Dee-1 x Murs – “No Pictures Of Jesus” (Video)
Peace Be Upon He.
Peace Be Upon We.
No photos, pictures, characterizations or visualizations of God or the central Salvation figure… Yep, as I was just discussing with a friend who has chosen a new Faith… Islam got it right. Christians’ conceptualization of what the Savior Jesus Christ looks like really holds us back in many ways.
Dee-1 and Murs are really trying to let us know that that look stuff… NOT IMPORTANT… AT ALL!

AvJo Music – “Thankful” feat. Bonebreaker Jones x Tony Factory
Soooo, should I wait until ‘Black Friday’ (e.g. the Friday after Thanksgiving) to hip you to “An Avjo Christmas” (out now) since that’s the start of the retail holiday shopping season?
Maybe.
That is to say NOPE! Y’all gone get this work… NOW! As a matter of fact, if you listen closely, you will receive this prayer. Hallelujah, give praise and thanks. A unique, heartfelt approach to the spiritual music lane by BoneBreaker Jones and Tony Factory. I dig it. And praise God for my brothers.
Please give it a listen. Hope you are touched by this in some way, too.

Aretha Franklin’s Unreleased Documentary ‘Amazing Grace’ (Trailer)
One of the most interesting things to come of the theatrical and commercial success of “Straight Outta Compton” is the explosion of discussions about the ‘next’ biopic. Some word has been floating about regarding a sequel to the N.W.A. biopic that focuses on Snoop and Tupac. Before that, there was substantial rumor mill grist generated by talk on a possible Public Enemy movie. Well… how about telling a story outside the rap genre? That TLC movie raised quite a ruckus, and that was a straight-to-cable work.
What say we consider a movie, more documentary-like, that was shot in 1972… edited and likely re-edited over the decades since… and set to surface at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival (running September 10th to 20th)? It was billed as a ‘gospel concert’ movie for Aretha Franklin – constructed with extensive footage captured while Re-Re recorded her “Amazing Grace” album. Check out what was to be the trailer in 2010 above.
We will all just have to wait on the new new version. The world will get it when Toronto does.
Contestant Lillie McCloud Stuns ‘X-Factor’ Judges And Brings Kelly Rowland To Tears (Video)
TV talent shows aren’t our usual fare on here. They seem to thrive on celebrating everything BUT talent (including Simon’s scorn and scowl). Moreover, I cannot claim any expertise in contemporary gospel music AND it may even be a bit blasphemous to say this BUT… SHIIIIID! Lillie McCloud can GET IT! And she got chops, too?! Watch this clip floating around the Interwebs showing Lillie rock that CeCe Winans song “Allabaster Box.†Age ain’t nothing but a number. And if you got her number, you are a lucky sonuva…
