History: A Celebration Of Confederate Pride… In Brazil? (Video)
Sure, okay. The South lost the Civil War (oops, War Of Northern Aggression…whatev). BUT, did you know that by the end of the divisive North American war, there was still legal and thriving slavery farther south; as in South America. Specifically, in Brazil; where then Alabama Senator William Norris led a migration of over 10,000 Confederate loyalists to settle. The town was called Americana, of all things; truly an idyllic place for those slave-seeking settlers who came looking to pick up where they left off not-so-long-ago in The States…to live where things were still the way they should be for the most part.
How do we know? VICE is telling us so (above). Amazing [is one word for it]! Talk about a Deeper South version of Ol’ Dixie. Wow. Check it out. It’s the third story in this episode of Daily VICE.
Today on Daily VICE we head out on the road with legendary punk band Dillinger Four, give advice on how to make your booze taste better, search for buried treasure with deep-sea robots, and uncover the enduring Confederate pride of one Brazilian town.

FullyRawKristina: “Eating Healthy During the Holidays” [Video]
The Holidays are upon us and a big component of most holidays is the feasting that takes place. Big meals second plates, leftovers that get snacked on throughout the day. With Black Friday going into Christmas a lot of shopping will take place people purchasing high end items. The fact is your health is something that is priceless and should be taken very serious. FullyRawKristina is a vegan who promotes health, fitness, and eating real foods. I enjoy her videos and social media where she gives healthy alternatives. Now I am not expecting everyone to turn full vegan for the holidays but you can take some tips to help you eat better. The fact is in the U.S. there are many more unhealthy choices than healthy ones. So Kristina is challenging you to just eat one fully raw meal a day. Worth giving a try recently I started juicing and eating one raw meal a day. I can feel the difference so watch her fun video and hopefully it helps inspire you to make some healthy choices this Hoilday season. Visit her site FullyRaw.com for more tips, recipes, and details!

Odell’s Roundtable: Love, Sex, & “Cuffin’ Season” (Video)
On this episode of Odell’s RoundTable the topic is “Cuffing Season”. It is getting colder and people are going out less and want to snuggle up with someone. What goes in to cuffing season? Is this really a scenario where you are only dating someone for a Season rather than a Reason? Do you let the person you know that this is temporary and not to catch any feelings? What about you do you catch feelings or what happens if someone tells you this was only temporary? The panel consists of host Odell along with Alita, Brittany (from ATL Remix show) & guest BoxMann. Funny but informative discussion like always on the Round Table. Follow the show on Twitter/Instagram and email them at ortshow@gmail.com

Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo (Product Trailer)
Okay, Mercedes-Benz Vision is taking it literally. We posted about a Lambo you might try living with day-to-day, but how about a vehicle that is a ‘living room’ unto itself?
The #VisionToyko has reimagined the idea of car, turning it into the living space of the future. Watch the trailer: https://t.co/YisOTjarmV
— Mercedes-Benz (@MercedesBenz) November 2, 2015
Looks like it approaches a minivan or station-wagon design with a coupe’s style. The trailer above hints at a vehicle that can provide a rolling room apart from the hustle and bustle of busy, busy city life and traffic (as found in Tokyo).
Of course, we don’t get to see the inside for real. Rather, a concept with some futuristic 3-D playthings. And no, we won’t elaborate. Watch for yourself.
How Would You Like To Drive A 2015 Lamborghini Huracán… Every Day? (Video)
We posted on the Huracán before. Slick-looking ride. Likely a steep price tag, but still made us want and wonder. If only…
Yes it’s awesomely powerful, but one of the things that impressed me most was just how much more livable it had become over its predecessor. But would you really want to drive it every day?
He’s kidding right? Who wouldn’t want that problem? Well, reviewer Colum Wood does make a few points above that speak to sight lines and safety in dealing with traffic on the day-to-day commute. But figuring what I would be doing & earning for a living (check that… how I’m living… LARGE), if I could afford to floss and fuel-up a Lambo daily… Yeah, lemme try this problem out. Vrrrroooomm!
Friendly Skies? Why Not Fly The LUXURIOUS Skies? (Video)
Wait… isn’t Four Seasons a luxury hotel business? Are they sponsoring airlines? No, they are booking flights, my friend! But the luxury part, that they kept in the plane biz. Immaculate interiors, in-flight chefs, Dom Perignon on tap; and all for only £60,000 (just north of $97,000 US).
Aw c’mon. You KNOW the Four Seasons isn’t cheap!

