Not mad at this at all. Feels like this flick’s storytelling will move closer to the comics and old cartoons. Good stories, maybe enough to pull a good movie from. When the Transformers emerged from 4 million years stasis on Earth, Bumblebee was a key figure. Though not the biggest or strongest, he was often entrusted with important spy missions, with protecting the Witwickys (Sparkplug, who helped discover a fuel conversion process for the Autobots, and his son Buster)… plus he could SWIM (comic fact-checking by ojones1, so y’all can ‘at’ him if you wanna argue, hahaaaa)!
Of course, Hollywood won’t stick to the 80s story too tight, but this still could make for a good holiday film.

Okay, so we can mark one dope film coming out in November. Looks like the film will be an epic retelling of the come-up story of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
“Bohemian Rhapsody” is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music, and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that was always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

Peace in the Middle East. We got used to saying the phrase; praying for it to become a reality. If you already know the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, good on you for being informed. I will admit to not knowing. I came across many storytellings like this on YouTube. Though I do not claim the expertise to declare it absolutely so, this one seems to speak to the true history in an even-toned manner.

This July 6th in U.S. theaters… there will be tears. Man, oh, man. They got commentary from Bobby, best friends, family, and insiders who KNEW “Whitney” for real. The film promises to tell all, ALL of it! Sure you want to know it ALL?
Really think about that. The answer is ‘yes’ of course. But if you murmured the words, “I Love You, Whitney“ at the end with the cat in the trailer… just saying, everything about the ‘beautiful people’ in our lives wasn’t beautiful. Prepare for that, but certainly keep the love. Always.

Well, damn. ‘Weaponized hilarity’ for a film about telemarketing though? Okay. The jury was kinda out with us on this flick, but Lakeith Stanfield gets a nod for his work in “Atlanta” to be certain. He and Zazie are on to other screens with their careers since their Fx breakthrough. Good looks!
“Sorry to Bother You” is a 2018 American science fiction comedy film written and directed by Boots Riley, in his directorial debut. It stars Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Jermaine Fowler, Omari Hardwick, Terry Crews, Patton Oswalt, David Cross, Danny Glover, Steven Yeun, and Armie Hammer. Set in Oakland, California, the film follows a young African-American telemarketer who adapts a White accent in order to thrive at his job.
The film showed at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2018. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 6, 2018, by Annapurna Pictures.

Motorcycles rule the streets of Indonesia. By day, the bikes zip through Jakarta, ferrying residents to and from work—but by night, the roads give way to the underground world of illegal street racing. Kids as young as 12 compete in the high-speed sprints, where riders can make a small fortune off a single race. The rewards are great, but the risks are just as high: Flying down roads at breakneck speeds, one, small mistake can cost a “speed jockey†their life.
On this episode of ‘VICE INTL,’ VICE Indonesia went inside Jakarta’s dangerous, high-stakes street racing scene. We met up with a 16-year-old rising star to hear how he got involved, talked to the cops cracking down on illegal drag racing, and checked out a sprint ourselves—watching as two teenagers faced off for more cash than most Indonesians make in a month.

Eljay Williams Presents “Pathways” (Trailer)

Concert promoter Sean Pathways is searching for answers to his failures while carrying the pressures of everyone’s chance at success. He attempts to balance a stagnant career and relationships with his music producing girlfriend (Beautiful) and his ex-girlfriend Ann. Ann is the leader of an all-female rap group he is promoting and Beautiful, under Sean’s influence, produces the group. He finds himself wanting and expecting too much from every aspect of his life and something has got to give.
The film is loosely based on the Independent Hip Hop Scene in Atlanta and features many of the artists, promoters, DJs, and producers that thrive there. The look, sound and feel of the film is directly influenced by Eljay’s years of covering the scene for his documentary series The Stand. The film’s soundtrack, which is dominated by Atlanta’s indie artists, authenticates the Emmy Nominated/Telly Award Winning Producer/Director’s vision.

Check it. “Black Panther” was the Spring face smash across the movie industry… Then “Avengers: Infinity Wars” followed up with the heart stomp… and they still have “Deadpool 2” and “Ant-Man & The Wasp”. Plus all the Marvel TV series coming back and coming soon this summer and fall AND the Netflix game Marvel is killing.
Oh wait, I’m sorry. DC had a good debut season for “Black Lightning.” Respect. But that about it.
Just watch the trailer. And somebody tell DC to step it up over there!
