Yep. Rosanne is making a run for the White House for real. She is seriously on the campaign trail, and why, even at first glance, is that any more ridiculous than a Trump 2016 run?
Follow comedy legend Roseanne Barr as she embarks on a wild, hilarious, and impassioned campaign for the highest office in the land. It’s 2012 and Barr, fed up with corporate influence in politics, takes matters into her own hands when she launches a third-party Presidential bid founded on grassroots activism. Hitting the campaign trail, the sarcastic, opinionated, and outspoken Barr makes for a candidate unlike any other as she brings her message to the people. Featuring appearances from Michael Moore, Sandra Bernhard, Rosie O’Donnell, and others close to Barr, Roseanne for President! is both a rousing David vs. Goliath tale and a revealing portrait of a cultural icon.

As usual, VICE asks the toughest questions: Does the gang involved in the Rob Ford crack scandal actually exist? There is a neighborhood called Dixon. Truth. In 2013, police raided the area; alleging that a street gang called the “Dixon City Bloods” was responsible for crack and gun operations across southern Ontario. Facts. Several alleged gang members appeared in a photo with the former Toronto mayor, and the group released video that ignited his notorious crack scandal. And here we are…
But where are we for real? Can the gun violence, gang activity, street players’ moves, and media and police reports actually tie together in a substantial way; one that signifies a true criminal organization?

Check this short doc telling a different story behind the story of the development of the U.S. highway system. Sure you have to destroy to rebuild – a roadway to connect major cities, that allow fast traversal of the country in times of crisis – but we wouldn’t destroy neighborhoods to do it… not longstanding vibrant Black communities while preserving privileged White ones… on purpose… would we?

Lord Jamar is a VladTV mainstay, known to get live for the camera. Now, in front of a live audience on camera, you think he’s gonna change up? Um… the answer is heeelllllll no! Dude starts this clip even keel but goes raw soon enough.
Earlier this year Lord Jamar sat down for a VladTV interview in front of a live audience and he remembered back to a time in rap when it wasn’t cool to wear big chains or be flashy. The Brand Nubian rapper explained that he stopped wearing jewelry because he didn’t want to promote drug culture, adding, “We wanted to be on some positive s***.”
Later, the conversation shifts to politics, as Lord Jamar shares his thoughts on why he believes Hillary Clinton was promised a presidency back when the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal hit. Driving While Black in New Jersey (Documentary)

A new report from Seton Hall Law School Center for Policy & Research has found that in the majority-white municipality of Bloomfield, New Jersey, nearly 80 percent of traffic tickets are issued to African American and Latino drivers.
The report also found that most tickets were issued to non-resident minority drivers passing through town, suggesting a “de facto border patrol” policing policy is in effect.
The Bloomfield Police Department — which has begun collecting data on the race of drivers in traffic stops as of January 2016 — rejects the report’s findings.
VICE News reports on Seton Hall’s methodology and on the experience of minority drivers in Bloomfield.

Weed soda, chronic cookies and chocolates. Ah yes, sounds like some mighty tasty medicines those Canadians are getting a good dose of up there. New Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in a new cool, a breath of fresh… well hazy… air to the country’s marijuana legalization conversation. See VICE’s Damian Abraham get up there and get into the mix; taking his lumps and the ‘medicine’ to get the story on Canada’s weed dispensaries and candy shops.
Toronto is currently in a gray area in terms of its marijuana dispensary boom. Since Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was elected in 2015, promising to legalize weed, entrepreneurs have been illegally opening up shop all over the city. Although there’s no guarantee that Trudeau’s plan for legal marijuana will include storefront businesses, these operations are opening almost daily. While the shops specialize in selling weed for medical marijuana patients — more and more customers are coming through the doors of their local dispensary looking for marijuana edibles, which only a select number of federally regulated manufacturers are licensed to produce.

Real Time With Bill Maher: New Rule – Crass Warfare (Video)

Okaaaay, apparently Donald Trump has already engaged discourse with leaders beyond the U.S. border. Judging by Mexican President Vicente Fox’s reaction (a.k.a. the F-bomb heard around the world), Trump’s big ideas may not be ‘well-received.’ Truth is, The Donald has pushed political discourse stateside and worldwide too far. And as ‘President Maher‘ might proclaim, that sh!t needs to stop! But there’s no ‘New Rule’ against laughing at a little satire before it does.
In his editorial New Rule, Bill Maher takes viewers to a not-too-distant future where the crass language of the campaign trail makes its way into the Oval Office.
Think about it though. Those included clips are of candidate Trump speaking in public; cussing out loud at crowds. Just saying, maybe think about that on the way to the ballot box.