“New York is the greatest city on the planet, I think. But you’re not a New Yorker if you don’t wake up some days and be like ‘man, f#ck this place.’â€
Toto Melo, we’re not in Kansas Cuba Puerto Rico anymore. We’re back in the NYC for this ep; and we may as well get used to it…

Then we head to Red Hook, Brooklyn to track down Melo’s childhood home and visit the studio of street artist Swoon. Along the way Melo dishes on his relationship with New York and struggles with the media.
Art & Music: The “787 Graffiti Ball” Visually Captured By Atlanta’s ‘Hometown Heroes’ (Video)
One thing about Atlanta is the range of events that happen here. Whether it is a Hip Hop Show, EDM or the Ballet & Symphony. Or it could be a Falcons, Hawks, Braves game or NASCAR event. Besides those well known events you have cool niche events like BonFire ATL, Elevated ATL and 787 Graffiti Ball. The 787 Graffiti Ball recently went down here in Atlanta at 787 Windsor St. An event where the first 250 people who RSVP’d got a free spray can for the event.
What is Graffiti Ball ? Well it is a night dedicated to the art of Scribbling, Scratching, and Defacing. Not only is it a chance for the everyday person to do some graffiti without having to look over their shoulders for cops. Some of the biggest and emerging aerosol artists are brought together ranging from NYC, Miami, and of course here in Atlanta. One of the well known ATL artists represented was DR. DAX whose amazing work can be seen all around Atlanta. This video recap was shot by HomeTown Heroes make sure you check out their site hometownheroesatl.com

Carmelo Anthony Goes To Puerto Rico, To ‘Stay Melo’ In The Hood To Do Some Good And More (Video)
New Stay Melo ep on VICE Sports for y’all. Last one was about Cuba. This time it’s Puerto Rico.
Carmelo Anthony recognizes, like most looking outside in, that Puerto Rico is currently in economic decline. But to Melo it’s a place of family, opportunity and a growing sports culture. He goes to chill (Melo out, if you will) but also to do some goodwill and good work. Spent a few days training with a group of fellow Knicks, seeing the stadium that will house his Puerto Rico FC NASL team, riding out to La Perla (one of Puerto Rico’s most notorious hoods), hanging out with reggaeton legend Tempo (home after a 12 year prison bid) at one of the b-ball courts Melo has refurbished for the community and more stuff.
Sure, ballers are in the League…balling. But with all that wealth, if you aren’t doing something…you got nothing! Just saying. Now, watch and listen as Melo does something; and shares and wrestles with his vision for what he’d like to accomplish in PR.

Rolls-Royce Introduces A New “Dawn” (Video) (Video)
Oh wowww. Rolls-Royce’s Dawn convertible is cool; like a sunset dip in a beachfront infinity pool (see the promo video to know how cool that can be people). That’s a mighty sexy, luxurious good look… you know, for those of you who are into drooling over high-end vehicles. Yeah, that’s you…Â you will be drooling over this. The leather looks so butter soft… and the finish and… Just watch, please, watch above.
Striking. Sensuous. Endlessly sociable. Dawn marks the arrival of open-top driving as you’ve never experienced it before.

Carmelo Anthony Goes To Cuba To Cover Soccer, Soak In The Culture and Scoop Some Cigars (Video)
Very dope. And the time is right. Soccer (e.g. football, futbol) being the world sport it is, America being a leading sports nation, and Melo being a leading sportsman from America…
Throughout the NBA off-season VICE Sports and Carmelo Anthony are exploring street sport cultures around the world. In our premiere episode, Melo travels to Cuba to explore the rise of soccer in a nation synonymous with baseball, ride a 1950s drop top in the rain, and grab some fresh rolled Cuban cigars along the way.
Carmelo was a good choice for a correspondent, too. This VICE Sports piece felt more like interesting leisure than intense learning; enriching experience captured on video either way.
eSports Is Real, Really Big, And Serious Business Worldwide (Video)
Okay, so we thought we were talking big sporting with the earlier post on ‘Fantasy Football’ but DAMN…
Today, there are more people in the world who play the online multiplayer battle game League of Legends than there are people who live in France.
– VICE
Wowwww. More folks playing one game than the number of folks that live in a country! We have slept; but VICE is going to wake us up and hip us to the world of competitive gaming — also known as eSports. So real, and really exciting. Really lucrative, too… but really brutal at times.
Start with Part 1 above. Continue after the jump. A deep, multi-part story from VICE.
Food & Culture: The New York 21 Club Burger (Video)
A burger that looks like “ooh la la” will end up costing you a lot of “moo la la” (emphasis on moo) – 36 damn dollars though???? Salt, pepper, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, and condiments. Dat all… for $36. Breathing deeply…
For over 85 years, New York City’s 21 Club has hosted U.S. Presidents, Hollywood elite and titans of finance. Executive chef Sylvain Delpique talks about the eatery’s history as a speakeasy as well as his take on an American staple.
Yeah. You watch and figure if the burger is that much better there than the local spot up the block.
