So…Copenhagen (Denmark) produced this baby boy who would grow to be a dope producer Kriswontwo would drop a double-single bundle, featuring some of our fav artists, along with a full-length album “Ceremoni” this week.
Okay, we skipped a bunch of steps.
But check out his double-single bundle and album. For the Hip-Hop heads, there’s “Elevations”… Neo Soul/R&B enthusiasts should listen to “Life Force” ASAP. Make no mistake though, both of these tracks are tight.

Memories. Good to hear DJ Soul (ha, going with the throwback handle) still doing the damn the right damn way… just like did when he was running the WVUA-FM Wide World Of Hip-Hop back in the guts of the Golden Era. Soul sent me a CD y’all. Fortunately, he included a link to the mix online, so he went new school enough for me to share with y’all. Up with the tech, but still…

Yeah, well, Mélat sorta did that to this; but it seems like she did something more to this Robbie Anthem-produced “Brand New Money” jawn. She was clutch on it. Before Michael Jackson split from his band of brothers, and for a while after, the music world (and the world at large) was constantly asking ‘Who would be the next Jackson 5?’ The answer at one time would have definitely been DeBarge. But right when they were right there as a family, something… a lot of things, actually… went terribly wrong. The large family from Grand Rapids (Michigan, USA) had it all in the 1980s – the looks, the sound, the fans, growing fame worldwide. But then things took a sadly familiar downturn that comes with having it all (way past enough). Industry and social pressures, addictions and more… caused them to lose the most important thing – each other. After that – the split – came bigger and harder losses.
