Interview
Ice Cube On CNBC Right After Releasing His “Death Certificate” Album (Video)
Ah, so Jerry Heller did make some anti-defamation moves (reaching out to Simon Wiesenthal, Wiesenthal Center) like the character in “Straight Outta Compton” threatened.
Late night call-in talk show, taped right after Ice Cube left NWA and released his solo album called “Death Certificate.”
– X+
Looking at the comments on this vid on the Tube and across the Interwebs, this interview might have been part of the setup… to negatively spin Cube’s views & lyrics. Gotta say, Cube, even as a young man, repped himself and the Culture strong on air; despite the media pressure.
(Reporter/host was kind of thin-skinned near the end, right? Asking. And slipping in that “Man Of Rage” moniker… Really? He never once even raised his voice.)

Nipsey Hussle Is An Entrepreneur & Hip-Hop Artist, In That Order (Video)
To me, a starving artist is uncomfortable.
– Nipsey Hussle
BOOOOOM!
All the faithful fam on here already know that Nip Hussle is about his BUSINESS(es)… see here for example. Dude is seemingly the epitome of laid-back in his demeanor though; like he doesn’t chase bread because he stays busy making it.

Yooo! Sometimes the star is the story. King James was the [All] star this weekend, homie. Without a doubt.

Politics: Did Hillary Clinton Secretly Take Over The Democratic Party For Campaign 2016? (Video)
Hollllly sheeeeit! #FeelTheBern for real. Looks like there is solid testimony (in former Democratic National Chair Donna Brazile’s upcoming book) that the Democrats that backed Bernie, that threw in with Hillary to oppose the Trump campaign, have been had, got took, been bamboozled and BURNED… damn!
And the cajones of anyone who would seek to suppress the truth… chastising Donna Brazile and others who would call out the Clinton’s co-opting of the DNC as “legal but amoral” for tearing down the party… come on! Slavery was legal at one time, too. People can forgive almost anything, once we know the full truth, like former Senator Nina Turner says above.
Watch the clip.
DJ Premier Speaks On His And Jay-Z’s Musical Partnership (Video)
Jigga knows what he wants in a beat, and Preemo always knew how to deliver it. That’s what’s up. And that’s why the two always made beautiful music together!
There have been a million and one producer and MC combinations over the years, but none are quite like JAY-Z and DJ Premier. The Marcy legend and Gang Starr icon have produced nothing but fire over their brief stint of collaboration, first exploring their chemistry in 1996 for ‘Reasonable Doubt’ (“D’Evils,” “Friend or Foe,” “Bring it On”) and again for Hov’s sophomore LP, ‘In My Lifetime,’ Vol. 1. That album’s multi-part opening, “Intro/A Million and One Questions/Rhyme No More,” is a favorite—a song that Premier broke down in the latest installment of MASS APPEAL’s new series, “Off The Record.”

Haaa! Rob $tone AND his pops fell through u-b!tch-u! Y’all watch that. I’m gonna see about taking this sexy azz Stormy Fronts weather girl out for some ice cream. Yuuuuup!
While preparing for the release of his debut album, juggling beef with rappers XXXTentacion and Ski Mask the Slump God, and touring as part of the Made in America Festival, $tone and his pops dropped by the GGN studio, where he and Snoop smoked out and talked about the making of “Chill Bill,†creating a new West Coast anthem, growing up on Snoop’s music, the worst job he’s ever had (it’s very San Diego), and much more. Check it out.

Dave East Is Happy For The New Generation, But They Do Not Do It Like He Does (Video)
Always a good interview when East is in the house.
Hard Knock Tv’s Nick Huff Barili sits down with Dave East for an in-depth interview at Truth Studios. In part 3, Dave shares what conversations were like early on with Nas when they first met and later what advice Nas, who signed him in 2014, has given him. Dave East also talks about there needing to be subgenres in Rap because what he and Lil Uzi Vert do are not the same. Dave said he is happy for the new generation of rappers doing their thing but lyricism and storytelling is more his thing.
– Hard Knock TV
No doubt! Dave is a different breed, a thoroughbred emcee. And for our end, we will be thorough enough to include Parts 1 & 2 of this interview after the jump.

Michael Rapaport Explains Why He Hates On President Trump, ‘King’ James And Jay Hova’s “4:44” (Video)
Damn. If you have been keeping up with Michael Rapaport in any way, you know that he gives a f*ck, but not two, about some things.
Now, about what ‘backlash’ might be coming his way about his very publicized and reiterated disdain for the current U.S. President… Let’s be clear: Michael gives ZERO f*cks!
Watch him re-reiterate that and sh!t on Lebron James (for ‘ruining the NBA’ and dissing his kids) and that “4:44” album (for lacking ‘smackers’).
Plus some ‘bars’ for these mumble rappers. Plus a LOT more!

