ArtByOdell sat down with local Atlanta promoters HomeTown Heroes to discuss their first ATL event. On the bill they had Dexter Brandon of Kolossus Records along with Thrice Groove of WERC Crew. Â To headline the event was Dpat & Atu of Soulection who made their Atlanta debut. Â Like past Soulection DJ’s (LAKIM, Jo Def & Sango)making their first trip to ATL Dpat & Atu spoke with ArtByOdell. The discussion talks music what inspires them and their international backgrounds. RIP Frankie Knuckles, Legendary DJ And Godfather Of House Music

The psalmist wrote, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the mourning.” Often, mourners gain comfort from these words; because they remind them that the pain of losing a loved one will not last. But the memories, legacy and love… those should. But first the respect due, demands we take a somber moment, family.
For House heads, dancers, and fans worldwide, it is not ‘breaking’ news so much as heartbreaking news that the
The Huffington Post reported yesterday: “Frankie Knuckles… Godfather of House Music… dies at 59 in Chicago.”
Knuckles remained active until his sudden passing, playing a show just two days before his death.

This particular episode finds DJ Jazzy Jeff rocking a number of parties, taking in some Formula 1 racing with race car driver Lewis Hamilton, & rocking for U.S troops stationed in Abu Dhabi two hours outside of Dubai.
