100-Year Old Woman Is Possessed By ‘D!ck’ In News Interview (Video)
“How’s ya d!ck hangin’?”
Bwahaahaa! Of course that’s how a 100-year-old grandma would start interview with the TV REPORTER! And, of course, she would finish by asking the young man, “How big is yours?” What was the conversation like between? You may have your guesses; but I dare you to watch the clip above and see for yourself!
ESPN’s Outside The Lines: Carry On (Trailer)
I watched this on ESPN Sunday afternoon and found it to be nothing short of inspiring. Wow.
The network initially profiled Dartanyon Crockett – legally blind, homeless and motherless – and his friend, Leroy Sutton, who was often found on Crockett’s back (the result of his losing his legs after being run over by a train when he was 11) four years ago. ESPN revisited and updated the touching story of the friendship and bond of these two young athletes today.
Vice: Venezuelan Body Counts (Video)
Damn. Vice has a knack for bringing awareness to realities that we should really know and care about through its documentaries. With perspectives that bring focus to peculiarities and injustices around the world, you’ve seen many a Vice post here because the videos are really worth watching. That said, this 3-part video “Venezuelan Body Counts” ranks among the most impactful. And that’s saying a lot. Part 1 above. Parts 2 and 3 after the jump.
Last year alone, Caracas had more violent deaths than Baghdad (Iraq). Vice’s Ryan Duffy traveled to Venezuela to investigate the country’s crime epidemic.

Force Feeding Guantánamo Bay Prisoners: Yasiin Bey Filmed Undergoing the Gruesome Procedure (WARNING: VERY GRAPHIC) [Video]
Perhaps you’ve heard political banter making the case for closing ‘Gitmo’ (e.g. the American military detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba). Perhaps you dismissed it as something about which you, or no one your know, have no particular passion.
That changes today.
Recently released video of Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) on location in London, voluntarily participating in a demonstration of force-feeding procedure for Gitmo prisoners on hunger strike. WARNING: This visual presentation from director Asif Kapadia is DISTURBING. Please watch, if you feel you can. But know either way that this is happening… and that you should care.
Tupac’s Former Body Guard Frank Alexander’s Last Interview (Video)
This is the last interview from Tupac’s former body guard, Frank Alexander. You might remember him from his appearance in the ‘Biggie and Tupac‘ documentary. Haunting when you think about it. This is footage of a man in what would be his last days speaking his last words (for the most part)… including comments on the last days and last words of his friend. Five-part interview. Parts 2-5 are embedded after the jump.
BET Experience 2013 ‘No Guns Allowed’ Panel Discussion With Host MC Snoop Lion (Video)
Incredible panel discussion held by the League of Young Voters, BET and Snoop Lion entitled “No Guns Allowed: Disarming Violence in Our Community.” This was a roundtable dialogue on the impact of gun violence in America filmed over the BET Experience 2013 weekend in Los Angeles.
Roundtable Host: Dr. Rob “Biko” Baker, League of Young Voters Executive Director
Panelists: Snoop Lion, T.I., Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), H.E.L.P.E.R. Foundation Executive Director Melvyn Hayward Jr., writer and director of the critically-acclaimed movie on gun violence “Fruitvale Station” Ryan Coogler and New Generation Foundation Executive Director Brandon T. Jones.
A short, but powerful recap everyone should watch.
Technology: MC10 Making Microchips To Wear On or Under the Skin (Video)
WOW… read about these ‘second skin’ wearable computer chips in Businessweek and immediately looked for video! MC10 wants to make you more superhuman with its BioStamp product. The way David Icke (company CEO) sees it, these chips could be put into clothes, worn on the skin, or be implanted just below the skin… with applications that could advance medicine or enhance physical training/monitoring for athletes or average citizens.
Incredible tech. No doubt. BUT…
Note that he didn’t offer a caution or suggest any possible ‘Big Brother’ angle. Now, knowing me (through my posts), you expect that I would launch into a tirade on the potential ills of this tech… in the hands of a radical organization, soulless corporation, or future administration (government) at this point. On another day, maybe I would. I certainly could… but I’ll leave that to you this time. Just ask yourself: Who would have the money, motive, and means to make the ‘most’ of this tech? Hmmm…

