Hmm. Did not know that Oprah brought this trend to light way back when it started. SUre wish the ladies did not feel like they need to risk their health and lives to get those bumps and humps we like. Please find those who love you just as you are ladies and rock with them. We cannot appreciate anything about that ‘new’ body if you are gone. Don’t give in to the pressure.
That said, I know it cannot be easy to live in a world where there is such social pressure to do what others (stars especially) already do to be more appealing. Watch this discussion on it whether you are thinking of doing something to your body or not, or know someone who might. Understanding is key.
In today’s social media society, Black women are faced with the pressure to be curvy. With the rise of the Kardashian Klan and the affordability of a Brazilian butt lift, the panel comes together to discuss the recent surge in plastic surgery amongst Black women. Can you go under the knife and still love yourself?

Bill Burr. I have followed him for a while. I know he can take it ‘there’ and beyond… Like he does in this interview. And I will admit to almost not posting this because Burr goes beyond. Then I saw a commenter note, “I really wish Patrice [O’Neal] was still around.”
Point made and taken. Patrice was right there with Bill on that ‘take it there’ (e.g. going super non-politically correct) level. And they both frequented Chappelle’s Show on Comedy Central back in the day… Hilarious!
