R&B/Alternative: Coultrain – “Kiss Of Deathâ€
Off the “Side Effex Of Make-Believe; divided for love’s sake” EP from Coultrain, this is “Kiss Of Death.” Don’t sleep. It’s a bit of an unusual take on R&B, but give it a good listen. Words by Aaron M. Frison. Music composed by Stoney Rock. Backing vocals by Dharma Jean. With a title like “Kiss Of Death,” of course the St. Louis crooner is singing pain – about a woman.
M.O.P. – “Welcome 2 Brooklyn” feat. Maino

The L.O.X. Speak On ‘The Trinity’ Releases, Dej Loaf And More (Video)
SP, Sheek, and Jadakiss had a plan for their latest release all along. All three “The Trinity” EPs = 1 dope album. Post up with them below (via links to earlier posts). Above, we have interview footage from their Power 105 interview with The Breakfast Club. They speak on the new project they just dropped, hooking up with Dej Loaf and more. Good 20+ minutes. Watch.
THE L.O.X. – THE TRINITY (1ST SERMON) | (2ND SERMON) | (3RD SERMON)
The L.O.X. – “Now Listen” (Video)
“Now Listen” … When The L.O.X. said “We Gone Make It” … who knew they meant damn near every Hip-Hop hit dropping on mixtapes and FREE EPs into the late fall? This video (above) is for the single of that “The Trinity: 3rd Sermon” EP (below). Dope work from the D-Block, as usual.
The L.O.X. – “Survivor” (Video)
As long as it ain’t ‘broke’ I give a f#ck what you call me…
– Jadakiss
This banging beat and the crazy sample at the beginning had you dreaming of some on location overseas crazy video concept, right? If not, you were on the money (with yo’ unphased azz)… because your mans and them – The L.O.X. – decided to keep it simple suckaz (like ‘KISS… Jadakiss flanked by bredren Sheek Louch and Styles P). Miming the hard rhyming right there in the studio as the banger played.
Video shot, edit and print. Sent! Watch and enjoy dopeness, plain and simple. Visuals for “Survivor” above. Links for the single, and the “The Trinity 2nd Sermon” EP, posted earlier below.
PJ – “On My Way Home” feat. Hezekiah x Johnny Popcorn (Video)
BANGER! The beat drops hard, and the lyrics go just as hard. The story though… that’s the real story!
Visuals for “On My Way Home,†the latest offering from PJ’s “Undercover” EP, features Philly based emcee/producer Hezekiah surrounded by revolutionary imagery bathed in a cascade of flashing lights crashing against harsh landscapes of the inner city. In the video, Hezekiah tells a story of social awareness in a generation of disillusionment and one man’s warring disposition in such dire circumstances.
Johnny Popcorn is ‘chanting’ up something powerful on the track too, right?
The L.O.X. – “The Trinity” (Free EP Stream)
And they are out with the EP faster than you can say D-Block! Sure, we posted a buy link for “The Trinity” (EP) the other day; but this stream we’re posting above now? FREE. Go!
The L.O.X. – “All We Know” (Prod. By Buda Da Future x Grandz)
Calling themselves the New York’s NWA now? Okay, we might can go with that. Styles P, Sheek Louch and Jadakiss do come through with NY attitude (Yonkers, to be precise) with their new cut from the upcoming project, “Trinity” (pre-order now via link below).
This is “We All We Know†(produced by Buda Da Future and Grandz).

R&B/Soul: Full Crate x Mar – “Man x Woman†(Mar Edit) [Video]
So smooth and soulful for a Sunday. Yeah, this is how it’s done. Full Crate and Mar got the single & remix EP (linked below) and the official video (above) for their “Man x Woman†(Mar Edit). Acoustic version of the track. Check.
Snoop’s Gotta Know: How High Can Kidd Kidd Get? That Question, 50 Cent, G-Unit And More On GGN (Video)
Sure they have an EP out, but why would G-Unit not have time to shoot the sh!t with Snoop on GGN. Curtis and his crew have a sit-down that blends hijinks and realness (like ‘depression is a luxury I can’t afford’ … damn, 50, deep). And when the ‘Weather with Stormy Frontz‘ segment comes on… some real THICKNESS. All with the Doggfather and his faithful followers (like us).
(And yeah, you WILL hear about how in the f#ck even Buck came back to work with 50 Cent. Remember their drama? Google that sh!t. But watch. This is a great watch!)
G-Unit – “Watch Me” (Video)
G-G-G-G… Are they still doing that? Haaa. No matter. But have you checked out that “Beauty of Independence” EP yet? Do that sh!t man. Dopeness like this on there. Visuals for the wilded out cypher-style clique track on deck above. Nice! high energy with lots o’ the eye candies scattered in there. This is for “Watch Me” by G-Unit.
Strobe & Essex – “Charades†(Produced By Jamille Malik) [Video]
How can you let your dreams turn into nightmares? It’s quite clear. You didn’t try hard enough. Or is it that you don’t care? And if you didn’t you can’t hate your boys when they shine; running in them streets when you should’ve been on your grind.
– Aural Essex
Right behind the single my folks drop the visuals AND “The Grand Arrival” (EP). Good work, fellas. Stop all the “Charades” and get on that grind…hard! Hip-Hop needs this from Boston’s finest – Aural Essex and Strobe IW. ‘Two cats from Boston, (Dorchester to be exact) who love hip-hop, anime, graffiti, and the truth,’ according to their Facebook fan page. Good dudes. Came across a good while back, listening in to Boston’s Time Travelin’ Radio (hosted by my good people DJ Nomadik and Darcie Nicole… what up ladies). Called into the show, chatted ’em up, and stayed in touch. Proud to know them.
Usually Essex is the main mic gripper; leaving the beat banging and business wrangling (for IW Records / Dorchester Univercity – label / manufacturing & merchandising) to Strobe. But on this chumpy, props given to producer Jamille Malik for music so cold I get shivers.
Well, enough from me. Watch the fellas take it to the streets in the video above. And as always, you can follow me at my Twitter handle below.

G-Unit – “Ahhh Sh!t” (Video)
Stirring theme can be uniquely treated with shakiness in the effects, to say the least. G-Unit just dropped an EP and this single, an of-by-and-for the streets joint called “Ahhh Sh!t.” Got the video embedded above (RIP Mike Brown, respect Ferguson protesters, #$%! police brutality). You can also pick up the EP (“The Beauty of Independence”) via the link below.
Termanology – “Front Door” feat. Sean Price (Produced By Shortfyuz) [Video]
Termanology and Sean Price kick in the “Front Door” of this Hip-Hop sh**! P rapping about other emcees needing to step up the skills instead of complaining about the current state of rap. Nice. Studio and stage footage blended up for a visual presentation by Rose Glen Ent. for the latest leak off Term’s “Mas G.O.Y.A.” EP. Produced by Shortfyuz.
R&B: Vanessa Elisha – “Midnight Swim” (EP)