Vice: Mexico’s Female Crime Journalists (Video)
In Ciudad Juarez, All of the journalists who cover politics and crime for the Diario de Juarez are women, and they have covered some of the most grotesque, brutal crimes in the world. Fearless. These ladies take it to what, in effect, is the war zone. To get the story and shed light on the horrible crime issue. Vice follows them, in and out of the killing fields and beyond to try to understand why politicians are not doing what it takes to stop any of this.
Dark Girls: White Men Discuss Their Attraction To Black Women (Video)
“You’re not more ethnic if you’re darker…” – Taken from OWN’s ‘Dark Girls’ Series Premiere
Does it take a White man to tell Black folk what we should have been saying to each other for decades? Perhaps so.
‘In Dark Girls, Hip-Hop author and journalist Soren Baker, a white man who’s married to an African-American woman, describes his early attraction to women of all races—and shares his father’s reaction. Plus, another man in an interracial relationship discusses his wife’s skin tone.’
– OWN
‘Dark Girls’ premieres this Sunday, June 23, on OWN, at 10/9 PM CST. This ought to be good. Oprah might just have as many fellas watching this show on her network.
The KKK Kept Patrick Ewing From Attending UNC (Video)
‘There was a big Ku Klux Klan rally in North Carolina when I was there. And I’m like…you know what…I’m not coming down here!’
– Patrick Ewing, on the phone with Dan Patrick
Well, Patrick Ewing’s first choice was Georgetown University anyway. But I bet that KKK ‘welcome ceremony’ didn’t help UNC’s recruiting effort. Note to any remaining racists out there… you can really cost your program something serious with your ignorance. Like future NBA all-star center serious. Wow! Watch.
Hard To Earn, Too Costly To Learn: How For-Profit Colleges Saddle African-American Students With Staggering Debt
President Obama echoes the sentiment of Black people throughout the ages in America: The key to “winning the future†is to get educated. Get educated, get paid, live the American Dream. That’s the path to prosperity right… right?
Well, Kai Wright of Salon.com writes that something isn’t right:
Have we been had, hoodwinked, and bamboozled again? Kai makes a powerful argument. And were he here to speak on it today, Malcolm X might well quip: Plymouth rock landed on us. We climbed from under it. Then they dropped a mountain of debt on top of us!
Several of the top for-profit colleges are run by financiers, not educators. Damn. Now, more than ever, it costs to be poor; and it pays to exploit those striving for more.
VICE: Life in the Deportee Slums of Mexico (Video)
‘Tijuana is now a city that only receives deportees. People no longer come from the south to cross the border, because the immigration policies have become more stringent. 9/11 brought about an atmosphere of increased security at the border. The border was seen as an issue of national security. The recession generated a very high unemployment rate. Because of this economic situation, immigrants were stigmatized and seen as the cause of unemployment. Raids and deportations began to increase. In the end, immigrants became the scapegoat for this economic situation.’
The transcript above is from this episode of Vice: “Life in the Deportee Slums of Mexico.” Makes sense immigrants had nothing where they were. It’s why they leave to go somewhere and get something. It also makes sense that there is some ‘cost’ in doing so. Now, if you leave nothing… pay the cost (whatever that may be), get caught and deported. Where do you go? What do you come back to? Would it be accurate to call that ‘Hell on Earth’… or at least Purgatory? Watch the video.
‘About 40 percent of Mexican immigrants deported from the US are sent back through Tijuana. Many of the deported border crossers have established a makeshift shantytown inside a dry, concrete riverbed where the Tijuana River once flowed—called El Bordo.’

Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade Takes Time Out To Go To A Fan’s Prom (Video)
Take a look as Dwyane Wade surprises one of his biggest fans (Archbishop Carroll High senior Nicole Muxo) by attending her prom! Like his YouTube channel says, ‘Dwyane helps make a fan’s dream come true by showing up unexpectedly at her prom in Coral Gables, FL.’
Now, you gotta admit that that was kool. Bravo, D. Wade.
What Does ‘Gender Parity’ Mean? Women ‘Go Topless’ and Demonstrate in NYC (Video) [NSFW]
Above: Video of the ‘2012 Go Topless Day Rally’ In New York City. Started in 2007, the celebration and protest actually pushes an agenda of equal rights for the sexes in another way. Simply put, a breast is a breast – be it male or female. In fact, for the NYPD, ‘breast exposure is not considered public lewdness, indecent exposure, or disorderly conduct.’ In fact, the New York cops have been instructed to protect topless protesters like others marching for rights.
Gotta love America. Top(less) to bottom! Watch the [Not Safe For Work] video after the jump.

ESPN’s E:60 on Miami Heat All-Star Chris Bosh (Video)
You say what you want about Miami Heat All-Star Chris Bosh but this dude is hilarious with all the situations that seem to happen with him. Self-inflicted suspect photobombs or not one thing for sure is you can’t deny the guy can play basketball. This ESPN mini-documentary with Lisa Salters exposes Chris Bosh for who he really is…..just a geeky, nerdy, yet highly intelligent former Georgia Tech student who had an interest in engineering & computer programming. To Chris Bosh’s wife he’s just a “goofball” who in more ways than one is just an entertainer at heart. Despite some of the negativity he’s received it’s kinda cool to see Chris Bosh won’t allow anything to affect his sense of humor.
