R&B Rewind: Horace Brown – ‘Things We Do For Love’
When Wu-Tang’s slick lyricist Raekwon dropped his ill ‘Stop Trippin’ freestyle over R&B singer Horace Brown’s album track ‘Trippin’ that we posted yesterday, it made me feel like going back & listening to a few other hot singles the Charlotte, North Carolina singer dropped back in the 90s. The 90’s was a great period for black music in general & Horace Brown had some dope ass gems with ‘Things We Do For Love’, “Taste Your Love”, & of course the very popular ‘One For The Money’. If you lived through that period in the 90s like I did I want you watch these joints to reminisce with me. If you’re just a little too young to know any better all you have to do is just pay attention & know that I’m putting you onto something dope. Check out the rest below….

R&B: Marsha Ambrosius – “Stronger” featuring Dr. Dre
It’s like Sade over a souped Jeru loop peppered with some West Coast flow. Yeah. It’s exactly like that! Soulful harmonies from Marsha Ambrosius on “Stronger†(featuring Dr. Dre) off her forthcoming “Friends & Lovers” album.
R&B: Usher – “Good Kisser” feat. Vado (Ted Smooth Remix)

Vinyl Destination | Ep. 12 ‘The Silent Disco’ On Season 2 With The Magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff (Video)
Episode 12… something familiar about it… Oh! On this ep Jeff and the crew jump the big pond from LA to the UK to do a surprise show on the Graham Norton Show. London with DJ Jazzy Jeff putting the perfect spin on a performance by… longtime partner Will Smith! We posted the surprise treat they gave the crowd there here.
There is much more – LA to London to Vegas in record time. And they their way to Tennessee. Some true southern fried chicken plates?
And now Dayne Jordan is embedded with the crew? Cool, cool.
And … WTF … a ‘Silent Disco’? %Party I’m in! Where are my headphones? That looked like mad fun! So much wildin’ and little time for rest. But enough of my jibba-jabba, ride out to Vinyl Destination above!

Since the days of way back with Blackstreet, soul man Dave Hollister has been a slow grind go-to (ah…caught you in a grown folk party flashback just the then…haaaa)! This “Spend The Night” might stir familiar feelings. And if what you feel is new to you, let it happen young’n… Let it happen. Hopefully, you find someone to make it happen with.

R&B: Tiaan – “Black Cars”
Australian by way of Los Angeles (California, USA) singer/songwriter Tiaan goes soultry (soulful + sultry) with her single “Black Cars.” Shout to SoulBounce for the scoop. Tiaan’s style is, by her declaration, a modern day Aaliyah… with some hints of Jhene Aiko in there, too.
R&B: Amerie – “What I Want” (Video)
Alright, Amerie. Singing ’bout “What I Want”… it works both ways though, baby *wink*
There’s a warning at the start of the video in case mad psychedelic quick-changing imagery is a trigger for worsening any watcher’s condition (i.e. may cause seizures to sensitive viewers). But warning to the sexy Amerie: Harmonizing to that ‘Jump On It’ beat … a subliminal tease.
Upbeat song presented with high energy visuals. Check it out.
R&B: Mack Wilds – “My Crib” (Video)
Got another Mack Wilds post for y’all. And no, it’s not another “Henny” remix (dope though they may be). This is a video for “My Crib” off “New York: A Love Story.”The video depicts Mack macking a major honey. Sure they could meet up and do a simple ferry date; but why not skip that and get away from it all, baby. Come through. “My Crib” … that’s the real spot for us to chill. Smooth.

R&B: Rochelle Jordan – “Lowkey” (Produced By KLSH)
Sexy, sexy. Rochelle Jordan is expert at relating stories of special friendships (read: love) in life on a track. “Lowkey” is her words, over KLSH music. Very nice.
