EPK: Stahhr Continues To Shine Her Light (Video)

Last year I directed my homie Stahhr’s video for ‘Still Dope’ which was produced by MF Doom & I was very proud to assist her with the project. It was a labor of love because I enjoyed the song & have mad respect for Stahhr over the years as one of Atlanta’s premier emcees period. We did everything literally on little to no budget but it still turned out dope. I also shot some additional footage that we were gonna use for an EPK but we never got around to getting the EPK edited after the video was completed. My West Coast homie Damu (also Stahhr’s manager) finally got the EPK completed sometime last year & uploaded it on youtube. My blog didn’t exist at the time but I know this is a perfect time to bring that video back for yall so people can get get focused again on the Queen before she drops her new project “Mother Nature With A Molotov” on Damu Music Group.

DJ Rasta Root Presents: The Rest Of Dilla Documentary Vol. I (Video)

My friend & all around dope ass DJ Rasta Root finally drops his ‘Rest Of Dilla Documentary Dillamentary’. Not only is DJ Rasta Root an international DJ & producer, but he’s also the new business manager for the Dilla Foundation. In the video he sheds some light on the project that initially started out as a mixtape honoring J Dilla but it eventually took a life of its own & grew into something bigger that involved Dilla’s mother Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey. For now this is only the promo trailer for the upcoming video production of the “J Dilla: Still Shining” project. The film is expected to delve into never seen before footage of one of hip hop’s greatest producers to give fans a greater perspective on Detroit’s finest.

WrittenHouse is one of those groups that make me extremely proud to be from Philly! Arguably one of the best groups to come out of the 215 in recent memory & further adding onto the long list of talent coming out of my hometown! One of my favorite tracks that I’ve played on my show last year was “Mahogany Blue” that I copped from them around August of last year. Thee Tom Hardy – Off The Radar feat. Euro (VIDEO)

I believe Thee Tom Hardy is one of 9th Wonder’s greatest finds in terms of talent. The North Carolina native dropped a very good mixtape called ‘The Secret Of The Green Magic’ with the assistance of DJ Green Lantern & it was one of my favorites of 2010. Thee Tom Hardy maybe be rather unassuming in appearance, but his witty lyricism & choice production makes him stand out amongst many of the freshmen in the game.
