R&B
R&B: Kat DeLuna – “Bum Bum” feat. Trey Songz (Video)
Haaa! Listen. Did you catch that? She sampled Sister Nancy’s reggae classic “Bam Bam” in there. Dope!
And on top of that… she said you can get that “Bum Bum” every hour. Ohhhh wowwww! The level of sexy in this video is beyond compare. No doubt that Kat DeLuna’s “Bum Bum” is bang banging. So’s the song (featuring Trey Songz).
Robert Glasper – “So Beautiful†(Live At Capitol Studios) [Video]
One of my favorite songs by Musiq Soulchild gets redone by the equally as dope Robert Glasper. Another cover – “So Beautiful” for the “Covered” album (out now). Nice drop from Musiq at the end, too.

R&B: BOSCO – “Boy” (FreEP Stream)
Sure, we provided a link to get that new “Boy” EP from BOSCO in the earlier “Gold Ghost” post. But how cool would it be to hear the whole thing before you copped. Well, we got your cool right here. Stream above. And we re-linked to download link below.
Vinyl Destination | “DJ’s In Paris†With The Magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff (Video)
DJ Jazzy Jeff with another Vinyl Destination episode, DJ’s In Paris going hard all across Europe. Top highlights? Number one’s GOTTA be DJ Ferno taking in the first-time-in-Paris experience with childlike wonder. Follow that IMMEDIATELY with Rich Medina talking with the crew right after the Paris leg, just before catching a train to Amsterdam for a break. That’s two. Round out the top three with Jeff’s closing comments about his back-to-nature themed room. Hilarious!
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Vinyl Destination crew end a 10 show, 10 day run in Paris. It’s DJ Ferno’s first time in the City of Lights, so he explores the city and takes in some sights. After a few verses of “Mama I Made It,†it’s off to the gig. Jeff has a show with a dear friend, Rich Medina. The next stop is Amsterdam. With Rich joining the fun, the guys share some valuable information that makes him rethink his phone service. Feeling refreshed after some much-needed time off, the crew gets back in full gear with shows in Dresden, Germany, Warington, England and Oslo, Norway. Along the way, “Tickle me Ferno†emerges and Jeff finds out a tree grows in his hotel room.
Work hard. Party hard. Sure. But when you DJ, the party’s where you are – the Vinyl Destination (boom)!

Joanna Teters Speaks On Her Band ‘Mad Satta’ & Their Performance During The Atlanta Jazz Festival (Video)
The 38th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival went down Memorial Day Weekend 2015 from historical Piedmont Park. 3 days of great music with talented artists from all over the US and the World performing for thousands of Jazz fans here in Atlanta, GA. The opening night had only two acts the headliner Thundercat and the opening act Mad Satta. If you are not familiar with Mad Satta they are a group out of NYC that have horns, keyboard, and bass players and a front lady named Joanna Teters on vocals. They made their Atlanta debut and immediately had the crowd’s attention with their soulful original music. They also did a classic Curtis Mayfield cover of “The Makings of You” that had the crowd asking to know more about them. Well if you didn’t make their performance no worries the video below has live footage from their show along with an interview by ArtByOdell with Joanna Teters.
Learn more about them at MadSatta.com

R&B/Soul: Jesse Boykins III – “Wonder Years” (Prod. By ThroughWhose) [Video]
“Love Apparatus” is out now. This single off it, “Wonder Years,” wouldn’t need anything to really put it over as solid R&B. However, this video concept… a wonderful touch. “Wonder Years” – already makes you think about the TV show and gets you thinking about bank-in-the-day; perhaps about what was and could’ve been, right? And that’s just the title! Click play and listen; and enjoy the vids and stills combined and blurred purposely at times to add further to the nostalgia effect of it all. Linked the album below, too.
Created by Jesse Boykins III, Julian Schratter, Fans & Friends.
