Maybe it’s an elaborate ruse or something, but this… this ish roight heeeere ninjaaaa… be it real or ‘real slick marketing’… There can be no hug-it-out reconciliation coming any time soon. Hopsin took it too far. It’s gonna take NWA vs. Ice Cube cool-down time for Funk Volume head honcho Dame Ritter and Hop to to find a new bridge to cross. Hop dropped this “Ill Mind Of Hopsin 8” video and burned this bridge AND both toll booths the f#ck down. ‘Shots fired’ is such an understatement! Could a song with such an understated title come with this much heat?? YES! In the tradition of prior “Ill Mind Of Hopsin” releases (or anything Hop drops), this 8th one goes HARD to the BODY!

Wait, wait! Don’t click off like this is some schoolwork on a weekend. School’s out, but class… that’s always in. Remember that. But this is a chance to learn something. It’s a doc vid on Black skateboarders. Ahhh, right? Now, you see the whole title: “The BlackBoard.”
“The Blackboard” documentary film was produced and directed by attorney/indie filmmaker Marquis Bradshaw. The film aims to challenge what it means to be Black in America by examining the issue of acceptance within the Black community through the lens of skateboarding culture. “The Blackboard” stars prominent Black pro skaters Jabari Pendleton, Karl Watson, and Ron Allen (one of the first Black pro skaters and one of the first skaters to ever receive major corporate sponsorship). As it relates to pop culture, skateboarding among Black people has only in recent years become socially acceptable, beginning with artists such as Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams.

When you describe Andre Benjamin as an artist it could mean multiple things. First he is a musician, also a visual artist, an actor and just a cool Southern gentleman. Not to mention Andre is known by many names – Dre, Andre 3000, 3 Stacks to name a few. So when you think about Art Basel it’s not surprising to see Andre getting involved with the yearly Exhibit/Event.
Andre Benjamin has teamed up with  filmmaker Greg Brunkalla (B.F.A., film and television, 2001) and painter Jimmy O’Neal (B.F.A., illustration, 1989) both graduates of SCAD (Savannah College Of Art & Design). The exhibit is called “I feel ya†where all 47 of 3 Stacks black jumpsuits that he wore during Outkast recent tour. His fashion statement became part of the live show where phrases like “Make Love Like War†and “Across Cultures Darker People Suffer Most Why?â€
The display is accompanied by a short film titled “Trumpets” by Brunkalla and large paintings by O’ Neal. If you are at Art Basel 2014 you can catch an early glimpse and it will continue to show at Savannah College of Arts & Design (SCAD) University summer 2015. Check out this video that features Paula Wallace president of SCAD talking with Andre 3000 regarding what inspired this fashion statement.
