Food: Sean Evans Tastes Beer Spiked With Mace! (Video)

Okay, the category is ‘food’ but the focus is more on ‘drink’ (sorry not sorry). Just seems right that somebody take the guy torturing celebs with The World’s Hottest Wings on a tour-de-beer that includes some KILLER spices.

Sean Evans is the perfect guinea pig for one of Dogfish Head brewmaster Sam Calagione’s craziest recipes to date: In Your Mace, a pepper spray-infused stout custom-made for someone who has eaten the spiciest wings on the planet. Before unleashing this diabolical creation on Sean, Sam warms him up with a crash course in how to pair spicy foods with beer. Then, the duo decides to kick things up even further by running the Mace-spiked beer through a special contraption stuff with Carolina Reapers, Chocolate Bhutlahs, and a boatload of other peppers from chile guru Smokin’ Ed Currie.

Food: Homegrown Tomatoes Taste Better (Video)

My Dad was a sharecropper through late his preteen years before his family moved to Tuskegee. The farmer in him meant we would have a pretty big garden every year, overflowing with tomatoes. They were not heirloom tomatoes like these, but those ‘maters did taste different. Guess that is no surprise. Homegrown vs. storebought, you know… It’s just that this video gives a ‘fullness’ to the argument that I cosign. Check it out.

Food: This Smoked Watermelon Looks Like Meat (Video)

You know how some porn is a bit too ‘out there’ for your personal taste, but you can see why someone else might like it? Well, that’s this for me. Because this seems like a weird kind of food porn.

I have seen melon and pineapple grilled, making me wanna taste it. But this smoked melon… looking too much like meat to not be meat… or even taste anything like meat. I think it would just upset me. Which would be silly. So I’m not wanting to ‘go there’ over some fruity foodie smoked dream.

Food: Have You Ever Had An Ostrich Egg? (Video)

An ostrich egg is equal (in volume) to 16 chicken eggs, and tastes like ’em? Seems like there is zero risk to this new foodie experience. I would need to have someone with me though. Because even though I like eggs, a lot, we would have to split… the plate… AND the bill!

(C’mon, you KNOW this has to be a pretty pricey plate. Probably worth it.)
