Keith Olbermann With A Way To Corner President Trump In The Oval Office: Let’s Go To The Tapes (Video)
Damn. Keith highlights a good point on this episode of ‘The Resistance.’ If the tape or tapes that can clear President Trump of former FBI Director James Comey exist, investigators should demand them. And they better prove Trump’s innocence of EVERY allegation; because if he is proven guilty of even one Comey accusation in the recordings… he’s OUT of the White House.
By casually raising the idea he’s got tapes, Donald Trump has found new trouble.
– GQ
Plus, by now, Trump cannot simply claim the tweet about the tapes was in ‘error’ nor can he deny their existence. Well, he can. Because, you know, The Donald. But he should not be allowed to do that.

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox With A Message For Donald J. Trump (Video)
Amigo, you have a ton of flaws…
– Vicente Fox
(Imagine opening a battle rap with that line. Ha!)
Okay, SNL is still the champ of President Trump roasting, but yoooo… this Super Deluxe video starring former Mexican President Vicente Fox though. Bahahaaaaa!
Dear Donald J. Trump: Former Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada has an important message for you.

Shaquille O’Neal Says He Is Running For Sheriff In 2020 (Video)
Heeee’s Shaq The Sheriff… and who will be the dep-u-ty?
(Sing it like, “I Shot The Sheriff,” and it’ll make sense. Maybe.)
This is about bringing people closer together. You know, when I was coming up, people love and respected the police, the deputies. And I want to be the one to bring that back, especially in the community I serve.
– Shaquille O’Neal
Hmmm… Shaq has homes in Florida and Georgia (right here with us in Metro Atlanta). He’s been a deputy (honorary, but still) and even ‘policed’ Kevin Hart on ‘Real House Husbands’… soooo, like, he’s qualified sort of? Go on and watch. You know you are interested!
Politics: Follow the Money… It May Well Connect Russia To President Trump
Keith Olbermann says, “Follow the money,” a LOT in this episode of “The Resistance”… and it’s okay, because it has apparently ben said by EVERYONE except who we think (e.g. credit) as the person who actually said it first. To the point Olbermann is trying to make above, folks who want to get to the bottom of what Trump is up to might do well to heed those words. Here’s Olbermann’s latest rant and his reasoned path to his conclusion about probable Russian collusion (with Trump’s campaign on his Presidential win).

The ‘Bernie Commercial’ That Would Have Won The Election (Video)
Sure, Jimmy Dore is a comedian, but this ‘Bernie’ ad right here… right here??? Shiiiid, nothing funny about it. This is sould-stirring stuff! Just wish someone would have culled together footage and presented it like this BEFORE the Democratic Primary election.
Then again, who is to say it would have changed the outcome. Did Democrats and other primary voters who backed Hilary Clinton over Bernie Sanders really evaluate both candidates on the points made for Bernie in the ‘ad’ above? Probably not. They probably thought Hilary was more ‘electable’ no matter what Bernie points were made (or could have been made)… that she could ‘beat’ The Donald.
And we all know how that turned out. Ah well, we still #FeelTheBern
However, we will not waste another I-Told-You-So on the subject. Just watch. This is incredible and so on point!
Hasan Minhaj (Of The Daily Show) Gives An Roast Epic Speech At The White House Correspondents’ Dinner (Video)
Ohhhhhh shhhheeeeeeeiiiit! I wanted to categorize this as comedy, but this is more. This is even more biting than mere satire; plenty of BITE. Don Rickles (RIP) level roasting of an entire room AND of The President… you know, at the WHITE HOUSE Correspondents’ event that they have EVERY year.
Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj took full advantage of Donald Trump’s absence by taking aim at The President and his administration during his monologue at the White House Correspondents’ dinner.
– Global News
I’m sure it was on his calendar. But hell, I cannot blame him. Some of this sh!t BURNED, but it seems like everyone took it in stride. And I do mean everyone, because ‘The Daily Show’ Correspondent Hasan Minhaj gave a taste to EVERYONE: Not just the POTUS, but key officials in his Administration, with shots for Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, even C-SPAN (who broadcasts the event annually)!
You HAVE to watch, but strap up and sack up. Hasan is hella funny, but his speech hits hella HARD! Whew.

