Science Fiction (Sci-Fi)
Tomorrowland (Trailer)
You wanted to see “Tomorrowland”… Well here it comes!
Yep, it’s coming alright (to the silver screen on May 22, 2015). Looks like Disney has taken all its Marvel Universe movie and TV-making powers, combined them with the adept storytelling already possessed (and learned on producing TV like ‘Once Upon A Time’) and crammed it into yet another late spring / early summer blockbuster. Whew! Combine this robot-fighting near-future set fantasy and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” dropping just weeks earlier; and you understand what a beast mode big screen juggernaut Disney is. Not hurting the effort, at all, is major major Hollywood A-list talent (George Clooney) jumping on the scale with all his weight; giving serious effort to what looks to be an epic rock’em sock’em watching experience! Dollar up for the big bucket of popcorn, extra butter, super-duper sodas and whatnot… and the iMax experience… for this one. Then strap in, as Casey (Britt Robertson) and Frank (Clooney) go all in; taking on killer robots as they take you to “Tomorrowland” (trailer above)!
Featuring a screenplay by “Lost†writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, from a story by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen, “Tomorrowland†promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of.
The film also stars Hugh Laurie as brilliant scientist David Nix, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson.
All that, too?? Yeah, this looks goooood.
The KURATAS Mechanized Suit Will Let You Live Out Your Sci-Fi Battle Fantasies For Only $1 Million (Video)
Why? Why? WHYYYY don’t you have a million bucks laying around so we can buy the KURATAS suit? Designed in 2012 so anyone can pilot it, the suit runs on diesel and has a top speed of 10 kilometers per hour. AND it has lots of “weapons,” automatic alignment targeting; even a machine gun with a “smile shot” feature.
Careful while enjoying. Too much grinning can be dangerous in this thing… BUT… imagine all the Gundam, Transformer, Toonami play this would get…
Man. For only a million dollars… and a lifetime pass to DragonCon.
CHAPPIE (Trailer)
In theaters March 6, 2015.
Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there’s one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.
EX Machina (Trailer)
In theaters April 15, 2015.
“Do you think I’ll be switched off?”
“It isn’t up to me.”
“Why should it be up to anyone?”
Daaaamn folks. Now that’s good script dialog.
“EX Machina” is an intense psychological thriller starring Domhnall Gleeson. As Caleb, a 24 year old programmer at the world’s largest Internet company, he wins a competition to spend a week with the company’s reclusive CEO, Nathan (played by Oscar Isaac). Caleb arrives to find the boss playing God at his retreat. His Eve, the world’s first true artificial intelligence, is a robot woman named Ava (played Alicia Vikander). Welcome to Eden, Adam Caleb.
It’s about to get… Do you think Nathan or Caleb ever… with Ava…? Wowwww. And what if she… Watch the trailer! This should be really good.
Terminator: Genisys (Trailer)
The Terminator sequels continue with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but with a new cast of individuals to take up the roles of Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) & Reese (Jai Courtney). Directed by Alan Taylor, the film also stars Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee, & JK Simmons. In this particular Terminator film the timeline of events in the original story has been altered due to a decision by Sarah that alters the course of time as the war continues. Not sure how this particular Terminator film will pan out, but we’ll see once it hits theaters this summer on July 1, 2015.

Science: Long Distance Telepathy? Harvard Has Made It Happen!
Oh no they didn’t. Well… apparently they did. Talk about being in somebody’s business. Harvard scientists had people in each others’ heads… thousands of miles apart!
Scientists have sent a mental message from one person to another 4,000 miles away in the world’s first successful telepathy experiment. They connected one person in India to a sensitive headset linked to the internet and another to a similar device in Paris. When the first person thought of a simple greeting like “Helloâ€, the recipient in France was aware of the thought. The subject receiving the message could not see the word itself but could correctly report flashes of light in peripheral vision that corresponded to the exact moment the word “Hello†was thought.
The ground-breaking experiment, after 10 years’ work on the subject, was carried out by a team lead by scientists from America’s Harvard University.

Iron Man Fan Creates A Life-Size & Wearable Suit [Video]
A life-size Iron Man suit with eyes that light up like in the movies? Go on…
Welsh hobbyist (and uber-Iron Man fan) Peter Mitchell, used his engineering skills to construct something quite remarkable.
Totaling about £450 (about $760 US) in materials, Mitchell admits that due to hours (about a year’s worth) of hard work it took to create the suit, a real cost estimate would be a huge challenge to produce. Let’s call it priceless, and let that hardworking man have his moment.
Interstellar (Trailer)
Murphy’s Law doesn’t mean something bad will happen. It means whatever can happen will happen.
A sci-fi movie trailer teased by the man who brought The Dark Knight (Christopher Nolan) himself, at a Comic Con that had already teased a new ‘Batman’ in a movie… yeah, that happened. But this November. Woooo! “Interstellar” travel will be here (in theaters)! The trailer is awesome. The casting looks spot on to tell the epic tale it teases. Prediction: Extreme dopeness ahead! Had to load this post with so many snaps after the jump. So much visual excellence. Watch above.
Mad Max: Fury Road (Trailer)
Yooooooo! A lot of cinematic heat to warm the hearts and nether regions of every geek got leaked at this year’s Comic Con. Not the least of anticipated releases, “Mad Max: Fury Road” (yeah, the 20th century post-apocalyptic action thriller gets the 21st century treatment). Check that out above. And, if you’re a greedy-greedy (geek haha!)… get a lot more leakage and on-site insight from the linked site below.