CyHi The Prynce Speaks On Growing Up, Living In The Time Of Big Meech & BMF, And The Life He Wants (Video)
CyHi The Prynce is so ATL he was there to watch Zone 6 go from mixed to mostly Black! This is Part 1, where dude is talking about growing up in Georgia …FAST! Getting into the drug trade early, getting kicked out of school and out of his parents’ home by 10th grade, living in a trap house, getting into shootouts and dangerous situations… It’s a lot.
And it don’t stop. The Feds were already watching CyHi as a youth!
Part 2 and more after the jump.
Big Boi Speaks On A Continually Making Music, Life As A Jedi Master Rapper, And Who Invented Trap Music (Video)
Yeah, man. So-called ‘trap music’ has been part of the rap music lexicon for a long while. But as far back as the beginnings of Big Boi? Strong argument to be made. Picked up that “Boomiverse” LP yet? Strong argument for doing that to be made, too.
We chopped it up with Big Boi to talk about everything from the newly released “Boomiverse,” to why Rico Wade is considered hip-hop’s Yoda, Dave Chappelle and more.

Heard From The “Hip-Hop Cop” Himself… He’s Pretty Sure He Knows Who Killed Jam Master Jay (Of Run DMC) [Video]
Now THAT’S how you start a clip! You ask former detective Derrick Parker, “What happened to Jam Master Jay?” Then follow up with, “So you think you know who killed Jam Master Jay?”
Parker answers, “Yes.” And, less than 40 seconds into the clip, let’s BEGIN!
Former NYPD detective and “Hip-Hop Cop” Derrick Parker shared his thoughts on the Jam Master Jay murder case with VladTV, and he revealed that it may be solved despite 15 years going by. He explained that lack of witness cooperation and corroboration of evidence slowed the case down, but Parker now believes he knows who murdered the Run DMC legend.

Dope Conversation Between Mark Cuban & Uncle Snoop (Video)
It’s love-hate with me with Mark Cuban… It was love until he went in with all that Pittsburgh Steeler fandom. Now, I have no beef with the Steelers, for the most part, but in the 70s (what Cuban’s gushing about)… they kept the Houston Oilers out of the Super Bowl. And I am an OILER fan for LIFE!
Earl Campbell, Bum Phillips, Oilers. Shout to my FAMILY, cornerback Ezekiel “Zeke” Moore, Oilers. Billy “White Shoes” Johnson went to the Atlanta Falcons, so I watched the Falcons for a while, Oilers. Jerry Glanville used to coach the Falcons and I swore the Durty Bird jerseys turned baby blue, Oilers.
Yeah, I love the OILERS (not the Titans, not the Texans, old school Houston)! And the Steelers did not. Dammit!
*Sigh* But Mean Joe Green was a mean muddah suckah though. And the Eye Candy is cute (a bit “confused” but hella cute). Okay, the Cuban episode gets a pass Snoop.

Gabrielle Union Speaks On Sexual Freedom, Her Book, And Husband Dwyane Wade Reuniting With Lebron James (Video)
Daaaamn, Gab! Started flipping your “fun switch” at 5? Trolling for Black men in the Yay Area in later years? Telling the young ladies to demand that good ‘gina gobbling AND azz-eating from these men out here (because reciprocity)? You wild out here like that?!
Okay, women’s liberation for real. FREEDOM… sexual and otherwise! Well, go ‘head Being Mary Jane on ’em then *wink*
(That ain’t all. Just some “juicy” bits to lure you in. Actually a very thoughtful interview. Balanced. Talking to a grown woman.)
You. WANT. To. Watch this whole interview! It goes down (everyone does, watch)!
Kountry Wayne Loves The Kids, And He Went Viral And Got His Comedy Grind On To Keep His Fed (Video)
Y’all know Kountry Wayne, right? He started on the Facey-Space. And he was hustling before, but with EIGHT kids to feed… he had to REALLY be about getting his bag BIGGER (like $70K a month bigger, daayumm). More on Wayne after the jump.
Interesting the level of success at several ventures Kountry Wayne has had thus far (like never having a bad night in stand up comedy? Wow). Positive attitude, confidence, forward motion, working hard & smart for the right reasons. Good stuff.

‘Big Rich Town’ Vacay In Puerto Rico: 50 Cent Took Grandpa To The Strip Clubs (Video)
Hahaaa! YouTube surfing will let you catch some cool content in the side margins. Then when you click on one of those, you find several related. Like the 50 on Kimmel a while back. Hilarious. Dope.
Streets is watching. And 50 Cent is behind you! But that’s after the jump. Start above.
Method Man Remembers & Praises The Excellence Of Prodigy (Video)
Meth says Prodigy was ‘Top 5’ in his day… PLUS he was a fan. Dopest and most real thing a colleague can say in almost any field of endeavor; but esp. so in Hip-Hop. One more RIP to Prodigy of Mobb Deep.
Yasiin Bey On Politics And Rap, And Weighs In On The Possibility Of Another Mayweather/McGregor Event, “No. HELL NO!” (Video)
Interesting point Yasiin made, speaking on Mayweather vs. McGregor… Conor just took a page out of Floyd’s book. We saw it. Barking it up, making it an event (rather than a fight, we saw it was NOT a fight).
Yasiin Bey Talks opens up on the Mayweather/McGregor fight, South Africa Travel Issues, his thoughts on Colin Kaepernick’s stance, tearing down of the US monuments, the current state of rap and more!
– HOT 97
Of course, esp. now that we are far removed from the ‘event,’ we can see what Yasiin sees: That Floyd–Conor do not keep doing business (e.g. that was a one-time thing).
