Kaytranada – “2017 07 04” / “2017 09 01 – SUS” / “2017 – 38” (Instrumental)
3 new jawns on my soundcloud, no project related, just beats…
— KAYTRA (@KAYTRANADA) September 2, 2017
Um… okay K. So, just tossing these out there with no plan. Of course, we’re good with that, but you good? Too late! Because we are taking these jawns and running with them. Hahaaa! Get at the streams family!
Simply titled “2017 07 04,” “2017 09 01 – SUS,” and “2017 – 38,” these are the latest Kaytranada instrumentals.
araabMUZIK – “Selda†feat. !llmind
Yeaaah, araabMUZIK and !llmind got together and dropped it on the “One Of One” for real with this banger “Selda†on all y’all mickeys and fickeys! Listennnn!
Madlib – “10 Summers Old” (Instrumental)
Nice. Like something after the blind pick on Rhythm Roulette type beat work. Madlib found a good sound snip and worked it into something. Check it out.
Washed Out – “Hard To Say Goodbye”
Washed Out. I love their music & their sound! Great to see new music from them because I’ve been playing “Feel It All Around” a lot lately as if it had just come out. You can pre-order the album (“Mister Mellow”) that will be coming out with this “Hard To Say Goodbye” song on it before the June 30th release via the link.
DJ Rhettmatic – “Rhett Got Beats” (Instrumental Mixtape)
DJ Rhettmatic shows us what 20 years of applied experience can do for a project. All dope music, no junk from the Beat Junkie. The West Coast OG is out with his own full-length instrumental beat tape, “Rhett Got Beats.”
At 18 tracks beatin’ down the block, with a bonus feature from Hieroglyphics’ Opio and Pep Love, this will fit nicely in your Street Corner Music collection.

Floyd The Locsmif – “Day Fazes” (EP)
Theme music for the many fazes we face day to night to day again….
Pure uncut dope in the form of a Floyd The Locsmif production. A four-track instrumental EP that you get from the giddy-up, but then really get when you get to the end. The tracks take listeners through all the “Day Fazes” – ‘Morning’ to ‘Sunset’ to “Moon Madness.” FREE streaming (and the link to cop from Loc) below.
Karriem Riggins – “Bahia Dreamin'” (Video)
Nice one from the “Headnod Suite” LP. “Bahia Dreamin'” is like yeeeaaahh, the kind of groovin’ my dream B-Girl would be into. Lovely, and lovely to come home to for certain! Be damned if I leave my smooth duchess home alone with the actual smooth percussionist Karriem Riggins though. Naaaah son!
(Watch to the end. Get ready to go ‘What The F-?’)
Cookin’ Soul – “GRMY” (Instrumental) [Video]
The Alchemist – “Rapper’s Best Friend 4: An Instrumental Series” (Album)
How about a hookup for you rappers to hookup with hooks? You can thank us later, but really thanks for now should go to The Alchemist for another release from the “Rapper’s Best Friend” series. Numero quatro!
(And you can enjoy the beats even if you are not a rapper. Nah’meeeen?!)
THE ALCHEMIST – RAPPER’S BEST FRIEND 4: AN INSTRUMENTAL SERIES (ALBUM)
Who Does Nas Think The Top Rap Acts Currently Are? (Video)
Get right to it: Who is Nas feeling among the newer school artists of now. Cole & Kendrick, certainly. But Weezy though? Interesting, but much too short from Nas, clip from Revolt’s “Music Talks†Series.
J Dilla – “Jay Dee’s Ma Dukes Collection” (Album Stream)
Hot from the shot, the late great J Dilla’s musical estate let off 15 from the heater in time for the holidays. “Jay Dee’s Ma Dukes Collection” is available now for streaming and purchase below.

King I Divine – “Josephine Black” (Video)
It’s like the freedom of music-and-matte shows you’ve been to (esp. on the arts scene in Atlanta), but in the backyard. Nice vibes, as usual, to King I Divine’s latest – “Josephine Black.” Painting by Candice “Goldie” Wood featured.
Peace Peace. Hope all is blessed. I Just wanted to share some new music with you from my upcoming album “Java FM.”

Stro Elliot – “A 01 The Summer Love Song”
House Shoes shares are the dopest. Gotta love when a DJ does the real duty of hipping the masses to the Mos’ Def (once your hear Yasiin in there, you’ll get that) tracks that might otherwise slip by us. Beautiful booming banger of a “Summer Love Song” with the promise of more on the way from Stro Elliot.
In the midst of all the hate in the world,
I felt like sharing some LOVE.
The first leak from Stro Elliot’s self-titled debut LP on Street Corner Music, coming this fall.
Big shouts to the homie DJ LowKey from Denver for looking out.
