Lex Boogie From The Bronx – “Bad Gal RiRi Live From Lexington Station”
Just being creative and decided to do something the ladies might enjoy.
Reeeespect to Lex Boogie From The Bronx for always keeping up looped in with exclusives like this. Nice airy chant style music to this RiRi mix. Vibe, dance, whatever to this.
Ishawna Speaks On Her Career, “Equal Rights” And More (Video)
Fair warning: You are going to fall for Ishawna’s voice almost as fast as her fineness. Interesting talk about her being where from where so many other Dancehall greats are from, her coming up and her uniqueness in the genre. Of course, Sway and Ishawna had to get into all the dirty and the ‘dutty’ in her hit “Equal Rights” (hot). All kinds of great convo. Watch!
(Oh, Ishawna! The one Jah Prince interviewed back in the day. She mighty fine and stayed on the grind. That’s maaahd!

Konshens – “Gal Dem Sugar” (Video)
You see the title, and I know you thought what I thought… Konshens better not be trying to ‘slick bite’ off Beenie Man and Mya’s “Girl Dem Sugar” or else. But hold up, you get into the music (which is good) and the video (yup, that good-good), and realize that it kinda is. However, I took this as Konshens’ channeling of the essence of that Beenie–Mya. Massive cool dancehall is the result. Nice!
Jamaican reggae and dancehall artiste Konshens presents the official music vide for his 2016 single, “Gal Dem Sugar,” directed by RD Studios and G. Spence. Filmed on location in Jamaica.

Does your father know you’re a bad, bad, bad girl… Girl I wanna make you mine!
Damn. No hesitation on the “Make You Mine” track. Eric Bellinger gets straight to the business! Trying to envision the video, g’wan rude b’woy on a bad g’yal… dutty wiiine! Up-tempo fun track ought to give you all some ideas for setting off the weekend sweating. Good choice of a single to drop from his “Eric B For President: Term 2” EP (out now). Popcaan – “Nah Idle” (Video)
Dope track. Dooooope dancehall track! Bet money in any current currency that if you ride out and pull up with this bumping out your speakers, any attention you get will be the right attention. Smooth overall, with rough elements and an indescribable ‘night life’ feel to it. Popcaan got another one with this “Nah Idle” (visuals above).
Unity Sound – “Dancehall Mood 11” (Mixtape)
Unity Sound with the wind up & down for the long weekend set. It’s the “Dance Mood 11” mix. Described as Dancehall with a twist of Pop, it’s euphoric listening if you catch a vibe from this genre of music. At the least, it is great background music (with touches of Hip-Hop and R&B in there, too) for whatever shindig go to or throw for two… or more. Enjoy!
Kid Ink – “Nasty” feat. Jeremih x Spice (Video)
I mean, you’ve hung out and chilled… fell through a party spot full of the good looks, good drank and smoke… but can you really say you’ve done it like they did it in this Kid Ink (featuring Jeremih & Spice) video. That is, did you do it “Nasty” though? Are you sure?? Better watch just to be sure.
(Or you could just enjoy the cool music and aaaaallll them damn candied hams and yams pon dem sweet sexy sexies!!)
Exploring Kingston, Jamaica: Dre Skull x Popcaan Highlight The Roots & Culture (Video)
There it is. Music doing what it is supposed to do… The music entered his soul and spoke… made him a dancehall producer and bade him come to its home. Now it feels like his home. Watch the above vignette of producer Dre Skull traveling (once again) to Kingston; to immerse himself in the culture AND to link up with artist Popcaan to do work!
Aaaaah, back to Tuff Gong Studios. Others we’ve posted on have been there. See here.
Reggae/Dancehall: Mr. Vegas – “Can’t Stop Your Blessing”
One of my favorite reggae songs right now rocking over the Liquor Riddim. Niceness! Enjoy this Mr. Vegas – “Can’t Stop Your Blessing.” Respect!
Reggae: Magazeen – “So Low Wine” feat. Wale x Wizkid
I’m feeling the breezy island vibe of this new joint from Jamaican dancehall artist Magazeen. I’ve had the song on repeat about 10 times every since I heard it. Magazeen not a new artist, but he recently signed to Wale’s ‘EveryBlueMoon’ label through MMG a few months back. This new “So Low Wine” track definitely has a worldly influence & features D.C.’s Wale & Nigerian artist Wizkid. The new single will be on Magazeen’s upcoming “IRIE” EP dropping later this Summer. I love songs like this. Makes me want to take a flight to the Caribbean right now. Niiiiiice!

Eddy Kenzo – “Sitya Loss” (Video)
I fell in love with this song ever since I saw a youtube video of a few kids in Africa dancing too it. At the time I had no idea of who the artist was & had to take the time to track it down. Eventually I discovered the song was from Musuuza Edrisa who is a popular artist in East African widely known as “Eddy Kenzo”. The Ugandan born artist’s song ‘Sitya Loss’ is going viral in popularity thanks in large part to the original youtube video of the kids dancing in the clip. The video of the kids dancing has become so popular it’s even spawned various remixes like the Stanton Warrior’s video of ‘Loving Me Wrong’. Check out this brand new video from Eddy Kenzo as he joins the kids that made the song become more popular internationally. The remixes & original videos I’ve included after the jump. I’m glad I’ve finally found this song as it’s been promptly added to my itunes playlist & I’ve had it on repeat multiple times since then.