Both eyes on the viewer above; play and watch. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sci-Fi/Technology: Colin Furze Make His Own ‘Wolverine Claws’ (Video)
Apparently, Colin Furze is this edgy do-it-yourselfer who puts out videos. ‘So, what makes him so different’ is what you’re asking, right? F##K THAT! Dude made his own Wolverine claws!!! They pop out, slash, retract…everything!
The first ever fully automatic wolverine claws that deploy AND retact automaticlly. These beuatiful 12″ stainless steel claws fire out at the touch of a button and bring me as close as anyone has to feeling like they have adamantium claws. I think these are best on the net so hope you like em.

Dopeness! Watch and ‘Marvel’ at it. Cool thing is, Colin is promising more X-Men themed DIY vids!

Godzilla (Asia Trailer)
If you are in the States (and are interested), trailers for the latest ‘Godzilla’ movie have caught your eye by now. But y’all know, Asia is home to the big lizard. Let’s look at the look (e.g. preview) our neighbors across the Pacific are getting in promo video.
X-Men: Days of Future Past (Trailer)
Professor X (Patrick Stewart) gets to meet young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) in this one. That’d be enough, right? But the trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past is LOADED with story and character to spare… Wolverine traveling back in time, sort of introducing the modern era X-Men to the sequel’s (1960s-era set of X-Men: First Class) people. Young Mystique, young Magneto, seasoned Magneto … and Storm (yeah, Halle is on board). Director Bryan Singer is bringing it – May 23, 2014.
Oh, and remember Trask Industries’ commercial that we posted a good while back? Yessir… WE HAVE SENTINELS IN THIS MOVIE!! Watch the trailer.
Godzilla (International Film Trailer)
It’s big & it’s coming to SMASH into theaters May 16th. It’s the return of what is arguably the most iconic monster in the history of film. The return of Godzilla. There’s not much more that’s revealed involving the plot & storyline to this movie reboot other than it’s implied that Godzilla could quite possibly be tangling against a number of other monsters that may have been created due to man’s arrogance & scientific ignorance.
“An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.” – Legendary Pictures (Godzilla 2014)
Transformers: Age Of Extinction (Official Trailer)
After a couple of shorter trailers leading up to the Super Bowl, director Michael Bay & the makers of the fourth installment of the Transformers films give us more of the premise & of what we can expect when the new sequel hits theaters this summer. After viewing this trailer it appears this could be the darkest sequel of the Transformers movies that have up to this point grossed close to $3 billion dollars worldwide. Not only does the film appear to be grittier, but the fans will not find former lead actor Shia LaBeouf in the lead role in this one although producers have easily found a suitable replacement.
Mark Wahlberg plays a struggling mechanic trying to make ends meet to support his family when he makes a discovery in search for scrap auto parts. It turns out that one of the beat up vehicles he finds turns out to be Optimus Prime. There’s not much else given away in the storyline between the Autobots, Decepticons, & the adversarial government forces but from the trailer it’s clear the popular ‘Dinobots’ from the cartoon series will surface in the film. I’m looking forward to it when the film hits theaters June 27th.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Super Bowl Trailer)
Marvel’s first Avenger returns this April 4th in ‘Captain America: The Winter Solder’. Chris Evans continues the lead role as Captain America, while actor Anthony Mackie makes his Marvel debut as ‘The Falcon’. A few notables from the Avengers movie also bleed into this film as Samuel L. Jackson is featured as well as the beautiful Scarlett Johansson who reprises her role as Natasha Romanoff aka The Black Widow. The new film picks up in Washington D.C. following the cataclysmic events that played out in New York during The Avengers movie with Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, trying to adjust to the modern world. Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of their new ally, ‘the Falcon’ to battle against an unexpected and formidable enemy-the Winter Soldier. This looks like it’s going to be good.
Transformers: Age Of Extinction (Super Bowl Trailer)
The Transformer’s franchise continues as Mark Wahlberg takes the lead character spot in upcoming film due in theaters June 2014. The Super Bowl last night offered a small sneak peak of what’s to come.
