know what they are into. So get to know DeMar DeRozan. Beyond the skills. Some baller stuff in his list, but some realness in there as well. Good clip.
Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan gives us a rundown of his favorite things.
She calls it ‘pizza’… that’s sweet. Daddies, hug your daughters.
Comedy: Who Wins When Jimmy Fallon Lip Sync Battles Shaquille O’Neal? (Video)
We all win!
Okay, so you read the title and you think: Shaq used to rap and he was always clowning during NBA All-Star Weekend game intros and hamming it up for the crowds… AND Fallon has done tons of musical fun stuff on his show. Ought to be pretty entertaining. And you’d be absolutely RIGHT!
Jimmy faces off with Shaquille O’Neal, with a surprise appearance by Pitbull, in a hilarious lip sync-off to songs like Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative,” Ariana Grande and John Legend’s “Beauty and the Beast” and House of Pain’s “Jump Around.”
So, surprise: Pitbull! But what most of us probably perpetually underestimate is just how far and fast Jimmy will ‘go there’ to get laughs and wows from the audience. Case in point, this clip. Hahaaaa!

Former NBA Player Kenny Anderson’s New Documentary Film “Mr. Chibbs” (Trailer)
One of the best pure point guards in the NBA.
That’s Kenny Anderson. And that’s a hell of an intro for a basketball player… drunk driving, womanizing, babymaking machine. And balancing it all, reflecting on and coming to grips with it all, and the journey forward as a sober, responsible man and father… ought to make for one hell of a documentary.
Yep. Call the movie “Mr Chibbs.” Looks like a slam dunk for a must watch.
‘Ride Along’ with NBA Icon & Former Philadelphia 76’er Julius ‘Dr J.’ Erving (Video)
Yooooo! Two of the hoop game’s greatest getting to the pawing, furious with the fisticuff stuff, on the floor back in the day. Different kind of b-ball Hall Of Fame moment to be certain!
We met up with Julius Erving at All-Star Weekend to discuss the ABA, his infamous fight with Larry Bird and the evolution of dunking from the free throw line.
Plus we get Dr. J speaking about ‘The Rucker.’ Good interview. All that and a pair of Converse. Philly!
Charles Oakley Can Stand The Heat, So He Is In The Kitchen (Video)
Peep game… Soon enough, Charles Oakley is gonna be ‘holding court’ in the kitchen! And it’s looking like opponents won’t wanna mess with him there either. Haaa!
No ‘rough stuff’ per se. And the above video is just a rough cut for an old trailer that hints at what is to come. Who new Oak – the former NBA bruiser baller turned courtside cusser – had such flair, debonair (shooting his shot at the Honey next to him) and skills with the whisk and grill? Oh, and in case you were wondering why Oakley would want to cook instead of hire someone for that…
A lot of people don’t like to cook it the way you asked. You have it on the menu, and you say you want it one way, but a lot of chefs do it the way they want to do it. They get it wrong. I’m not mad at them, but when you wait 20, 30 minutes and it’s not right, a lot of times that’s disrespectful to me. When I cook, 95% of the time I know my food is gonna come out great.
– Charles Oakley
For now, the title of the series being pitched is “Oak In The Kitchen,” and scenes for a demo reel to show to networks were filmed over the summer at the New Jersey home of Golden Era emcee Masta Ace and his wife (Leschea). All that throwback flavor involved for a potential cooking show. Nice! Hope it ‘pans’ out (grrrroan).