Politics: Scientists Are Running For Public Office (Video)
Yoooo! When Bill Nye said, ‘Science is political,’ he must have meant for us to take that LITERALLY! Scientists are running for office folks. They are not just sitting by as politicians try to roll back protections for the environment and wage a ‘war on facts’… they are fighting back… with the ballot! Leadership from the scientific community. Cool!
Awake, A Dream From Standing Rock (Extended Trailer)
The fight is still on, just not on your TV any more. Like most relevant revolutions… not televised. So what are the Sioux still beefing about over there? Pipelines for certain. But “Awake” goes deeper; telling the story of Native-led defiance that forever changed the fight for clean water, the environment and the future of the planet. You know, ‘trivial’ pursuits like that.
Guess this is not worth the mainstream (or those who say they are not mainstream) media’s air time, huh? Good thing for this documentary.
The Assassination Of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr (Documentary)
“Martin Luther King, Jr. was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader of the African-American civil rights movement and Nobel Peace Prize laureate who became known for his advancement of civil rights by using civil disobedience. He was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968, at the age of 39. King was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:05PM that evening. The King family and others believe that the assassination was carried out by a conspiracy involving the US government, as alleged by Loyd Jowers in 1993, and that James Earl Ray was a scapegoat. In a 1999 civil trial that did not name the US government as a defendant and sought $100 from Jowers, with both the family and Jowers cooperating together and the only presenting parties, the jury ruled against Jowers and Unidentified Conspirators”
Rewind: Judge Joe Brown Says James Earl Ray Didn’t Assassinate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr (Video)
It’s been almost 50 years to this date, April 4th, that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was assassinated in Memphis Tennessee. Judge Joe Brown was the last judge to preside over alleged shooter, James Earl Ray’s case. To this very day Judge Joe Brown still believes “he didn’t kill him.” Judge Joe Brown says he didn’t believe Ray was the gunman despite his guilty plea. Joe Brown denied that he was involved in Dr. King’s murder but plead guilty because he felt it was in his best interest under the circumstances given.
Stafford Battle – “MLK Mix”
Who really killed Dr. Martin Luther King? Who did it?!
Smooth with the undeniable roughness. Call for justice from Stafford Battle in the form of a battle hymn. Powerful song singing to the hearts of those who seek righteousness; especially those who can stand the heat, stay in the kitchen, AND stir the pot. And look, Dr. Cynthia McKinney, the firebrand politician and activist is definitely on board!
Have you heard ‘MLK Mix’ by Stafford Battle on #SoundCloud? This song is an absolute "must-hear." Still need justice.https://t.co/uTY2RRTXC2

Lots of revelations and little discussed facts in here, too.
Black Women’s Defense League (Video)
Something about that U.S. Army Oath Of Allegiance comes to mind: ‘support and defend… against all enemies foreign and domestic.’ The documentary above starts off getting right into the range of threats posed to the Black woman by a myria of factions, all the way down to Black men. In the tradition of the Black Panthers, and holding to their radical activist philosophical underpinnings in many ways, the Black Women’s Defense League (BWDL) is all about Black women fighting against the oppressor for each other.
VICE’s Wilbert L. Cooper meets the Black Women’s Defense League, a Dallas-based womanist organization notable for its pro-gun stance. As he follows them from their political education classes to their firearms training, he sees how they fight against White supremacy and patriarchal violence.
On ‘support and defend’… These sistas are definitely doing community education, empowerment and nutrition programs the Panthers intiated and implemented. But note the use of the word ‘many’ when it comes to what Pather traditions BWDL will support and defend… Founder Neicy X says that, unlike in the past, BWDL is NOT toeing the line for ‘the cause’ so far that it even compromises the liberty of women – like not standing against the abuse of their mates. No! ANY enemy, including an abusive husband/mate/relative, can catch a bad one!
Interesting viewpoints – about the right to self-defense, gun ownership (and the U.S.’s racist historical stance against Black ownership) and the inherent dangers, how some see women with guns as sexy (which BWDL does not mind, but stresses that the guns ‘are for USE’) and more – shared in this VICE short documentary.
How An 80s Arnold Schwarzenegger Film Predicted Our Future (Video)
First, it was NOT “Terminator”… That isn’t the film; not yet.
When Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi film The Running Man first premiered in 1987, it presented a dark vision of the US in the year 2017: economically depressed, ruled by the military, and obsessed with a reality TV show. It seemed far-fetched at the time, even to its creators. But on the eve of reality TV-star-turned President Donald Trump’s inauguration, it seems more timely and plausible than ever. Watch all the parallels between this retro sci-fi film and reality in our inaugural episode of Future Shock.
– VICE Motherboard
Good start for VICE’s newest Motherboard series: Future Shock. Somehow you always knew Schwarzenegger would figure into the future somehow. Actually, even more chilling than the idea of an unstoppable time-traveling murder-bot… that part in Sly Stallone’s “Demolition Man” where they talked about President Schwarzenegger (whew)!
Of course, we might come to wish for that. We’ll see…
Chance The Rapper Speaks On His Frustration Over Chicago Public School Funding (Video)
Chance The Rapper clip above; saying he was feeling a kind of way (not the good kind either) after his conversation with the Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner about funding from Chicago Public Schools. Chance is not the first in Hip-Hop to go hard for his hometown, for the kids & community; but the occasion is still too rare among folks with the bully pulpit and the bucks in our culture. And if you peep after the jump, you will see that Chance is putting his money on the table… even as the Governor and his ilk are taking money ($215 million) off it.
Salute to Chance The Rapper. He put up. Hope he doesn’t shut up until the state does right and puts some bread up, too!

Listen To Cam’ron: If You Know What President Trump Is Up To… You Must SNITCH! (Video)
Hilarious! Wow, how’s Cam’ron REALLY feeling? Mr. No Snitchin’ says that everybody and anybody has a DUTY to snitch on President Trump. CIA. Even the First Lady. Gotta tell us what The Donald is up to in the White House, Watch him speak on it on ‘The Daily Show’ #SnitchesGetRiches
Rapper Cam’ron believes that members of the Trump administration have a civic duty to leak information about White House dysfunction.
Look! ‘The President’ Is Reading His Next Batch Of Executive Orders (Video)
Hahaa! Jon Stewart is a FOOL and a half!
Well, no doubt, you’ve heard that President Trump has gotten more accomplished than any other President in history… from Trump… And he did it via executive orders. How appropriate that Colbert had ‘The Donald’ (well, an unreasonable facsimile) to let The Late Show audience in on a batch of ‘special’ executive orders.
Friend of the show Jon Stewart stops by to give Stephen a sneak peek at some executive orders he borrowed off the President’s desk.
