U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson Needed Room at the White House To Let His ‘Nuts Hang’ (Audio)

Every man needs pants. Every man needs room in his pants. That’s how we order ’em… with room… preferably EXTRA room for comfort when carrying money and such. President Lyndon B. Johnson, being a man, was no different. He needed room in his pants – for his money, for his KNIFE, and for his NUTS! Hahahahaaaaaa!

Listen closely. Was that a big belch? Haaa! Man, the Prez was rough cut back in the day. Joe Haggar tailor-made slacks – cut for Presidential comfort since the 1960s.

(And yes, that really is the President’s voice, a recording off the White House phone line.)

The Real Wu-Tang: New York’s Shaolin Warrior Monk (Video)

(Video Courtesy: The Atlantic)

Shi Yan Ming has been in some action movies; but he is more colorful (and astonishing) in real life. At age five, he began training in the ancient Shaolin Temple in China’s Henan Province. He defected to the States in 1992, eventually founding USA Shaolin Temple in NYC, where he teaches philosophy and martial arts to kids and celebrities alike. What’s more, when interviewed for a documentary series (New Yorkers), the directors discovered a Wu Tang symbol in his studio… yeah, that Wu Tang symbol… as Yan Ming has RZA as one of his students. Check out the brief video expo on Yan Ming above.

Man Builds Full-Size Replica of Train… In His BASEMENT (Video)

Talk about living out a boyhood dream. This man built a full-size replica of a train car in his basement. All aboard! Jason Shron recently completed the painstaking work involved in building a full-size replica train carriage in his basement.

It took Shron more than 2,500 hours to fulfill his dream at a cost of $10,000… Shron’s finished work features seat numbers, the all-important chairs, welcome signs, coat hooks, timetable racks, and carpet from the 1970s. He hasn’t neglected anything, even offering a soundtrack of a train clicking along a track.’

– Time Newsfeed

Nice. It’s nothing like the real thing though. To Shron, in the ways that matter, it’s better:

“It’s where I feel most at peace. Especially when it’s hurtling along at 85mph with the snow and rain pelting down outside — it’s the perfect place to be.”

R.I.P. James Hood, First Black Man to Enroll at The University of Alabama (Video)

I just learned that an often under-recognized civil rights figure has passed. My eternal respect and thanks to you, Mr. James Hood. Because of the courageous steps you and Vivian Malone took into Foster Auditorium long ago, I was allowed to walk the halls and earn two degrees from The University of Alabama decades later. Many of those young men who took the field to reclaim the NCAA Football Championship this year owe their right to do so to you and a faithful few who saw the battle for our civil rights through in those tough times.

R.I.P. Mr. Hood. Roll Tide!

Special thanks to Vkoot for the YouTube post embedded above. See bonus video that puts the clip above into perspective after the jump.

Big Boi Talks About What He Might Have Been: Kid Shrink, Coke Kingpin, Comic Collector (Video)

In this Fuse TV ‘Intimate Interview,’ Big Boi talks about some revealing stuff… why he doesn’t have many scars today (too damn poor as a kid to even have a bike to fall off). And he touches on some sweet memories…. like dorky collections he had as a kid. But he manages to keep it ultra light; no sob stories. In fact, the reflective & at times ‘sad’ piano music used in this interview is hilarious in itself…Hahaaa!

Cassidy – “Condom Style PSA” (Video)

When Cassidy released his freestyle parody of Korean rapper PSY’s globally popular “Gangnam Style” song I wasn’t feeling it at all, but I greatly appreciated the message & intended purpose in which Cassidy was doing it was for.  The good people over at Condom-Nation obviously felt the same way as they’ve linked with Cassidy for this public service announcement video promoting safe sex. Check out the clip in which they hand out free condoms in the greater Los Angeles area & have fun reminding people to wrap it up. Now Stroke Em Condom Style! Haha

‘Mayan Doomsday 2012’…NASA Knew It Wouldn’t Happen (Video)

C’mon… you’ve been watching “The Walking Dead” on AMC… you peeped the movie trailers for “World War Z” and “After Earth”… You cannot tell me that along with those visions of sugarplums dancing in your head… you hadn’t thought about what might happen on 12/21/2012 (the day the world was supposed to end).

Okay, you don’t have to admit it. After all, you have the luxury of being here today saying “I knew it all along.” NASA’s and other scientists took a stand on this craziness before the so-called Doomsday date arrived.

‘…there was never evidence that the Maya culture predicted the end of the world on 12/21/12 . In fact, there are Mayan texts that refer to time periods beyond 2012.’

– Anthological archeologist Sonja Schwake

NASA made a video about it. Wanna see it? Click above.

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are having a baby. You knew that. But did you know how? Natural child birth…at home…in the pool…NO DRUGS! Of all the times to go ‘drug-free’. But…Try as I might, I can find nothing to hate on these two about. Terrance J is right, and I agree. I love these guys love. So, here’s to hoping for a healthy, sure-to-be-artistic-and-eclectic baby for the happy couple.

(You know… all this would make for compelling reality TV. But they wouldn’t do that…would they? Heh heh, just watch the clip above.)

Wanted: Black Female Hackers #BlackHack

Think of a relatively small subset of the population – like Black people in the United States.

(It’s okay. This post is not ‘racial’; more like post-racial.)

Okay, now whittle that subgroup down… to Black women in the U.S. Then narrow the group to U.S. Black women who are programmers or software developers and… um… where’d everyone go? Get it? The number is small. Understandably, the few there are might feel all alone. Well… until now. Coming up is the #BlackHack: a hack-a-thon for Black women programmers put on by Black Girls Hack.

‘Inspired by Black Girls Code in San Francisco, four women founded Black Girls Hack to inspire African American women (and girls) to be software developers and startup founders … and to gather, communicate with, and connect all those who already are.’

– John Koetsier, Venturebeat

The event – expected to bring 100 Black women developers and entrepreneurs together – will take place in Atlanta on November 16 and 17 (very soon). Mailchimp has signed on to be primary sponsor for the #BlackHack.

So… looking for women with brains who are about their business, are you? A’ight then.

Comedy: Internets Celebrities Investigate ‘Cuffing Season’ (Video)

Yoooo! Never had a name for it…until now! Cuffing Season! Hahaaaa. It’s getting chilly out there folks, now that the Fall is upon us here in the States. The popular belief is that folks are finding – and holding onto – that special someone these days…at least to keep warm through Fall and Winter. Internets Celebrities (Dallas Penn and Rafi Kam) aim to test Cuffing Season theory. Here’s what the team had to say:

‘The hot “skin was showing” summer was Jumpoff Season, with casual hookups as far as the eye could see. But as summer winds down to a close, it’s in our very nature to begin preparations for the cold months ahead. The high holidays are meant to be spent with loved ones, or at least a warm body. Join the Internets Celebrities on a field assignment to find out if Cuffing Season is real.’

Hahahaaaaaa! GET THE F*** OUTTA HERE! See, I tried to read this with an open mind… for real.
