I Wayne’s now classic “Can’t Satisfy Her” & “Living In Love” are two of his joints that I never get tired of hearing. Those were two big hit tunes that crossed over into many mainstream urban clubs & also launched him into international stardom. Despite some of the critical success of his debut album Lava Ground, I Wayne hasn’t done a gang of interviews with the media that I feel could have catapulted him a little farther. His publicity & interviews seemed very limited even for a reggae artist with a hit that was crossing over. This documentary comes at a good time with I Wayne’s third album ‘Life Teachings’ that just dropped in October.

Very anticipated interview with Khago and he did not hold back to answer the questions submitted by the fans from as far as Gambia to Kenya, UK to USA. We speak on him being underrated by many people in the music industry, even in Jamaica and then about him singing more music for females even if he does not actually pen the lyrics himself. We speak on his Reggae Sumfest performance in Jamaica and also when Beenie Man called him out on stage in New York City during the ‘Reggae Rhythm & Blues‘.
We talk about his song ‘Tun Up D Ting‘ on the Overproof Riddim, one of the hottest dancehall riddims of the Summer 2011 produced by Justus.

His current album ‘7 Year Itch‘ and the most recent single ‘No Lipstick‘ are both doing very well internationally. We continue to ask about the messages of LOVE in his lyrics, working with his band IndiggNation, giving young artists a chance to grow and the proper pace for the release of projects. This tells a simple story from the chorus, ‘She puts her lips to my blunt and kiss it’ very clever without being explicit. This single is from the 7 Year Itch album released early this year and is another banger for all crews and was the first single off the CY SUMMER REGGAE promo mixtape.

Sizzla & Bambas Dois – ‘Only Jah Love (Raggatu)’ (Video)

The Jamaican & Brazilian worlds meet when Sizzla Kalonji & a few Brazilian producers collaborate over this “Only Jah Love (Raggatu)” song. The song is a part of the Bambas Dois compilation spearheaded by Brazilian producer Bidlovski who traveled to Jamaica with some comrades armed with a gang of tracks to match with Jamaican artists. The result was the Bambas Dois compilation & ‘Only Jah Love (Raggatu)’ is the first single to get the video blessing.

This weekend in Atlanta we got a chance to pass thru the listening Party for Laza Morgan, a mixtape project hosted by DJ Kash. It was good to see various promoters, DJ Baby Yu, King AP, John Wayne, DJ Juggla, Jah Lion, DJ Shane and other selectors there to show unity in Caribbean Music Community.
Also in attendance was V103 radio host Osei the Dark Secret, Morgan Heritage extended family, Denroy Morgan, Gramps Morgan and several other sibblings/family.

We hear about him working with Sean Paul, Stephen & Damian Marley, and how younger producers also help him to promote more diversity as a vocalist. I gotta give credit to Jimmy Fallon because he had Ziggy Marley perform ‘Forward To Love’ on his show a couple times so know i get a chance to interview him. One question we’re gonna ask is him is ‘Why DEA is Against Legalizing Smoked Marijuana? (YUPP)
Following the interview with his brother Stephen Marley, we now catch up with another son of the legendary Robert ‘Bob’ Marley on the Sunsplash Mix Show. This radio show dedicated to introduce the Atlanta audience to new Reggae and Dancehall music plus a steady stream of artist interviews.
We’re gonna ask him about his new album ‘Wild and Free’ and tour dates across the globe including Japan, USA and Europe when he bumped into Chuck D original Public Enemy in switzerland at the open air hip hop festival.
